Escape to a cozy creekside tiny cabin on 9 peaceful acres in Almond near Bryson City. Relax in the hot tub under the stars, gather around the firepit, and enjoy the private deck beside a babbling brook. Inside you'll find a tiled shower, small kitchen, and washer/dryer. Perfect for a romantic Smoky Mountain getaway. Pet friendly and minutes from the NOC, Tsali mountain biking trails, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, and the Tail of the Dragon.

The space
This pet-friendly tiny cabin offers comfort and style in a cozy 200 sq. ft. open-concept space with everything you need tucked neatly inside. Small in size but big on charm, the cabin features thoughtful upgrades throughout.

The kitchen includes granite countertops, a small refrigerator, stove, and microwave, along with a convenient washer and dryer. The bathroom features a tiled shower with custom pebble flooring and a travertine vessel sink with granite counter.

Relax in the comfortable queen bed with a handcrafted wood headboard and matching end tables. Enjoy meals at the indoor dining table or outside on the spacious deck, where you’ll find an outdoor dining area, hot tub, and firepit. A peaceful creek flows just beside the cabin, adding to the relaxing mountain setting.

This is the perfect spot for a solo trip! Great location tucked away in the woods with gas stations and grocery stores within driving distance. I recommend this property and Shelby was a great host.

The hot tub was clean and heated up nicely. The cabin was clean and cozy. The area was very quiet with the nice trickle from the stream next to the cabin.

We had the best time at the Creekside Cricket! Our pup Bo had the best time playing in the Creek. Despite the rainy weather we enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the hot tub! Service was spotty for us even with WiFi, but it was also nice to disconnect. I was able complete homework on my laptop which was good! Space was clean and comfy! Would love to visit again! Host was accommodating and easy to communicate with if needed! Highly recommend!

The property is really quiet and nice. The air conditioning is cold and the shower is wonderful. The wifi is adequate. The communication with the property owner was fantastic. Check in was easy.

Wonderful place to detach and relax

Perfect place to get away from the daily routine to relax and enjoy nature. Lots of places to visit and enjoy the magnificent scenery at the same time. Cute place and big enough for a couple to spend quality time together watching tv, cooking, grilling sitting by the fire pit and the wonderful hot tub!! Had some questions and Shelby got back right away and was super friendly. We'll definitely come back again.

Cute little getaway

We booked for a week long anniversary trip. We usually camp/backpack but wanted something more comfy this year. Perfect for hiking and soothing muscles afterwards in the hot tub under the stars!! The road in front of the place had a rather large ditch probably due to water erosion, but that’s not the owners fault!

It was such a pleasure hosting you and glad you enjoyed our tiny house accommodations in the mountains. The ditch/rut in the road mentioned is from the recent storm above the cabin. Our parking area is actually below the cabin so you shouldn’t need to ever traverse that area. Thanks again for staying and hope to host you again!

Creekside Cricket Cabin

It was exactly as it was described. One room studio cabin and great to have stove and hot tub. It was extremely difficult to get our trailer up to it and barely turned around, so I would suggest only bringing a car or truck (do not bring a trailer!) cabin was just as it was described and AC was great.

Thanks for staying and your great review. We do offer easy access and a nice parking area to accomodate several vehicles and I agree we are not best suited for towing and turning around a trailer. Thanks again for staying!

Thank you to the cleaning lady for helping making it happen. My wife is very very happy with everything, and thank you for the flowers. Many things to do and see in very close vicinity. The property is very nice for two ppl, comfortable, everything work, nice and clean. Was a good time to spent together building our relationship.

Cool little cabin but there are some issues

I had a fantastic stay at this location. The cabin was clean, cozy, and provided ample parking for my truck with a trailer. The air conditioning was pleasantly cold, and the hot tub was a much-needed relief after a long 12 hour drive and a thrilling ride through the Tail of the Dragon.The convenience of having a general shop just 10 minutes away was a plus, and everyone at the property was friendly and welcoming.However, there were a few concerns during my stay. The seal on the mini fridge was faulty, requiring me to prop a small chair against the door to ensure my food and drinks stayed cold. Additionally, the cabin had a strong odor of cigarette smoke, particularly when I turned on the shower vent. Unfortunately, this resulted in all of my and my girlfriend’s clothes absorbing the smell, even after keeping the windows open all day and running the fan continuously.Another issue was with the lighting—when dimmed to the lowest setting, the lights flickered excessively, though they functioned properly when fully turned on.Also I'm not sure if the cabin was supposed to be tilted, but from the moment you walk in you can definitely tell the cabin is slanted toward the door and porch. Messed with my balance for a second until I got used to it. Despite these concerns, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the location had several positive attributes that made the stay worthwhile.

