This architect designed home is perfect for a couple looking for private comfort. Located on a quiet street 11 miles from Homer, it's five minutes from the amenities of Fritz Creek (groceries, gas, liquor store, post office, bakery, take out deli)
The spacious upstairs boasts unobstructed views of Kachemak Bay, glaciers and mountains. The home has a fully stocked kitchen, a cozy bedroom with a queen bed and blackout blinds, and a warm and stylish living area.
Available year round, the house is located near cross country skiing and snowmachine trailheads.

Homer Gem

Our 3rd stay here-I'm happy to report that this visit was just as great as the first 2. Located on a quiet deadend road with stunning views of the glacier and mountains across beautiful Kachemak Bay from the oversized living room windows or out on the deck, cozy, comfortable, clean, and completely furnished kitchen, bedroom, and bath, even towels to clean your pup after a long beach walk, this place is simply a gem. Diana is quick to respond, but respects your privacy. We come down to Homer from Fairbanks often, and have stayed at other vacation rentals around town. This is hands-down our favorite spot.

Peaceful

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful weekend and it was exactly what we got! Clean, neat, and it has everything you need! Also a great place for dogs, very dog friendly location. Our dog was so happy!

Great View and Nice Place

Great rental and rental experience. This house was comfortable for my husband and I. Beautiful views from the living and dining area. Well stocked with what you need to cook, relax and shower.

A peaceful retreat

Everything is better than as pictured, well appointed and comfortable. Town is conveniently close, but if solitude is what you crave, hunker down with provisions and take in the view! If we are ever fortunate enough to return to the Homer area, we'd definitely book Diana's spot again. This place is the best!

The place is exactly as you see in the pictures and more. A very comfortable, and peaceful place. You definitely do not need any television the views are mesmerizing. We are so happy we had the opportunity to visit Alaska and stay here.

This is a very special property, form fitted for two people. With efficient kitchen and spectacular view of Kachemak Bay and mountains and glaciers beyond, this is as good as it gets. This comfortable property is in a great quiet rural setting and perfect for two people who just want to get away from it all.

This property has the most beautiful view of the state park across the bay. A nice large covered porch allows sitting out and enjoying the view in all weather. There is also a nice fire pit and complete privacy. Inside, it is clean and the kitchen has all the appliances needed. The living space is so comfortable with huge windows facing the bay and mountain. Loved my stay!!

Soooo comfortable!

We stayed for a week and highly recommend this property. The view was incredible and the property is clean and well equipped. The host made herself readily available for any concerns (although we had none). We are happy to have found this gem and will be back!!

Exceeded all my expectations

We had a great experience from start to finish. Check in was easy. The pictures do not do the home justice. Incredible views with a really groovy kitchen. We cooked in it both nights and there were tons of spices and utensils. We really enjoyed hanging out at the house and looking out at the bay with the binoculars and listening to the rain as we slept in the comfortable bed. The shower was modern and the towels were exceptionally thick. It was a great house with tons of character and every amenity we could want.

Stunning views

The property is incredible. The views are outstanding, the location is private but easily accessible. The house is beautiful and the owner is very communicative. Kitchen is well stocked, WiFi is fast, the views are amazing!

Beautiful property

I stayed here with my dog and we had a wonderful time. The property was clean and beautiful, the owner had a welcoming space for dogs, and the whole experience was so peaceful. I can't say enough about this property. Thank you!

Great stay

This was a great house for a quick stop on our honeymoon. The view was spectacular and we loved the little deck and chairs to take in that view. Definitely recommend if someone needs a smaller place to stay while taking in the beauty of Homer!!

Spectacular on the deck

Absolutely one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Homer is worth a visit but we spent most of our time at this house. Amazing artistic interior and exterior design, complete amenities of the highest quality that even most personal homes don’t have, and vista that can’t be described. We sat in the Adirondack chairs for hours looking at the mountains and glaciers but bemoaning the fact that we hadn’t seen moose on our trip then as we drove back, next door yard mother e and twins letting us get all the pics we wanted. Unbelievable. This house is reason enough to drive all the way to homer.

Amazing Stay in Fritz Creek/Homer

I can not say enough good things about this place. 1st, the pictures DO NOT do the view justice. The view out of all windows and the deck were AMAZING! The house was set up perfect for us. It was a great place to unplug (or not, internet was perfect). It had everything we needed for cooking, and hanging out. We did a few activities and dining in town, but we’re thankful we were a little bit off the beaten path. Close enough to town but far enough for it not to be busy. The bathroom was perfect. The mattress was a bit soft for our personal preference but the bedroom had plenty of drawer space, etc. The deck was SPECTACULAR! We had a moose come say hello and saw tons of eagles. Thank you Diana for sharing this amazing house with us!

Exceeded All Expectations

Our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. That Home away from Home feeling. Far enough out of town for that true Alaska experience. So relaxing and could never get enough of that view. Owner was a pleasure. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise!

I've been a resident of Homer since I drove up in my "72 VW camper in the spring of '92. I spend my free time skiing, hiking, camping , playing ice hockey and hanging out with my dog and my clever, handsome and charming boyfriend (he helped me write this)
The house was designed by a friend from High School who became an architect. I liked the house so much I gave him a kidney for it.

Even friends who own local view property comment on how great the view is from this property. It's away from the relative bustle of Homer and with the Fritz Creek General Store and it's post office, liquor store, gas, grocery and deli just down the road, a person hardly needs to go to town at all.

I'm pretty sure this is the only area property that is a one bedroom private house, with a beautiful bay view and if you like, you can bring along your dog.
