This Matapouri holiday home includes modern bright and welcoming open plan living, with ample room to kick back and relax. For romantic winter getaways, the fireplace is a perfect addition... Or enjoy seamless outdoor flow onto the well appointed deck and BBQ area - the lush, private garden setting is the an excellent backdrop to your refreshing stay!

Bedroom 1 at Matapouri Hideaway features a queen-sized bed, while Bedrooms 2 and 3 offer a mix of sleeping arrangements, including single bunk beds, a queen bed, and a triple bunk (single on top, double on the bottom).

For holiday supplies, the local store is a moments walk away, or hit the beach for days in the sand and surf an easy 5 minute walk away - the outdoor shower is ideal after days at the beach! Plus, there are plenty of other great beaches to visit all within easy driving distance when you feel like exploring...

Labour weekend

Great stay thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Super close to shops and beach. It was windy when we were there but the house was nice and sheltered. Can’t complain about anything would definitely stay again

Great location

This was a brilliant place for us to stay on a trip with three adult sisters and their kids. The set up of the rooms (the bunk room comes off one of the double rooms) works for family but means lots of traffic through that room. Two toilets is great. The yard is brilliant - lovely and private, nice to sit outside with a big group.

Great old school bach with beautiful garden

Perfect spot to stay in amazing Matapouri. The house is pretty well equipped for large family or group. Large garden and deck are entertainer’s dream. Our toddler loved toys, trampoline and swings. Highly recommended!

Great location. It was nice to have toys and a highchair for our 1 year old. Trampoline was a hit.

We had a lovely stay, house was a great size and very short walk to the beach. There were plenty of toys to keep the children entertained. Only downside was the house was in a need of a decent spring clean, it was a bit dusty and there were cobwebs. We couldnt use the bbq as it hadnt been cleaned since its last use im guessing. We did have a nice time though.

Poor communication from property manager

When we arrived the house smelled terrible - found a fish gutting station alongside the house with fish waste washed under the house (including main bedroom and bathroom). Smell was awful. Called Bachcare are received no follow up call as promised, or no assistance. We couldn't use one of the rooms for 2 nights due to the smell. House also has insufficient hot water supply.

Fantastic property, big enough for a large family or cosy enough for...

Fantastic property, big enough for a large family or cosy enough for two! Large open kitchen with plenty of equipment and cooking utensils. Very close to the beach, being only a couple of minutes walk. Bed was comfy and the property was clean and well looked after.

Fabulous place and very well kept.

Fabulous place and very well kept. We really enjoyed staying here and just a short walk to the beach and the shop. The area is a beautiful and there is so much to do. We will certainly come back.
