A 6 km du village de Stratford Qc, on vous offre un chalet récemment rénové -bois de chauffage inclus! - au Lac Thor faisant face au Parc Frontenac. C’est un endroit de rêve pour les amants de la nature, généralement très tranquille! Il y a 2 chambres avec lits doubles, matelas neufs et confortables, et un sofa lit près du feu. Le chalet fait partie de notre forêt de 100 acres pr les randonnées .PAS D’INTERNET NI CABLODIFFUSION offertes: l’occasion de vous débrancher! Pensez nature!

Located 6 km from the village of Stratford, we offer you a newly renovated cottage on Lake Thor facing Frontenac provincial park. It is a dream place for nature lovers, very quiet lake without big boats or jet skis. There are 2 bedrooms with double beds, new mattresses and very comfortable. The sofa-bed is also new. The chalet is on the edge of 38 hectares of land (one hundred acre wood) for long walks in the forest. No internet connection offered to give you the rare opportunity to unplug!

Well kept and well equipped cottage on a picturesque mountain lake. Host was very solicitous.He always popped up to see what was happening. We found the toilet on a holding tank rather worrisome and a bit too “fragrant” for a 2 week stay.But overall it was a great value in a beautiful location!!

Merci de laisser un commentaire ! Maintenant je dois rectifier les faits . Vous avez passé 2 semaines à notre chalet et nous 48h ! à notre autre chalet loin du vôtre . Nous sommes passés deux fois et vs étiez avertis de notre passage : l’une pour tondre le gazon , l’autre pour laver les filtres de la thermopompe . Puis nous sommes passés quelquefois nous baigner en restant sur notre autre lot au bord du lac . Votre époux m’a parfois salué et commencé une conversation qui a toujours été courte. Si nous étions «envahissants» je me demande pourquoi vs ns avez invités à prendre le thé , invitation déclinée par manque de temps . Enfin, personne d’autre ne nous a parlé d’une fosse sceptique nauséabonde. D’emblée, content de savoir que vs êtes malgré tout satisfaite de votre séjour.

Very Nice Cottage

We have nothing but positive comments. Excellent host, great communication and information. Beautiful, little cottage, very well equipped on a peaceful tranquil lake! We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for a relaxing trip

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We were there with our small dog and it was the perfect place to get away and relax. The lake was extremely quiet and we saw very few other people around. We were able to visit the sepaq park and had a beautiful hike. The lake water was extremely clean (you could see the bottom!) and we enjoyed swimming and using the kayaks!

Perfect get-away stay for my husband, myself and out small dog.

Just what we needed! The cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. On a quiet road with little traffic, overlooking a beautiful lake and park. Trails to hike nearby, interesting towns to explore in the area if you want a road trip. The host is very responsive and communicative. A1!

Small Quebec Getaway

Cottage appears as shown in images. There is Wi-Fi, and a screen + DVD player for entertainment. The waterfront is shallow and the lake is calm and quiet. Recommend water shoes as there are mussels. A nice hiking trail right outside the cottage. Most trails in the area do not allow dogs.

Thanks for pointing out some of the good features and equipment of our cottage , and also for reminding everyone to bring water shoes along . I ´m not sure where you’ve been hiking , but I can assure you most trails do accept dogs . This is a very low density population area and there are virtually no rules about dogs. However , in the Frontenac provincial park , it is another matter all together. Thanks again for your visit!

Calm on the lake shore

As per our expectations with exception of cycling. Very nice lake with one side adjacent to a provincial park. The cottage is just fine and very well located. Perfect for kayaking. Area is mediocre for road cycling. Surrounded by 90 km/HR max speed roads.

Such a relaxing quiet stay!

We spent 5 days here (2 adults & our puppy). The communication with Regean was very good. We found the cottage comfortable after doing a light cleaning ourselves. The property is nice with a beautiful view of the lake. The water at the property is shallow which was good for the dog. The place provides 2 kayaks and a pédalo which we used to visit the beach at the provincial park across the lake (fun outing). The location was very quiet (though we were there during week days, after school started up). The patio, BBQ and walking the cottage road were nice. The kitchen is well appointed. There is a small market with food & wines maybe a 10 min drive away but we were happy to have come well stocked. Overall nice stay at a good spot.

