Lovely house with amazing views. Close to the beach and good location for most places. Julie, the host was excellent, we emailed her regarding a coup,e of issues and she replied immediately. Excellent communication

Perfect house for our family of 5. Plenty of space downstairs, good layout. Pub opposite was really friendly for a drink or food. Local beaches all stunning and easy to access. Bedrooms on 2nd floor/kids bedrooms are quite small with no storage or dressing table area, so everything ends up on the floor. These rooms would not be suitable for adults. Some appliances could do with updatng/tired, I.e. TV is not Internet TV, ironing board needs replacing.

Great stay for 2 Grand parents, 2 parents and 2 children. Plenty of room for the 6 of us with dining options inside or outside on the patio.Beach is walkable but there are various nice beach’s a short drive away. Our favourite being Portreath beach.Children’s play park 5 minute walk away.Decent options for take away with even the local chippy providing home delivery if you are feeling lazy.

We had a fab Easter weekend in Cornwall. Lovely house and perfect for our group of friends to take in some Spring sunshine! Particularly loved how well stocked the kitchen was to prep an Easter roast in the garden! Thank you x

Lovely location very close to the beach and a brilliant house all set up with everything you need. Woodburner great in the winter.

Lovely spacious property!

Lovely stay at a convenient location, we easily parked three cars on the driveway. The house has a wonderful garden and far reaching views. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great half-term stay

Lovely house which accommodated us and our three teenage children really well. Very conveniently located for the beach and walks in the dunes. The pub opposite was also charming and cosy. We would definitely recommend it and hope to visit again.

The house is extremely well equipped. Very well supplied in the kitchen and utility, and has attractive modern bathrooms. It is very comfortable and there is a keen eye to useful extras with board games and local maps supplied. I would thoroughly recommend this house to anyone planning to stay near Hayle.

Easter stay

Loved the house, very comfortable week. Great location. Good contact with owner who was quick in responding to queries. Enjoyed some beautiful walks from the doorstep. Definitely on the one to return to list.

Great spot and great house

The house was everything it stated. We were very comfortable, house very well equipped . Loved the pub across the road !!!. The garden is lovely too of the house. We will come again.

Stay was great good living space clean and tidy all equipment you need to cook garden is beautiful with different flowers and trees but still spacious garden nice big table in garden to eat at nice pub opposite house and bus stop 15 min walk to home bargains

Perfect!

We had the most fabulous stay at Julie’s place. The garden is stunning and perfect for the kids, very spacious house with everything we could have possibly needed. Fabulously located for the beach ( a beautiful beach)/ shops.. bucket of blood pub over the road does great food.. park in walking distance and an outdoor swimming pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay Julie we would love to stay again!

Short Break

Great location very handy for local pub! And some good walks & 10 mins walk to the beach The gardens were lovely & the house was cosy & comfortable ! Has a real homely feel. Parking for two cars! Possibly 3 if they where small. All you would need is in the house

The most beautiful house and gardens, in fantastic surroundings, great walks to beach, lovely local pub, right across the road in fact. Communication with host was very good and quick, we’ve stayed in Cornwall a lot and this was the best ever, would have moved in if we could absolutely stunning and everything you could need, will go back at the drop of a hat so homely 😘

Great location

Nice house, plenty of room, well equipped, very nice large garden, close to shopping, easy access to A30 for exploration of the area, short walk to a gorgeous beach, even shorter walk to a very fine pub! The only thing that could use a bit of improvement is the mattresses. They are a bit thin and lumpy for senior folks, kids might not notice.

Very enjoyable stay

We had a great stay at this house over the past week, we didnt want to go home. The house is lovely, very light and spacious and well equipped with all the necessary bits that you can find at home, great garden, well situated for exploring west cornwall, and very close to absolutely stunning Hayle Towans beach. Unfortunately the weather was against us this past week and wasnt great but couldnt fault the house. We would like to return next year but sadly its already booked for the dates we can do.

A week of sunshine in Phillack

The property was spacious, light and airy and very homely. The garden and outdoor space were excellent. The location was perfect for access to nearby beaches and tourist attractions either on foot or by car. My one criticism would be the poor decorative condition of the kitchen cupboards -[ paint peeling off the cupboards] The property provided all we needed for a home from home for a sunny week in Cornwall.

Dear Kathy, Thank you for your honest and helpful review; we are in the process of renovating the house to make it as comfortable as possible for guests but are aware that the kitchen cupboard doors should be next on the list; we aim to replace them this summer. We hope they didn't distract too much from your enjoyment of Cornwall.

Lovely house in a great location

Beautiful house in a great location. Everything you needed and more was provided. Only criticism really, attic bedrooms, 1 was tiny, my 14 year old son didn't mind, but there wasn't really anywhere to put his clothes other than a draw under his bed. The 2nd attic room again was small with nowhere really to put clothes, they lived out their suitcases. Wasn't the end of the world and certainly didn't spoil our stay. I would definitely recommend and i would definitely want to stay again.

Lots of space, great garden

House as described, lots of space for family of four (boys aged 14 and 11). Unfortunately weather wasn’t kind so we didn’t get to use the wonderful garden. Great location to explore the area with the wonderful 3 mile beach only 15 min walk away. Bucket of Blood is on the doorstep, lovely old pub with good food. Would recommend and look to return. Thanks for a great stay
