The location of the yacht is very accessible to many historical sites and to Richmond itself. The beauty of the river made for quiet times early in the morning or relaxing times at sunset.

I love nostalgia and this boat was born in 1974 just like me. It reminds me of my grandmas beach house when I was a kid. Old, rustic, and perfect for me and the dog.

The boat appears a bit more dated than expected from the photos. Missing rear deck lighting fixture made boarding in the dark, and moving about on deck, a bit difficult without supplemental lighting. It’s an older boat but reasonably maintained. A/C units are freestanding floor models, heat is provided by portable electric fireplaces. It has an “old boat smell” if you are scent sensitive, we were unable to stay all night due to that.

After 11 years I am very tired of trying to cater to everyone's taste and whims. The boat is a boat and not a hotel. What I promise is cleanliness, a very comfortable bed, a unique experience and tbe usual expectations you would find in a hotel.

What an amazing and unique experience. We had great weather, which allowed us a lot of time outside on the boat. The bed is very comfortable and the furnishings are super cute. Ron is incredibly generous and communicative, would definitely recommend!

A very novel experience! This yacht had a nice retro feel and was not unsteady in the least in the water! It was cozy for 2 ppl. There was a very strong storm that occurred our first nite which revealed several leaks from the windows in the living room and from the hatch in the bedroom ceiling. Rather like a glamping experience but we survived. The place really needs a thorough cleaning & maintenance updates. The AC was adequate at night for sleeping but due to extreme heat during the day was stuffy. This didn’t affect me as I had plans for outings but just some good info for other guests. Overall, I had a satisfactory stay for 3 nights on Capt Ron’s boat.

After 22 years as apremier host i will never get it. I will get great reviews but then someone will come along and see. To look for something to complain about. This is an Vintage boat! Not a new and shiny yacht. If it was the price would by necessity be much higher. It is also a big boat and ocassionally something might get missed during cleaning but nothing is every left dirty. It is not a "room" either. It is a complete living space both inside and out. Not to be negative, but i sometimes think some people look for something to complain about. But i will just keep doing the best i can and hope the great majority of my guest continue to enjoy yheir stay.

This was a nice get away for my husband, me and our two dogs. The marina is inside a gated community in a nice area of Richmond, about 30min drive downtown with lots to do locally. We would love to stay again next time we are in town, the river is so peaceful and relaxing.

Great weekend getaway

Capt Ron was an excellent host. He made sure to walk us around the boat and answered all of our questions. We saw two amazing sunsets and the morning hours were so peaceful while sipping coffee. Great get away. We highly recommend at stay!!

Private getaway

Highly recommend. Very relaxing with national parks surrounding. Awesome Italian restaurant down the street to enjoy back on the deck. Clean and dog friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Unique stay

My friend and I spent one night on Captain Ron's yacht. It was a cozy, lovely experience. Captain Ron met us at the dock and gave us an introductory tour, pointing out any little quirks we needed to know about for the best possible experience. We enjoyed our stay.

Robert and Mary were a wonderful couple. He caught. A stringer of catfish while bottom fishing and bass with top water poppers. Mary seemed to enjoy the spaciousness of the main salon and the view from the bow deck. This senior couple was neat and clean and i highly reccomend them.

Really neat experience. Beautiful sunset! The owner met us there and showed us on the boat for a tour. Even offered to let us use the “party” deck on their other boat a couple slips away. Super nice couple. The interior had a warm and cozy vibe. Fast internet. I have not one complaint.