Nice Getaway

This was my first experience using vrbo. The rental process was very easy and only took minutes. The property owner was very nice and professional answering any questions I had. We loved the location and the cabin was the perfect size. The only suggestion I could make would be for the owner to evaluate the bed. It was not comfortable. Other than that it was a wonderful experience!

Great Stay Between the Holidays

We had a great stay with our pup. Plenty of room for him to roam and smell everything. We had great temperatures with some rain. No complaints at all would stay again for sure.

4th wedding anniversary getaway

This cabin is perfectly sized for 2 people, and positioned perfectly to allow easy access to numerous areas (Gatlinburg, Asheville, Bryson City). Nature is right outside the front door and the night time sky is filled with stars. The owners of the property were amazingly helpful answering any and all questions and helping to make this a truly memorable vacation.

Great road for motorcycles!

This little house was so cute, tables and headboard were gorgeous! Description was accurate, it's small, no problem for us just keep it in mind. The best part was how easy it was to come and go on a motorcycle. Most cabins we've rented have seemingly endless dirt roads, this had about a tenth of a mile, one wide curve and a very slight incline. If you have any experience riding on dirt you won't have any problems. Plenty of room to park a trailer (ours is 7"x16" plus extended cab truck) although turning it around was a little tricky. There is a driveway though just before the house you can back into, just make sure you have a good spotter to help. There is another house next door, but the deck and hot tub face away from it, so as long as your neighbors aren't noisy you won't notice it. The road is also right next to the house, but it wasn't busy, we saw maybe three cars during the day. I usually look for complete seclusion, but knew this ahead of time and was willing to compromise in exchange for having a road that was easy to travel. The owner is awesome!! Immediate responses and completely honest and up front, even said this may not be ideal for two people for a full weeks because of the size (for my husband and I it was perfectly fine, we spend most of our time outside or in the bike anyway). Overall great place to stay, only reason I gave four stars on location was my preference for seclusion, but again, I knew there were neighbors ahead of time and chose it anyway, and that's just a matter of preference! I would definitely recommend renting for this owner as well, she is great!

Such a Sweet Place!

We stayed here for 2019 MOTD. My husband is 6'2" and felt fine in this tiny home. The hot tub was a great add. We slept with the windows cracked to hear the gurgling brook outside the window. The host was wonderful! Super fast response time and very helpful with locating property.

I like to write, read, eat really good food in really nice or really unusual restaurants, and listen to all kinds of music (country, jazz, blues, classical, old rock) I appreciate a finely crafted cocktail and prefer "top shelf". My husband and I have 10 horses (mostly quarter horses) and we like to trail ride at the beach and numerous state parks. I am a fan of camping. I would like to work on the "glamping" thing. I work full time as a realtor in NE Florida. I specialize in St. Augustine which is the oldest city in the US! My work keeps me really busy but I like it as I get to work with buyers and sellers from all different walks of life and I get to see a lot of nice homes. I like renovation projects best as I love to see an old home with good bones get new life. In early life I grew up on 40 acres in Pennsylvania. I moved to S. Florida in the 80's and now live near St. Augustine, FL.

My husband and I used to walk by this farm regulary when we would stay at our other vacation home and say wouldnt that be nice to have someday. And then one day there was a for sale sign in the yard and the rest is history. We love the acreage, So much room, so much privacy, so much beauty! We enjoy the sound of the creek as it slowly meanders through the property and we love to see the wildlife as it appears. We were also very sold on the easy access and the convenience of the location to all the area's ammenities and activities! This lil cabin in one of two cabins on this huge and private property. It was formerly a dog grooming parlor. I did a complete renovation of the building and made sure to squeeze in every ammenity and upgrade I could think of when I was bringing this adorable 200sf of space to life!

Super close to NOC, Lake Fontana, Smokey Mountain Railroad. Super easy access on a paved road and gravel road with plenty of room to park vehicles and or a boat. Really quiet and peaceful setting but so close to so many wonderful things to do!
