The house is an excellent place for a family lakeside getaway- it is equipped with the water essentials, and the furnishings and appointments in the home made it very comfortable for our family (5 kids and 4 adults) to enjoy two weeks. Rudy was communicative and generously offered recommendations for places to go and things to do in the area.

This is a great property and we had a wonderful time. The only downside was that there was an mis communication regarding the drinking water. It has iron with a strong sulphuric smell. The host did tell about this but did not emphasize that a special system needed to be taken from a locked closet and put on. We bought our own drinking water. Otherwise, everything was in excellent shape.

So happy you enjoyed our home! Yes, it is beautiful in early fall. There is a high iron content in the water in the Lake Cascade and Donnelly area. That is why we have a commercial grade water purification system tied into the water intake for the house. It is located in the locked owner's closet. The system fills up most of the closet area. THERE IS NOTHING TO HOOK UP OR "PUT ON". This is clearly explained on our property description on our listing AND in our Welcome Guide. Unfortunately this guest misunderstood my text to her about the the system being in the locked owner's closet and mistakenly thought she was supposed to take something out and "put it on". That is not correct. Our property manager maintains the water purification system. There is nothing for guests to do...just turn on faucets.

This place is absolutely incredible! From the moment we pulled up, we were blown away by how beautiful the property is. The views of the lake and mountains are amazing.The dock and lake access were a total hit with the kids. They had the best time jumping off the dock and playing around in the water all day long. And then topping each night off in the hot tub was Just awesome! the best part was it would actually get hot unlike many other places we have stayed. The cabin was beautiful and the mattresses and pillows were so comfortable. Which is sometimes a big complaint at many VRBOs. But not at this place. Rudy was a great host, quick to respond to any questions. His place is incredible . We made so many great memories there, and our entire family can’t wait to go back!

Great family getaway!

Our family enjoyed our stay at this lovely renovated home! The home was clean and comfortable with all thoughtful touches to make the stay easy and fun! And the location is unbeatable! Property owners were friendly and super helpful both before and during our stay!

Great for families

Our family had a blast. This was perfect for what we needed it for. The place is super clean and the owners were easy to work with. We will definitely will be staying here again.

Great Location with an Outstanding View!

We just enjoyed a two family vacation with our best friends. This is they type of location were memories are made and the hosts are super-helpful with anything you may need.

Beautiful Location

We had a small Family/close friends (40 people) wedding and it could not have been a better location and setting. The remodeled Kitchen and Bathrooms were stunning. Loved every second of our stay and ended up to be amazing weekend.

Mid-Sept family getaway

The backyard property and view is amazing. Nearby activities are plentiful. Spacious living area for 7 of us. Enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub.

Fun and relaxing for the entire family

Absolutely stunning property with dock and hot tub that kept our kids playing and swimming outside from dawn until bedtime. Kitchen well equipped for cooking at home and plenty of bedrooms for everyone to curl up after a busy day.

A Great Getaway

Great house right on the water with all the amenities you could want. The hot tub was wonderful with a gorgeous view. McCall is just about 15 minutes away if you want to shop, eat out, or replenish groceries. We can't wait to visit again.

Wonderful family memories

We had a wonderful time at the Rudolph retreat! The house is comfortable and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The setting is gorgeous and we got to see lots of beautiful wildlife and kids had a great time both playing in the water and warming up in the hot tub.

Perfect family gathering place!

From the new rock landing with sand play area for the little ones to the perfectly stocked bathrooms and kitchen, this is the place to book for family/friends fun. The owner’s communication was excellent. Every one in our group gave it two thumbs up!

Awesome Place!

Great home with perfect layout for families and amazing location with beautiful view! There was nothing we could complain about. The environment allowed us to truly have an amazing long weekend. Our family and friends have already asked if we can go back!

Beautiful Views and Comfortable Stay

My wife and I invited two other couples to celebrate my 40th birthday. We stayed here and played golf several of the days. This house was the ideal place to stay. The view of the lake is amazing and the house is laid out really well. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub... two features that were perfect for a group our size to enjoy. We'll definitely try to stay here again.

Perfect serene reflecting location

This was a perfect cabin for our entire family to reflect the past year with the passing of our 11 year old granddaughter, in memory of her struggle no more with a DMG brain tumor. She passed away on May 21, 2020. Beautiful location!

Beautiful view and great location

My husband and I had never been to Idaho and knew nothing about the area. We found this home blindly and were happy we did. The location is great. Close to tamarack, cascade, McCall and 3 miles from town. Easy to get to from Boise airport and a scenic two hour drive. The home had everything we needed and more. We can’t wait to come back with the kids!!

Beautiful lakefront propert

We had an incredible week at this home! We were able to dock our boat at the private dock, boat everyday, enjoy the beautiful backyard, the location near the boat dock, and a great neighborhood to ride bikes around. We enjoyed mountain biking at bear basin and going into McCall for restaurants and shopping. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. This has definitely been one of our favorite family weeks!

Perfect slice of paradise!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location! The house couldn’t have been more perfect for our family. We had access to the lake and the toys to play on the water. My guys spent quite a bit of time fishing which was the highlight for them. We loved time around the fire at night. It was peaceful and perfect! Thank you.

Rudys Retreat

We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. It was absolutely serene. Tucked into a little cove, surrounded by moutains. Theres lush green grass right up to the private little white sand beach. The huge, updated kitchen was fantastic for cooking meals. The master suite bed and shower were amazing. We slept like babies. We had such a great time. We used the firepit and hottub every night. We enjoyed every moment and will definitely be coming back.
