We had a comfortable stay in Shunters cottage. It is in a cute setting next to Waihi Railway Station. The kitchen was well-appointed and the house was comfortable.

Very cute cottage, lovely and clean with comfortable beds. It was perfect for us. Really appreciated being able to bring our dog, but would note for other dog people that the fence only comes halfway to the ground so easily walked under onto neighbors property.

It was such a relaxing spot and very handy to bike trail, train to Waikino and town as well as other sightseeing places. The accommodation had everything we needed.

Cornish pump house at the Marthat Mine
ANZACs remembered outside the Martha Mine.
We thought the mine tour was interesting and informative
Gilmour Park is a lovely place to visit and very close to our accommodation.

Perfect for trail cyclists.

The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, , a welcome sight at the end of the trail and an easy 15 min walk to the main street. A shed to lock up the bikes was a bonus.

Smashing little cottage with all the home comforts in the middle of a wintery weekend! We loved it.Great that it was pet friendly, although not pet fenced for small animals.

Love it here

Lovely historical cottage, cosy and a wonderful part of history. Location is fabulous if doing the Hauraki Rail Trail (outside the door) and/or catching the train to/from Waikino. Took our dog, not fully fenced but still loves it.

Comfortable get-away

We had a lovely time at the cottage. The beds were comfortable and the cottage had a homely feel. We were able to relax and feel at home. Thanks very much

Relaxing Stay

Property was exactly as listed and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Love all the things that the area has to offer such as the Rail Trail, Train, Waihi Beach. Location to town was excellent and we completed many walks around town and the area, enjoyed short car rides to Pareoa, Whangamata, Onemana and Katikati. Thanks.
