A Welcome Guide will be sent to you 3 days prior to your arrival with Directions, Door code, ect.

The room is a cozy studio attached to the home with its own private coded entrance. It has a King Size bed, Bathroom,
Microwave,Toaster, Coffee maker and refrigerator. It also includes cable TV and WiFi for your convenience. There is no stove or oven

There is a two acre, private tropical garden with two teahouses, one overlooking a Koi Pond for your enjoyment. We are one mile from the Volcano National Park.

The unit is only for adults age 25 and up.
No smoking . $250.00 fee if smoking has occurred
No drugs of any kind. Doing so will result in vacate order and police called .
Do not bring outside guests onto property or into unit without prior permission
The carport is for your use during your stay. Please be aware of backing out from carport.
WE NO LONGER ALLOW TRUCKS, VANS, JEEP WRANGLERS OR ANY OTHER LARGE VEHICLES ON PROPERTY. NO EXCEPTIONS!
We are usually on property if you need anything or have questions.

Such a lovely stay. The location is very close to Volcano National Park. The accommodations are basic but clean and welcoming. We would stay here again.

The unit was very cold. The freestanding heater wasn’t sufficient. Cobwebs in the ceiling corners. Electric heating mattress pad only worked on one side of the bed. Good directions and communication from the host.

Jim is a quick and responsive host. Dropping a pin to us to navigate was quite helpful with spotty internet availability. The studio is a unique and charming space in an unbelievably gorgeous location! The 2 acre rainforest flower gardens have been curated and loved over several decades - what a treasure to share! We will remember this visit forever. Thank you!

Great location tucked away in the jungle, perfect for exploring Hawaii volcanoes national Park. It was safe and secure, and the bed was very comfortable. The electric blankets were a nice touch as it gets quite chilly on the volcano at night. However, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially considering you can stay at the beautiful hotel in the park for not much more. I would have given them 4 stars, however after we left we were charged for a towel that was apparently stained and when I asked for a photo for reference, I did not receive one (I also did not receive a response when I asked, although the owner stated that there was a photograph for reference) and my credit card was charged another 15.

It was a wonderful stay in paradise. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked great. The garden in the back yard was very pleasant. Jim was easy to communicate with. We would stay there again

This was a beautiful experience. The room and amenities were perfect. The garden was magnificent. The word garden does not adequately describe this beautiful, extensive, floral, exotic experience. Being this close to the National Volcano Park was such a bonus.

Host was excellent. It was the room had a strong moldy smell that caused us to check out early. I have stayed in this area before and haven’t had this issue. House wasn’t to clean also.

It was a one night stay and a last minute booking. For the price, probably a bit high. Proximity to the park is awesome and the carport provided is great. Getting here was a little confusing but instructions provided helped. The garden on the property is so nice to walk around in.The room itself was fine. The best part was the heating pad on the bed was awesome. However the comforter and shams could use a refresh with a quick wash. Had a bit of an odor that was off putting. Also could use deep clean to remove dust.

Everything was great! Close to park entrance, yet very secluded! Beautiful garden to walk through at any time, but we did early morning and it was amazing.

We had a very pleasant two-night stay. Great location for Volcano National Park. Room was a nice size and clean with a well-stocked kitchenette. Communication from host was very good for directions and check-in process. Be sure to enjoy the property’s garden. Relax by the coy pond in the covered sitting area.

This is a former garage and separated from the owners home by a pocket door with a large gap that can be seen through. The room only has a space heater for temperature control, which was pretty chilly with all windows open in the pouring rain. It was 59 degrees when we arrived.

The location was beautiful easy to access the instructions. While unique we’re fairly accurate and easy to follow. This property was definitely a place where you can go disconnect and unwind. I would exercise caution in booking your rental vehicle as there are limitations to the size of rental vehicle that will fit in the carport of the property.

Lovely location. Close to modern conveniences but distanced away from the hustle and bustle. The surrounding rain forest made the visit exceptionally tranquil.
Beautiful rain forest with singing birds and flowering trees. The home was cozy and spacious enough.

I am a Fifth generation Island boy, who grew up on Oahu. I spent a number of my childhood summers here in Volcano prior to our family building a second home here in the Village. I now live in the home.I love the big isle and think it has so much to offer. Volcano is the best place for weary travelers to come for a day or two of relaxation.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Our property is very unique and well known in the village due to the garden. My father started planting over 35 years ago and it has turned into a beautiful place with paths, rhododendrons, native Hawaiian plants, two tea houses and a koi pond. It was our second home when I was younger and I spent many summers here in Volcano. Additionally, my Mother spent many Summers here too, as did many of the old Kamaaina families. There is a lot of history is this part of the island. Tall tales, and some not so tall.

Volcano Village lends itself to quiet, nature, friendly people and community. However we value our privacy here too, making a great place to rest for a day or two before heading home, Kona or another island.
