If you are looking for a unique, eclectic, fun place to get away, welcome to ruby's rental!!! Walk just 3.5 blocks to downtown historic Ste Genevieve, Mo. We require a two night minimum for the weekends.

Come for the weekend, relax, stroll, drink wine, and eat lunch with Ruby' big sister Stella at "Stella and Me"café.

Explore great shops like Eden Farms and Friends, across from Stella's.
Other "must visit" locations: Sweet Things Sweet Shop, Show Me Shop, European Entitlements and more. We have few new boutiques in town, (Bella Ever After, and Queen Anne's Lace) I sell some of my favorite lines of gifts at Eden Farms, Steiger Jewelry and Rustic Sand Candles across from the Orris are also favorite shops.

Rubies rental has one bedroom (sleeps-2), a sleeping loft (sleeps-2), and a "Charlie Thomas original Murphy Bed (sleeps-2) in the living room.
Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!

Available now. We now have another rental (Ms Bette's) in the heart of downtown Sainte Genevieve with a French Country flair and a little eclectic mix thrown in. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths and will sleep 9. Check it out on VRBO.

Perfect Get-A-Way from St. Louis

Simple, cozy, eclectic, and private! Perfect for those looking for something that is not your typical hotel scene. Walking distance to Ste. Gen's historic district. If you are a fan of trains, then this is a perfect place to see, observer, and hear. The hot tub was perfect. Looking forward to a return trip during one of Ste. Genevieve's "events" weekend.

Absolutely stunning stay. Nothing to complain about. Loved the home, host was a good communicator and the location is prime. Train didn’t bother us at all! Actually, the conductor would honk the horn and wave at our son.

Girls Trip

We came for girls trip. Weekend getaway we loved staying here!!! We will definitely come again. It was close to everything. Adorable and unique. Loved the hot-tub. Exactly what we were looking for. We ate at Stellas would definitely recommend. Went shopping and listened to live music at the Biergarten.

Great Property, Location, Decor & Host!

Adorable property not far from the attractions, funs and eclectic decor! The hot tub and fire pit were our favorites for evenings at the house. Their hot tub use suggestions ar spot on!

Lovely property

The house is adorable decorated! We loved the fire pit and hot tub! As you can see in other reviews, the train does come right by the house, multiple times a day. It did not really bother us though. The ambiance more than made up for the noise. We would stay again if in the area!

Easy rental, check in and check out. Property is very nice and clean. Only issue is the trains but still great! Perfect for our girls trip!

Cute Getaway

Very cute little cottage for a quiet getaway. The hosts were accommodating and communicative. Yes, the train is close ans loud at times, but there are photos in the list8ng, so we knew what we were getting into.

Birthday Trip

We extremely enjoyed our stay at this property. Watching the train was one of the highlights of our trip. The smoke detector battery started chirping at 7pm on Saturday night and they were there to replace it in 3 minutes! It was exactly what we needed for a low key, quality time trip for my mom's birthday. ❤️

Girls Getaway

We are 4 childhood friends who try to get away for a weekend each year. This year we decided on St. Genevieve and had a wonderful time. Ruby's Place was a perfect base from which to explore the area. We loved the decor as well as the hot tub. We built a fire in the pit and made smores while we reminisced and enjoyed the company. Ruby's Place is a very simple, older home turned rental. We enjoyed our time and would recommend a stay if you're in the area.

A great little oasis!

The home was warm and inviting, clean and well-stocked. The hot tub was so nice and the yard felt very private and peaceful. Town is just a short drive up the road, so it’s convenient to all the fun shops and historical places, too.

It was absolutely lovely.I would of liked to know prior to renting about the loud train track right by the house. Absolutely everything else was fantastic and the hot tub so clean and well maintained.

Train Switching is Loud. Very LOUD.

There was plenty about the property that would have been fine I'm sure had we stayed longer than 20 minutes. That was all it took to realize it was going to be a loooooong night. Unbelievably loud, honks, clangs, and bangs. Sometimes house rattling rumbles. Under the impression we were a quick stroll from downtown we didn't anticipate being down by the river next to a train switching station. Lucky for us we had other options and decided to cut our losses and chalked up our experience to a lessened learned, a funny story to tell, and the most memorable anniversary we have ever had!

Family getaway

We stayed for the second time for a short spring break trip. Enjoyed the hot tub and being able to walk to historic district or Mississippi River. Def recommend Stella & Me Cafe. Short drive to Pickle Creek hiking trail was added bonus this year.
