A luxury home located on the edge of town across the street from the beach, the Blue Heron is perfect for family or friends traveling together. The large gourmet kitchen, elegantly furnished living room with unobstructed views, and cozy sun room/library provide plenty of room for everyone.

The master suite has a queen bed and private bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom, with a queen bed, and the third bedroom, with two twins or a king bed, share a full bathroom and a powder room. Rollaway bed available if needed.

A large yard offers room for the kids to play, while the spacious deck is perfect for you to unwind and enjoy the view. Watch seals, sea lions, and the occasional whale playing in the water as the fishing boats and cruise ships go by.

The artist/owner and her dog live on the property in her separate art studio/cabin.

Lovely location and roomy house

Our large family group stayed in Blue Heron for a week as we gathered for a wedding. It suited our needs really well, as there were three bedrooms and baths, a roomy living room with comfortable seating, a large dining table that seats eight, and a kitchen that allowed us to cook meals for our group. The views of the water and mountains from the house are wonderful. It's a short walk from town, so very conveniently located. Should we have a family reunion at some point, we would love to stay here again.

Amazing views and spacious home

We were two families travelling together and this was a great place for us to stay all together. Loved the view. The yard and toys were perfect for the kids. We forgot about the time change and arrived early and our host was very gracious and allowed us to check in early. Overall a great place to stay in such a beautiful location.

Fantastic house and property surrounded by spectacular waterfront scenery and moutains

Plush modern spacious comfortable home on a beautiful waterfront property with spectacular views of open waterways, mountain ranges, the harbor and town of Haines. This is the perfect location and I greatly enjoyed staying in this wonderful home. This is the Alaskan experience you really want. Watching the sunset into the mountains, building a fire in the pit, and star gazing late into the night. Morning coffee in the sunroom and walk to town. A hike or some fishing or golf. Blue Heron and Haines is the best!!

Amazing view! Excellent location! Cozy Alaskan comfort!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August. Everything we needed for a family of six was here. Laundry and wi-fi worked great. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor games and most of all the firepit. The water views are fabulous and the fact that the house is between two roads does not detract from that. There is enough vegetation in the back to keep the road from view. The location is excellent , you can walk to downtown and it is still a short drive to the ferry terminal and Chilkoot Lake area (where we saw lots of bears!) One down side is that there are no screens on the back doors. Flys were an extreme nuisance and it would have been nice to be able to keep them out while enjoying the beautiful Alaskan weather. Also, the hot water kept running out when we showered, so we had to space out the showers because of this. Overall, I would recommend staying at this great location to enjoy the beautiful views that Blue Heron has to offer.

Blue Heron Perfection

My family very much enjoyed the Blue Heron House. It was spacious with lots of natural light and plenty of play spaces including yard for the kids. This will be a top pick for our next visit to Haines. It's conveniently located yet private. The property manager was very easy to deal with and had great communication. Highly recommended!

Blue Heron Haines Home Is Beautiful

Our entire family loved our stay. We really can't say enough wonderful things about the home, the yard, the view and Haines, itself. When booking online, the description of the property is exactly accurate - we were not disappointed in any way. In fact, it exceeded our expectations. Thank you for enhancing our family vacation. We will rent again sometime in the future when our family has a chance to be together.

Best house in Haines!

We loved our stay at the Blue Heron and found everything very accommodating. The house was very clean, free of clutter and very comfortable. Great location, close to the center of Haines and a beautiful view of the water. The owner was extremely nice and flexible with our schedule and I'll be sure to stay again when returning to Haines!

Absolutely stunning property!

Quite possibly the most majestic vistas I have seen! Bald eagles flying back and forth, incredible views of the water and mountains. Walking distance to town and short drives to many incredible hikes and nature viewing areas. House was lovely and clean and well maintained. The fire pit is an amazing place to unwind after a long day and the amenities (volley ball, corn hole, etc) were a lot of fun. Highly highly recommended! A+!
