Location, Location, Location! Just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and in the heart of the Arts and Crafts Community. Easy travel with minimal traffic, to and from Pigeon Forge using Stoplight 1, via the National Park. It's a close and easy drive to all area attractions and restaurants, yet tucked away in a nice, quiet private setting. The comfortable sofa is perfect for stretching out in front of the fireplace and watching TV, or reading a good book. It also pulls out to a queen size sleeper with a brand new comfortable mattress. Or you can choose to enjoy a good game of pool. The bedroom is outfitted with real log furniture and a comfortable king sized bed. Also with a spacious bathroom with a private two-person jacuzzi tub. The fully stocked kitchen allows you the option of having a romantic meal at home, where you can also enjoy the warmth of the gas-log fireplace. Plenty of space between neighbors allows for privacy when relaxing in the brand new outdoor hot tub and enjoying the mountain view. Spacious, level yard for outdoor games. Easy access to all attractions, but still private and tucked in the mountains. Level parking area with easy street access. This cabin provides a perfect, peaceful, and stress-free getaway.

Romantic get away

It was great. Quite and left alone to have a romantic get away with my wife. Privacy at the cabin and privacy at the hot tub and the view from the deck was awesome. It was great getting away over new years.

Was an amazing place

The property was so beautiful and loved it. Only thing needed is a new king mattress it was live being sunk into a whole in the middle and very squeaky, and the couch has no cushion was like very hard. But besides those 2 things it was an amazing experience to stay I. A cabin.

Beautiful hideaway

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Mountain Joy so much! The cabin was very cozy and clean and had everything you could need. The mountain views were incredible and nothing beat sitting in the hot tub at night looking up at the stars! I hope we can return soon!

Great location and beautiful property!

Great size for two people. Nice and comfy feeling to the cabin as well. Very quiet. It needs some small upkeep like some rotten wood on the deck door needs replacing and the front door knob felt loose. A bunch of ladybugs had gotten inside near the bay windows. We didn't try the jacuzi tub or the hot tub outside, but they were pretty. Disappointed we didn't get to see any bears

A quick getaway

We love Gatlinburg and have been many many times with our family and friends for 40 years. Sometimes acabin and sometimes a condo, but prefer a cabin. This is s nice little cabin for a couple and it has a great view and easy to get to. It needs a bit of updating and a new paint job, the pool table could go and the deck is getting weathered, but we would say again

Stayed Sept 30th and Oct 1

Our initial impression was the detail in cleanliness, and beauty of the cabin. Everything was in perfect working order We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were lucky enough to see a big black bear outside the kitchen window when we returned the late afternoon of the 1st. Fortunately, the best was by the kitchen window so we didn't have close contact with the bear. My partner is a bear hunter and was all kinds of excited to see a bear. I tried to get a picture, but didn't get a good picture. Outside of that. Our stay was perfect.

Fake damage charges after the stay

Our stay was great. The problem was after we completed the stay, we were hit with damage charges that were pre-existing. We tried communicating with the owner and with VRBO with no success. The entire process has put a bad taste in our mouths, and we will not be renting a VRBO again in the future.

Cozy

Great view, somewhat secluded and yet convenient location. It's definitely ready for some TLC/upgrades. I was hoping to sit on deck and read while enjoying the view, but there were no suitable chairs, even inside.

Nice cabin in the woods

Nice cabin in the woods. We saw a bear out the kitchen window! Loved the hot tub and closeness to downtown Gatlinburg.

Great Honeymoon

This was such a great place to stay. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. There was a beautiful view. A great clean hottub. A very nice jacuzzi tub. I would definitely stay again. Only thing i would recommend is getting steps for the hottub.

Awesome view

We wanted to get in the hot tub but we felt that the boards were not sturdy enough! Overall it was a great view bed was comfy and the bathtub was great. Maybe getting a step stool for getting out of the bathtub. We also saw a big bear trying to get in the trash we hit my lock button on my car a few times n it ran away!

Nice secluded getaway

We loved the cabin. Very closed to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and only a few minutes from Dollywood. The view from the back deck is incredible. I would highly recommend this rental and will stay there again.

My childhood vacations always included passing through the area on our way to see family in Tennessee. I have always enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness that the mountains have to offer. After hiking the Appalachian Trail several times, I knew that I wanted a place near Gatlinburg. This cabin is my dream come true and I am pleased to share it with my guests. I only ask that my guests treat the cabin with kindness and respect, so others can enjoy it also.

I chose Mountain Joy because it is located just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and the Arts and Craft Community, and yet it is tucked away in the mountain which allows for privacy. The roads are well maintained easy to navigate. Nice level parking with easy street access. I also love the level yard which offers a lot of room for outside activities.

Close to all the attractions and restaurants and yet tucked away in a nice quiet private setting. Very spacious floor plan with lots of natural light offers a comfortable place, with a beautiful view, for your getaway. I pride myself in the cleanliness of my properties.
