Sleeps up to 6 people (or 7 as a cot/day bed can be made available) offers a total floor space of 110 sq.m. It is situated approximately 2km from Mouilleron En Pareds which has a bakers, chemist,supermarket,banks,restaurants and a bar. The property has been awarded 3 keys by CléVacances for its level of comfort and facilities which includes a large kitchen/dining room, spacious living room with exposed beams, large master bedroom with an en suite shower room, 2 further bedrooms, separate bathroom with washbasin and a separate toilet.Outside there is a private entrance,parking and garden. The swimming pool, sun terrace and sun loungers are for the exclusive use of the gite guests, while a second shaded patio area provides outside dining with table and chairs plus a gas barbecue.There is also a games room with mini snooker, table tennis and darts board. We are affiliated with the local and regional tourist offices,listed with our mayor and are a registered & insured French business.

The property was excellent - exactly as described. The pool was a particular highlight and the games room was an unexpected bonus.Roland and Bexy are super friendly and very accommodating. We had a great stay and are hoping to return again at some point in the future.

Great stay, great hosts

So peaceful, quiet and rural. Lovely unspoilt and non touristy area, just as we like it. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Suggested places to visit and restaruants to try, all were perfectly judged for us. Many thanks.

5 night stay

We had a great time. Myself, wife and 3 boys. (7,10,13)Lovely quiet location, nice gardens in the gite and fantastic pool. Bonus of a games room with table tennis and table football.The gite had everything we needed well stocked kitchen for cookin, 2 bathrooms etc. Property owner was really nice, good to chat to and has plenty of tips on what to do in the area.Highly recommend for families

Tranquil holiday

This is the perfect place to chill out. Sitting in the garden or by the side of the pool enjoying the peace and quiet was so relaxing. The welcome we received from Roland and Bex was great , especially after a long journey.The property was perfect for our dog as well as the garden is nice and secure. Our only gripe was that we couldn't stay longer but we had to go home and back to work !

Absolutely fabulous stay with Roland and Bex hosting. Gorgeous peaceful location, a 25 minute walk or short drive to get baguettes or groceries, what a perfect fortnight. The pool was so refreshing in the heat, and Bex and Roland did everything to make our stay relaxing and comfortable, including booking us a restaurant one night. Wonderful days out to Vouvant and the Donjon tower nearby, as well as the windmill walk. The table under the walnut tree was cool and ideal for meals and games. Just a perfect break. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The gite and its location is excellent for those who enjoy country side, woodland and riverside walks. Picturesque towns and villages within short travelling distance. A wonderful holiday in a peaceful location at a picture-perfect gîte. Missing the daily walk to buy baguettes, our family badmington competition and milky way nights. Thank you to wonderful hosts, Bex and Roland, and the tasty home-grown produce. I hope we return!

Wonderful Gite

We had a wonderful stay at Le Gite Bernerie. It was exactly as described… a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy family time. There is so much space in the garden to enjoy badminton and other garden games, the pool was perfect and the games room was great for when it got too hot in the sun. There is so much space inside the gite too. The setting is so quiet and relaxing… perfect place for a break away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Family holiday

As a family of three generations we spent 6 days in this beautiful holiday home. The barn has been beautifully restored and has so many appliances that you want for nothing. The heated swimming pool was a real added bonus. The accommodation was rural and we really enjoyed the tranquility but equally it is really well placed in east reach of many major attractions. The games room was a real hit. Roland and Bex are ideal hosts. Always responsive both throughout the booking stage and our stay. Thank you Be. And Roland for all your helpfulness and kindness to us while we were there. A much enjoyed holiday everything was beautiful in every way.

Superb property

A lovely gite in peaceful surroundings. Perfect for a relaxing stay. Used the pool every day - Roland made sure it was ready for use, including cleaning and topping up the water level during our stay. Lovely to either sit around the pool or under the shade of the walnut tree when it got a bit too hot for us! Roland and Becks were very welcoming and gave recommendations for the area (do try the O Clem restaurant in the nearby village and the Mouette Brewery restaurant), as well as a welcome pack of provisions when we checked in. They were there when we needed, but not intrusive in any way. The gite was incredibly well stocked and very comfortable. Our teenage boys (19 & 17) enjoyed the games room as well as the pool, and there was plenty of room in the garden to set up a badminton net. It was also useful to have wi-fi for the evenings. We would highly recommend this gite and hope to go back!

