"The Old Homestead" An Original Homestead Cabin

It is situated on 22 acres, on a quiet country road, away from highways. We have satellite TV, Internet and AT&T cell phone access. There is a convenient, clean propane stove, and a fully equipped kitchen. You can make a cozy fire in the outdoor fire pit. Watch deer, turkeys, elk and moose, and occasionally the neighbor's hound dog right from the front porch.
You will be just minutes away from world class boating, fishing, snowmobiling, or hiking or riding endless mountain trails. Or cross country ski right out the back door. The closest ski lift is 1 1/2 hours away in Sandpoint, Idaho.
If you don't feel like cooking yourself, there are fabulous restaurants and lounges in Trout Creek and nearby towns.

We go here to enjoy quiet and hiking over the 4th of July. Our dog is terrified of fireworks which are relentless where we live. The cabin is comfortable with modern appliances, plenty of hot water and good beds. The views are spectacular. WiFi is good. We will return next July.

Great place to stay!

Peaceful quiet location. Check-in was nice and easy! Close to town and the lake. Can’t wait to stay again for another fishing trip!

We stayed at this property for the first time for our 22nd anniversary. It was incredible! An amazing little retreat that welcomed you…. The owners were great with communication and the little extra touches they included really made it personal. The entire place was very clean, neat and included everything we needed, and more! Would HIGHLY recommend this property and am looking forward to staying here again!!

The Old Homestead is wonderful.

The Old Homestead and the rest of the property was beautiful and quiet. It was perfect for us and our Irish Setter.

Peaceful Montana

My husband and I stayed two nights in this spacious historic cabin. We were surprised at the amenities that were provided. This is a wonderful property to enjoy your stay!

Perfect Montana escape. I couldn’t have painted a better picture in my mind of the cabin I wanted to stay in as my family laid my dad to rest. We’ll equiped, homey and complete with the history of former owners.

Fabulous little getaway!

This is a fantastic super cute little cabin. If you’re looking for a very private little place in a beautiful setting, this is your spot! Host is quick at responding and a super host!! Loved our stay! Will definitely be back!

Trout Creek

Absolutely delightful place in Trout Creek. The hosts are so friendly and the cabin has every thing one needs for a short or long term stay. We will hopefully be back soon.

Most Amazing Place

The cabin was absolutely amazing and clean! The amenities, atmosphere and views were second to none. There was AC, satellite tv, and high speed Wi-Fi. The location of the cabin was centralized around many sightseeing destinations. We cannot wait to come back next year!!

Clean quiet well maintained older place. Hot water worked well Dishwasher worked well Many trees

Comfortable short ride to water facilities. Nice trees surrounded area Appliances all worked great Peaceful relaxing time Nice BBQ and furniture on poach .Bed comfortable . Enjoyed our stay.
