We really enjoyed our stay at La Casa. The boat launch at La Casa was treacherous but residents let us know not to use that boat launch before we tried and directed us to the public boat launch at Fintry park a few minutes down the road. The host was very responsive the home was very clean and well stocked.

loved the cabin overall, great location and killer view, lots of room and a joy to stay in in Fintry, will be back next year for sure.

We have been to LaCasa many times and always look forward to this vacation. This particular host was challenging to work with. Due to wildfires on the area, LaCasa was evacuated and the area was under a state of emergency leading up to our dates. We attempted to communicate with the host and requested a cancellation which was denied. The evacuation was lifted days before we were to go, despite the area still being under an alert, the road to the resort was closed from the north, and a boil water advisory being in effect. We had no recourse options through VRBO either. Host didn’t communicate any of these concerns, we had to find out my contacting Strata Staff at LaCasa who were great. We were some of the only guests on site this week, it was mostly owners there checking on their property from the fires and in the area. While we still enjoyed our vacation, it was very smoky, the store and restaurant were not fully operational, a pool was closed, etc. he offered no compensation and never communicated once with us. Once they had their money that was all they cared about. Would never rent from this host or recommend them. There are lots of great properties and hosts in this same resort but this is not one of them.

Thank-you for raising your concerns; however, your comments are unfounded as all relevant information was provided in advance of your arrival. You were advised on the road access, boil water advisory, limited selection form local grocery and restaurant, as well as recommendation to shop for groceries from big box retailers in advance of arrival - perhaps you misread the communications. We rented you a cottage with full complementary access to all amenities noting that the upper level pool and hot tub were fully open during your stay. We have no control over wildfires and relevant smoke that can travel anywhere at anytime from any fire no matter the distance. In general, the air quality and weather reports were low to moderate risk during your stay. Any travel interruption insurance only applies under an evacuation order and/or when access to the vacation rental is blocked which did not apply in your case. In closing, we wish you safe and enjoyable future travels. Robert & Christine Z.

Close to lake

Great location if you want to be close to the lake! Only thing would be that they only provided one garbage bag and 1 dish cloth and kitchen towel. We would stay again!

Overall great stay, location is prime, with a gorgeous view, the house was spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots pans etc and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The one room upstairs has a great lake view. The lake is close and it does have a wibbit that our kids loved. The shop up top is great, they have a restaurant and a variety of awesome treats and a well stocked convenience store. Staff are lovely. Other feedback (that would not stop us from coming back, but good to know). Im going to presume the cleaner missed cleaning the fridge/freezer and microwave as they were in a bit of of a state and the washing machine likely needed a solid clean, its got a bit of a moldy smell. Aside from that it was tidy. The pool near the tennis courts is closed leaving one pool open on the upper level and parking can be tight with everyone going up there and the pool does get busy. You have to go up a huge hill to get to the pool - we walked the one day as there was no parking and its a TREK! Golf carts are available to rent but come at a hefty price tag 125 a day. Bring games to play if thats your thing, pool floats, racquets and balls, putters and balls if you have them, the shop has putters at a low fee if not.

Family experience

We had some hiccups checking in, and the boiling water thing was a pain, but overall it was a great place. A bit further from Kelowna than we would have liked. The pool and lake were great to do on days we weren’t venturing out. Make sure to bring groceries!!

Nice view of the lake

The view of the lake was just as advertised. The beach was all rocks as was the lake bottom. The saving grace was the trampoline etc out in the water. We enjoyed Fintry Provincial Park very much and it was only about a 10 minute drive. I would not stay here again as it was difficult to get in/ out and around..

Luxurious Lake View Cottage

This holiday home exceeded our expectations in so many ways. It’s super spacious and comfortable, the high windows offer amazing views, the patio and BBQ are awesome and air conditioning was nice and cool during hot summer days. Easy access to the lake and pool as well as mini golf and an Italian restaurant on site kept us entertained on the days we didn’t drive into Kelowna (about 30 min away by car). What an amazing place to relax at and enjoy summer. Communication with Robert was easy, straightforward and prompt. We had such a great time staying there and would definitely recommend it! It's okay. Clean and nice

Place is clean. Pictures make it look like it's right next to the lake which is not, almost impossible to walk down to the path to beach. Rails on deck are extremely wobbly. Beds and pillows were horrible. It has a nice view of the lake . Not much in the resort to do. They have a pool . Road is difficult to get to cottage. Too far from city.

If the guest could read they would know that all details regarding the property and surroundings were provided in advance. Guest forgot to mention the other amenities provided - there are two pool and hot tub areas, marina, beach, aqua trampolines, mini -golf, tennis, pickleball etcetera. As well, Fintry Provincial Park is next door to provide additional trails and beach areas. Only thing wobbly was this guests view of reality.

Amazing place!

We definitely enjoyed our stay in Robert and Christine’s place. Everything we needed was there. The place was perfect for us we were able to do a lot of things in the resort. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool, we hiked, had a relaxed time beside the lake. It’s a 45 min-1 hr travel to Kelowna DT though if you feel like going to the mall. We appreciate the smooth transaction. No problem with checking in. We are hoping to come back next year maybe last wk of June or September. It was rainy 1st wk of June when we went but it was fine, cant complain, we had our much needed r & r at this place. Quiet neighbourhood. Just the view of the lake from the balcony was perfect already.

Basics at great resort

We have owned and stayed at La Casa, and its our favorite destination. The cottage is in a great location on lower level closer to trails down which we liked. The cottage we stayed at was very basic, with not alot of extras. Definitely need to check what is available in kitchen as was no blender, can opener, and not a lot to store food in ect.Pots were not non stick, so this made some of our cooking a bit tricky like pancakes.No beach towels, so bring your own.The ask to do so much cleaning and stripping of beds a bit much for the cost.However the owners were very great at answering questions and when had issue with propane they came out next day and fixed the issues! So we really appreciated the quick responses and communication. Overall a good experience.

Great View

Fabulous view right from the deck! As a result though - the hike down to the lake is a steep one with young kids. Well appointed cottage - just the right amount of space for a family of four (with baby in our room) and a set of grandparents. Not very well stocked for any length of time so come prepared with necessities such as paper towel, oil, salt and pepper, beach towels etc. (Available at the convenience store up the road). Nice location, good area for swimming including an aqua park in the lake and the choice of two swimming pools. Really nice to have A/C and it worked well and consistently once we figured out how to get it to kick-in. The strata does not allow RV parking anywhere in the community so bear in mind if you or anyone in your party intend to travel with one. Great place for a family vacation!

Glorious lake view

This is a lovely property in a an awesome Lakeside community. It’s quite spacious, as we were a party of 6 - 2 kids and 4 adults, and everyone felt they had enough space to sprawl out. There weren’t quite enough seats in the living room for all of us to sit in there at once, but we made do. The beach is quite rocky so bring crocks or water shoes to spare your feet. Store on property is convenient but you pay for the convenience. Food at the cafe/kitchen is actually pretty good. Some nice frozen meals too like lasagna, soups, pizzas The view from the balcony of this cottage is almost fully lake view and we loved that. Spent most nights on the deck just enjoying the view and loving life. The downstairs shower head sprays all over the place BUT down (except for a small bit of water), but the upstairs shower works good. All in all this is a nice property in a great beach community and we enjoyed our time there very much.
