The place was very clean and check in was a breeze. The location is great and walkable distance to a lot of things. We were worried that the hallway would be loud if the place were busy but it was not and there was no noise.

Excellent accommodations. The only draw back is the train that runs close to it and at night.

Great place for a weekend getaway

Very nice converted historic building. The local artwork throughout makes it special. If you do plan to cook, the kitchen is somewhat lacking. The bed very comfortable, but the couch was not. Overall very nice place to stay and Marfa was a great small town

Everything we needed

This little apt in Marfa was perfect for our stay. It’s in a small building of seven units, right in the main area of town, with plenty of parking. The building also has shared spaces - a gathering space downstairs, a screened in porch in the back, and a porch on the second floor where we sat and read books. The apt was small but had everything we needed, the shower had great water pressure, all of the appliances worked well. We have since recommended this apt to friends, and if we go back to Marfa we’d stay here.

Not good enough attention to cleaning

The Marfa hour was perfect location, very comfortable and nicely appointed. My one need was finding a used condom under the bed when we departed and broken fake nail and dust under side table. That part was gross. I would stay there again but will pay close attention to this

Carter: We apologize for the cleaning oversight—we have rigorous cleaning standards and we require our units to be double-checked, but there was clearly an oversight in the case of your rental. We have had a serious conversation with our cleaning staff, and we promise that your experience will not be repeated if you visit us again. We appreciate your positive comments and promise to not to disappoint you in the future.

We loved this place. Pictures and description were accurate. We originally planned to stay 2 nights, but extended it to 4 nights. Our first 2 nights we had the place to ourself. After that, more checked in for the (Agave Festival) weekend. The common area is very comfortable, plenty of seating, reading material, local info, fireplace, puzzle table with plenty of puzzles, small tv and art. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It was nice having a washer and dryer to use as well. There’s only 2 callouts: 1. TVs in our room and common (indoor) area were very small. The NBA finals and WCWS games were happening while we were there, so a larger tv would have been nice. Since many places are closed M-W, we had limited options until Thursday. 2. Train tracks are right next to the hotel. We were told trains come by very limited times. Our experience provided to be different. Most nights there were 3-4 trains coming down the tracks, blowing their whistle, 1:30am, 4:30am, etc. One night, 2 trains came within 25 minutes of each other (~1:30am). When you’re fast asleep, a train whistle can be deafening. Neither was a deterrent. We enjoyed the place. Easy walking to many things, and great stopping point to explore many areas. A few hotel bikes might be a nice perk for guests, to ride around.

Perfect Stay

We loved this small apartment in the heart of Marfa. Perfect for all our needs. The apartment was nicely decorated and very clean! The host left shampoo, body wash, etc. in the bath that was heavenly! Walk to all the great shopping and restaurants right on the main strip, so we were all set. The host even called to get my address to return a small earring I had dropped in the carpet, so nice! I recommend highly!
