Beautiful property! We are a family of 6, we all fit comfortably and happily. The home was clean and spacious with everything you need to cook your meals and enjoy your stay.

We used this cabin as a base to explore the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the Great Dunes National Park. The cabin was clean, bright and spacious for our mixed generation family. There are ample table lamps which I greatly appreciated, both for ambiance and for reading in bed. The neighborhood itself is quiet, the sky at night was brillant and the showers hot. The creek behind the cabin is actually the South Arkansas River and while it is small/narrow, it is loud and you can hear it in the bedrooms. It does a nice job of masking any road traffic, but if you are a light sleeper, you will need ear plugs. Another thing to note is that there is only one shower, upstairs, and it is a bathtub shower without any handrails. If it is wet from a previous user, it feels risky, so move slowly.

Cozy perfect cabin, loved the river out the back door. Enjoyed just hanging out playing games and puzzles. Would definitely make this a stay again with more of our family.

Spacious cabin by beautiful babbling river

What a great mountain cabin located close to many great trails. Pop into Salida or Buena Vista for a great meal.

Pros - beautiful location, friendly neighbors, good sledding area nearby, close to Monarch, very spacious. The only real con was the heat varied quite a bit throughout the cabin. We had to use blankets and wear hats one night at the dinner table while my daughter’s bedroom upstairs was very warm. We would stay here again. The check in process was easy.

August Mountain Vacation

We loved this cabin in the woods. There’s so many places to explore at this location. There’s plenty of room for family and everyone to have their own space. We loved how remote it felt, the cabin had everything we needed.

Loved our time!

We loved our time in the cabin! It was exactly (actually more) than we hoped for. We loved our time at the creek and the seclusion from the busyness of life. We hope to come visit again some day!

Wonderful cabin & well appointed

We were two families of four and this cabin worked well for us. The creek behind the cabin immediately makes you destress upon arrival. A little hard to find at night, so make sure to follow the directions provided. We will absolutely stay here again.

Lovely, well equipped cozy cabin

The cabin was perfect for our needs. The property managers where attentive and helpful. Close to Monarch (4 minutes). Not too far off the main road but must have 4wd in winter as stated in info. Great experience.
