Excellent Stay

This is a great place, quiet in a nice rural setting. John was super helpful, check in was easy. A very pleasant stay.

Lovely quiet location

Excellent location, quiet, but not far from city centre. Had everything we needed..... will happily stay again next time we’re in Christchurch

Nut Point Cottage

Lovely area, unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we didn't explore the property fully. Nice quiet surroundings, close to city. Comfortable cottage with everything you need for a short or long stay.

Month stay

We stayed at Nut Point Cottage for 26 nights. Loved the rural setting. Cottage meet our needs perfectly.

Perfect get away place

Nice and comfortable place, close to Chch but far enough away to feel like you are in the country. Well set up.

Nut Point Delights

A lovely retreat loved by all including our dog. Clean woth good water pressure (hot water) and efficient heat pump for the chilly nights.

Good for kids + dog

This was a great place to stay on our recent trip to Christchurch. The cottage is modern and warm on the inside and located in lovely grounds that we would have loved to explore more if the weather was better. It’s not in town but still close enough to enjoy all the Christchurch attractions while visiting.

Lovely little cottage

Lovely little cottage, which was perfect for our short stay, suitable for animals and we loved that we were able to bring our dog with us. House was suitable, however could do with a really good clean, is very sheltered so gets minimal sun which contributes to a dampness feeling and spots of mould that come along with this. Had everything we needed and the general feel of it was lovely. We would stay again.

Perfect Location

The location was spot on for our stay. It was an easy drive into Christchurch or West Melton which had everything we needed. The situation was quiet and private and the property had all the conveniences for our stay of 8 days. A relaxing and pleasant outdoor area was very welcome. Communication with management was prompt and clear. I will definitely be booking this accommodation again.

A slice of paradise

Beautifully presented quaint three-bedroom cottage with stunning gardens only a 15min drive to Christchurch city centre. Friendly and welcoming host that left extra treats that were appreciated by us all during our stay. We enjoyed having cups of tea and coffee in the garden while the children warmed to the beautiful horses next door.

Not as advertised

Communication with the property manager was clear and concise. Easy access. What was extremely disheartening was the building itself. Not a Cottage but a placed prefab building. Green moss covered the majority of the exterior. No garden unless you clarify it as a native garden. Also we booked for a 3 bedroom cottage as we were a group of 3 separate adults. We arrived to find one queen bedroom and a second bedroom with 2 singles. The final bedroom was locked. We booked the property for 3 bedrooms not to share. Otherwise everything was well maintained if not dated. So in conclusion great people but poor property.

Hi Rowan Apologies for having a native garden and native NZ bush. Pity you couldn't be bothered with using the 3 brm or expressed any concerns while visiting while there is a key to the 3 brm on site if needed at any rate all the best and have a lovely 2023 John

Beautiful spot and environs

A lovey cottage, clean and well provisioned on the inside. Beautiful gardens and walkways on the grounds. John was great and easy to deal with. Wonderful stay.

Well appointed and offering a range of activities in the area.

Comfortable, warm and all we needed for the two nights stay. The only comment was perhaps the steps into the main entrance could have a rail to help especially for those with mobility as an issue.