Great break

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Gite. Superb pool which our boys loved, the games room is great too. The place is perfectly position for great walks with our dog and loads of cycle rides with the boys - cycle to the water towers, the windmills and further afield all on really safe country lanes with next to no traffic The Gite also has a great garden big enough for a bit of football, badminton and generally just messing about in. The Gite is within a 10 minute cycle to the local baker for bread in the morning and a local mini super market for essentials and the nearest village is lovely for a wander about. There are a couple of slightly bigger towns with super markets, restaurants, etc. Vendee is beautiful and we intend to return to do some more exploring - however the Gite is great for a chill out if you don’t want to do that. The hosts Roland & Becs were super helpful throughout including organising our visit to the vets a couple of days before we travelled back home. I would highly recommend staying at the Gite. N

Peaceful hideaway in a great location

We visited La Bernerie for a week at the end of October and had the most wonderful week. After a long, wet and delayed journey we arrived to a lovely warm gite, Roland met us and explained how everything worked and then we explored. The kids absolutely loved the games room, which was a godsend, they got up early and played and went in there every evening whilst I was preparing dinner, with family competitions after - brilliant fun! Roland kept the pool heated for us too, it was much warmer in the water than outside and the kids loved it. I can imagine in summer it is an amazing place to relax. Whilst in the area we visited the Marais Poitevin, the Mervent Vouvant forest and Puy du Fou - all within an hours' drive maximum. The Grand Parc, Puy du Fou is something else! I know we were lucky because it was end of season and a cold wet day so we didn't have to queue and saw a lot, but the shows were extraordinary and if you are in the area it is a must. The gite is very rural, so peaceful is an understatement, it is pitch black at night so take a torch if you want to go outside. It is a fantastic place to escape from the hustle and bustle, there is everything you need, including good wifi and English satellite TV, a filter coffee machine etc, but it's not full of mod-cons, it's exactly what you should expect from a beautiful rural holiday home.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und können die Gîte uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die Gastgeber Roland und Bexy Die beiden sind unglaublich sympathisch, herzlich und hilfsbereit und haben mit ihrer offenen und unkomplizierten Art dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns von Anfang an rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Man merkt sofort, dass ihnen das Wohl ihrer Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt. Die Gîte selbst ist ein wunderbarer Ort zum Abschalten und Entspannen. Besonders die absolute Ruhe und die wunderschöne, idyllische Umgebung haben wir sehr genossen. Wer dem Alltag entfliehen und einfach einmal richtig zur Ruhe kommen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Auch unser Hund hat sich rundum wohl gefühlt und konnte es morgens kaum erwarten, dass endlich die Tür zum Garten aufging. Der kleine Ortskern ist in 3-4 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar und hat einen hervorragenden Bäcker und einen kleinen Supermarkt. Zum nächstgelegenen größeren Supermarkt fährt man ca. 15 Minuten. Im Ort selber gibt es leider kein Restaurant zum Abendessen, aber in den umliegenden Dörfern gibt es gute Optionen (10-15 Fahrminuten entfernt). Es bietet sich aber sehr an in der Gîte selber zu kochen. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es gibt einen großen und modernen Gas-Grill für den Außenbereich. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an Roland und Bexy für die schöne Zeit und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft!

Le gîte est situé en pleine campagne, c'est calme et très reposant, la piscine très bien entretenue est un plus très agréable en période de canicule. Le propriétaire est réactif et chaleureux avec une procédure d'accueil et de départ simplifiée en toute confiance.Le terrain est arboré et fleuri et les repas sous le noyer sont de très bons moments conviviaux. Un seul bémol : la literie moyennement confortable à mon goût.La chienne a vite pris ses marques et a bien profité de son séjour en Vendée dans un terrain clos avec l'ombre généreuse du noyer.

Un accueil très chaleureux avec des petites attentions fort sympathiques qui nous attendaient. Un lieu au calme avec un environnement rythmé par le chant des oiseaux. Une piscine de bonne taille qui a ravi notre fils. Un gîte de grande taille, adapté à 6 personnes avec un niveau d'équipement fort appréciable tout comme une très bonne literie. Une salle de jeux très fournie qui permet de passer de bons moments en famille. Les chiens sont acceptés comme mentionné dans l'annonce. Un lieu qui permet également un accès facile et rapide (30 minutes) au Puy du Fou avec des commerces et restaurants à quelques minutes de voiture. Nous recommandons vivement.

Wat een schitterend adresje voor een mooie vakantie te hebben. Je voelt je helemaal welkom en door zo praktische spullen die er aanwezig zijn hoef je ook niks tekort te komen. De gastheer en vrouw doen dat voortreffelijk. Een topadres die ik met plezier doorgeef.
