Welcome to SommerHaus!

My home away from home has been fully renovated and modernized down to the last detail. Nestled between the 14th and 15th fairways and overlooking Stewart Lake, this location is absolutely one of the best in Seascape. A swimming pool (including a heated one in the fall/winter), pickleball courts, tennis courts, a golf course, the lake and the beach are all very short and convenient walks on this private resort property.

I modified the original floor plan to make the space more roomy and open. Unlike most golf villas, the kitchen has raised ceilings and is open to the dining and living room areas, creating a great space for family time and entertaining. There are beautiful granite counter tops and all new appliances and cabinets throughout the kitchen. The separate ice machine certainly comes in handy and the double oven makes preparing meals in the kitchen much easier.

I have beds for up to 4 guests. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room.

There are two full baths. The master bathroom was a particularly welcome renovation that our taller guests will appreciate since it includes a 6 ft. tub and shower. The 2nd bathroom is in the main hallway and includes a shower and bath as well.

I have a washer and dryer inside the unit which is not typical for the golf villas. There is a 60" TV in the living room and a smaller flat screen TV in the master bedroom with basic cable and free WiFi for renters.

The spacious deck is another great feature of SommerHaus with a comfortable elevated dining table and chairs overlooking Stewart Lake and cafe lights to make nights on the deck warm and inviting.

The property has been in my family for almost 50 years and the renovations I made reflect everything I had always wished for in the place that I have called my second home. Now, I want to share this fantastic experience with you!

Tim was wonderful

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tim’s condo, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment I booked, Tim was incredibly responsive and provided all the information I needed for a smooth check-in process. The condo itself was immaculate and tastefully decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. The living area was spacious with plenty of natural light, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances and all the essentials, which made preparing meals a breeze. There was one unfortunate incident where someone hit a golf ball through our car windshield while on the property, and not much could be done about it. However, Tim was very accommodating and allowed us to stay until the evening so we weren’t in the sun waiting for our windshield to be replaced. His kindness and understanding during this situation were greatly appreciated.

Great stay! Nice & clean home, great location

We loved staying at this home - it was so nice and clean - close to the beach, pool and pickle ball courts. We will definitely stay here again! The ice machine was also an extra perk!

Beautiful condo!

We had a great time staying here! The condo was in a perfect location. Close to everything. The kitchen had everything and was fully equipped. It has an individual ice maker which was perfect for filling our mini cooler to take to the beach. Everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The shower was huge with 2 shower heads. The owner was extremely helpful and easy to reach for any questions. We will definitely be back next summer!

Great family condo for older kiddos

The area was so fun and condo had everything we needed. Pools, tennis courts, basketball court, and playground were on resort. Beach was within walking distance. Recommend renting golf cart - highlight of our trip! Only con is there's no outdoor area right outside of condo for small kids. Traffic was kind of busy so it was a little stressful keeping an eye on my two year old. Other than that, fantastic visit! Oh and super comfortable king bed!

Home away from home

This property was beautiful and relaxing! We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely stay here again. It felt like home as soon as we walked in. It was quiet, comfortable and the owner was fabulous to work with and easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.

Everything You Need

This condo is beautiful inside! It has any kitchen item you would need. Having an ice maker was so great! The location is close to a pool. We chose to drive to the lot and park to go to the beach. That worked out nicely. Far enough from the bustle of Destin, but not so far that we couldn't go there when we wanted to. Overall, a nice place!

All that you need!!

Great! We LOVE SeaScape, so this property was ideal for us. Tim was GREAT to work with. Over accommodated us, and we were very grateful for that! He also supplied more than most VRBO. Lots of useful items, including beach towels, spices, extra pillows, etc. Like any other VRBO don’t forget to take extra toilet paper and paper towels. That’s typical. And he has a great washer and dryer to use! The only issue we had was we needed more bath towels and the front door had some sticking issues. But…. That’s never gonna put a damper on a BEACH VACAY!!! Go…. It does a heart good!!

Wonderful place!

We had the best time!! This was our first beach trip as a family. We have small kids and older teens. Everyone enjoyed their stay! The place is very clean and extremely nice! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. All utensils, coffee pot, plates, bowls, cups, silverware etc! It is furnished beautifully and felt so warm and inviting! We loved spending mornings going for a walk and drinking coffee on the front porch. It’s located in the perfect spot. It’s in a quiet place but just a short walk from the beach! We will definitely plan to come back! Thank you Tim for all your help in making this a great family vacation!

Relaxing Beach Getaway

We were highly impressed with our Vrbo rental. It was home away from home. The place was so nice that we didn’t always feel like we had to go out. Just staying in, cooking, eating on the patio, enjoying the relaxing view was enough. We will definitely come back!

Perfect Family Vacation

Our family loved our stay at SommerHaus. The condo was absolutely beautiful and provided everything that we needed to make us feel comfortable and at home. Enjoying our morning coffee on the deck while overlooking Stewart Lake was perfect. Tim was always prompt, courteous and available with answers to our questions or anything that we needed. We have stayed at Seascape properties before and it provides everything that we need for a perfect family vacation. We will definitely be making another visit to SommerHaus.

Beautiful condo in a great location!

We had such a great time here. The condo is clean, comfortable and feels like home. The kitchen had everything you will need for cooking. The beds were so comfortable. It was nice sitting on the deck in the rocking chairs. The location is close to food, beaches, shopping etc. Will definitely stay here again!

Great Place, will definitely be back!!

We booked our vacation to Destin kind of last minute this year so I was a little disappointed when I could only find a 2bdr at the Golf Villas where we usually stay. We are a family of 7 so having a 3rd bedroom is nice for us. But this place had plenty of space for all of us! The whole place has been updated and is VERY NICE! The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes/pots/pans/utensils that you could ever need. We also loved the fact that they had beach chairs, umbrellas, wave boards, sand toys, a cooler and more for us to use! We drive over 900 miles and there isn't room for us to bring all that extra stuff! The owner was super great at responding to questions. We had a small issue with the A/C during our visit, he went above and beyond to get it fixed and even bought our dinner one evening for the inconvenience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be staying here again on our next visit!

Great place, near of the beach. Everything that we needed was there. Full kitchen, etc Just one thing wrong, the showers and the refrigerator weren’t clean when we arrived. We had to change the shower curtain in the small bathroom . Except that, we really enjoyed our stay !!😎

Very Relaxing!!

My husband and I recently stayed here and loved it. Tim, the owner, is so nice and quick to respond with any questions. The condo is beautifully decorated and has everything you could possibly need. We were sad to leave and hope to be able to visit another time!

My father bought this place in the early 70's and it has been my second home since I was in Kindergarten. I have 3 children who also love the place and we are all very happy to share the joy that we have found here with you.

I have been to beaches around the world. Hawaii, Northern California, French Riviera, Outer Banks, etc. There simply is no beach that I enjoy more. White sand, clear water and all of the conveniences of home. This resort and this condo, the way we have set it up, provides every thing I have always wanted in a home near the beach. Easy access to everything the Gulf has to offer but the quiet solitude that only a spacious resort can offer. There really is no other property like it in the area.

There are a few touches that separate Sommerhaus from the other properties at Seascape.
The condo was extensively remodeled to make the space more open and functional. Higher ceilings, comfortable "like-home" furniture, a full-size washer and dryer in the unit, and an ice maker are the things that I knew would make a stay at the beach as relaxing as possible.
The deck has a view of the lake and one of the fairways, has comfortable, elevated seating, and has soft cafe-style lighting to make nights on the deck comfortable and fun.