Thank you very much for your positive review! I am Very sorry about the light cleaning you had to do! The person responsible to do the maintenance is recovering from a short illness. If you read the previous reviews, it has never been an issue. She is doing better every week, and I don't think she will lower our standards in the future. -- Note the place is generally very VERY quiet as 60% of the lake is in the Frontenac provincial park. ---Thanks again for your input and especially in your choice of title for the review.

Peaceful Winter Break

We found ourselves forced to relax and unwind, which was the plan. The view of the snow covered lake from the huge windows of the chalet was peaceful and we were surprised that it wasn’t buzzing with snowmobiles before we learned that local community isn’t a fan of motorized toys in the summer either. The chalet was snug, very clean, with a well equipped kitchen and ample towels etc in the bathroom. We lit the wood stove every evening and enjoyed our wine and books or watched a movie until bedtime. Because there’s no wifi or tv, we loaded movies onto the iPad before we left home. Heading home now much more relaxed than 10 days ago.

The site was exactly as posted. The host was pleasant and very helpful offering places to visit. Didn't need anything because the chalet was well equipped with full amenities. The view is spectacular, crystal clear lake water and absolute quiet and peace. We brought our 2 dogs (no maximum weight) and they ran around the property and splashed in the water. Inside the chalet we felt very comfortable and appreciated the view of the lake. I highly recommend this venue.

Merci de votre évaluation! Désolé de l’état de votre connexion cellulaire durant votre séjour : vs devriez en parler à votre fournisseur de services. Je n’en suis aucunement responsable. Peut-être auriez vous pu vous brancher sur le wifi et utiliser WhatsApp ou Messenger car le tout est branché sur la fibre optique à une vitesse de plus de 400 mbps . C’est très très rapide ! Enfin, j’espère que vs avez fait bonne pêche!

Magnifique environnement, très reposant !

Très beau séjour, nous avons bcp aimé le lac et la vue. Chalet très propre, tout y est, photos représentatives. Très facile de communiquer avec l'hôte, répond rapidement.

Joli petit chalet en première rangée

Nous avons passé 6 jours au bord d’un lac calme et d’un chalet super bien équipé.Le propriétaire veille au confort des invités.Nous avons trouvé ce que nous recherchions..un lac sans embarcations à moteur pour être dans la nature et pouvoir nous baigner.Nous vous le recommandons..

Pour les gens qui liront ceci je dois préciser qu’il y a des embarcations à moteur sur ce lac, peut-être une douzaine seulement et surtout des pontons . D’emblée personne ne navigue à grande vitesse et bien heureusement les motomarines sont strictement interdites. J’espère sincèrement avoir le plaisir de vous recevoir de nouveau bientôt. Ciao

Apprécie le séjour . Tranquille, voisin très près. Sentier en forêt disponible mais non indiqué clairement

Merci de votre évaluation, somme toute positive . Content que vous ayez apprécié la tranquillité des lieux malgré la proximité des voisins. Pour ceux qui liront ceci, il faut savoir que le chalet fait face au lac Thor, célèbre pour le tonnerre qui fait écho tout autour des rives . Tout juste Derrière à quelques mètres seulement… il y a notre forêt de 100 acres . À droite , il y a un autre chalet et les occupants étaient absents lors de votre passage . Puis enfin sur la gauche , un autre terrain qui m’appartient et où ns sommes allés seulement pendant 10 minutes . En ce qui concerne les instructions , je vous ai envoyé une carte des marches possibles en forêt 6 jours avant votre arrivée. Si ce n’était pas clair , j’aurais pu facilement vous envoyer d’autres instructions. —Merci beaucoup de votre visite et d’avoir tout laissé en ordre .

Weekend mémorable

Non seulement la météo était de notre côté, mais le confort, la propreté et les commodités du chalet on contribué à faire de cette fin de semaine, un moment mémorable.
