A lovely unique house in a quiet location. Well equipped kitchen with balcony overlooking the garden. However you’d probably need a car for this house - although it is on a bus route. Perfect base for families to explore the island

Thank you for leaving the house so immaculately again - you are always welcome! You’re right about a car being best to appreciate the full benefits of staying here for families, but as you say the bus stop is at the end of the driveway and connects you to everywhere at a leisurely island pace and given the beautiful walks and cycle rides in our immediate vicinity we have welcomed small groups of friends that have come without a car too!

We had a great time at this wonderful property. Our kids loved the swing in the garden and the double bunk bed room, I loved watching the red squirrels jumping amongst the trees whilst sitting upstairs. It had everything you could need in the kitchen, and the host replied quickly to the message I sent her on our first day. Have already recommended to friends!

This was our 2nd visit to this property as it’s a beautiful place to stay and great for kids with the big garden. It was a great place to stay and chill after a day of fun activities on the Island.

The property itself was very spacious and clean and very well equipped for a holiday home and we all had a lovely time. We were disappointed with theBBQ, inside the oven, the trampoline and playhouse as all needed cleaning. It didnt spoil our holiday as there was plenty of outside space and the swing for the children to play. This is just suggested feedback for future customers.

It was a pleasure hosting you and I’m thrilled the beloved swing was a hit! Thank you for your feedback and duly noted. We do ask that guests clean the BBQ after use and our younger guests keep a tidy house in the play den! I will review our house instructions to make sure this is clear but apologise for not checking on this occasion. I am so glad it didn’t detract from the magic of the place and you had a wonderful stay. Do come and visit us again.

Cosy place for family trip

Visited for a long weekend with family and had a great time. The kids loved the garden and the location was convenient yet secluded. The host was very helpful and provided clear instructions for everything. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

Great house and great location

Beautiful place to stay with great living area terrace and a huge garden. Walking distance from Freshwater, Needles, Alum Bay and Totland Bay. Great place to stay and thank you Lucy for the great communication.

Lovely Christmas stay

Lovely, comfortable property. Beautifully located for walks and the coast. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch.

Beautiful location relaxing accomodation

Great house for our inter-generational family lots of options for sleeping arrangements. A beautiful quiet garden sheltered by alarge variety of trees. Short 10 minute walk to beach, pub and local shops.

Lovely family home

We had a very enjoyable holiday. The house had everything that we needed, was very comfortable and suited all ages.It is a short walk to the beach, when we could persuade the children to leave the garden, perfect for games of hide and seek.

Lovely break in Totland

Lovely house - very open and easy to live in with plenty of character and light. Lucy was a great host - she looked after us very well. Would definitely recommend for a visit to the IoW

We loved our time at Lucy's beautiful house near Totland Bay and hope to return next year. The property is perfect for families, enormously practical, with everything you need, and easy to use, whilst also having a truly unique and lovely setting for adults to enjoy. Holiday

We had a fabulous time in the the topsy turvy house. The location is great, about 8 mins walk to the beach. The garden is fabulous and upstairs there is plenty of room with the upstairs conservatory where we spent most nights. It must have been good….we have booked again from or next year.

Spacious house with great vibe and the most beautiful garden

Five adults (family members) and two dogs stayed at this charming house in August and it was soooo lovely. The upstairs (loinge/kitchen/conservatory) is particularly appealing because it's flooded with light and spacious enough to be able to spread out in different areas. Needless to say, we loved spotting red squirrels in all those wonderful trees, including a fruiting walnut tree. The dogs enjoyed sniffing for rabbits and chasing a ball. So peaceful and the air felt clean and fresh. Great location too, it suited our purposes perfectly and one of our party walked 20 miles on the coast path one day, catching the bus back. Just a mention for anyone bringing dogs, the garden isn't dog-proof so you'll need to supervise your best friend. Ours were fine, but we didn't leave them alone outdoors. Thank you, we loved our short break!

Amazing house and garden!

We were thrilled with our recent stay at the Topsy Turvy house. Plenty of space for our group of 5 adults and 3 children. Rooms were nicely decorated with a relaxed and homely feel. The outdoor space was fantastic with den, ball swing and trampoline and a backdrop of beautiful shrubs and trees. We also made use of the balcony, perfect for a morning coffee or evening meal. The house was well appointed with everything we needed at hand. We liked the open plan living space with the dining, kitchen and lounge areas all interlinked. A really unique house! Location is secluded and quiet but do note that access to nearby Totland Bay by foot was rather steep and too difficult for older and younger members of our group though we could easily access the bay by car, just a 2 minute drive. We enjoyed visits to Osborne House, Carisbrooke castle, Godshill model village, Ryde and The Needles and also made trips to nearby Freshwater Bay, Colwell Bay and Compton Bay. Great communication from owner throughout, would highly recommend!

Red Squirrel Hotspot!

We enjoyed a last minute mini break after the weather ruined our camping plans! The house is very large with space for everyone to be together and apart all at the same time! Close access to beaches and the needles, shame about the weather though! We barely saw the children as the toddler created her faux meals in the kitchen in the play house, whilst the tweens swung around like King Louis from breakfast til dark on the swing! I enjoyed the natural silence in the garden and spent hours slowly walking with a glass of wine, seeing all of the wildlife the Isle has to offer! Mr Fox was trotting about, beautiful robins and so many birds including a woodpecker! I saw a hare in the neighbour’s garden, and my highlight were the family of red squirrels who danced around the Cobb nut trees! They were so beautiful and came very close! A nature lovers dream! We would happily stay again, in fact the children cried when we left, lol!

Lovely week with family and friends!

We had a fantastic week in Lucy’s house - the property is exactly as advertised if not better - well equipped and lots of space inside and out for adults and kids to entertain themselves and get into the holiday vibe. We loved the local Totland beach and especially walks over Headon Warren towards the Needles. Lucy has been so helpful and responsive and we felt very welcome in a beautiful part of the island. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful upstairs, location and garden. Note 1.5 bathrooms

We had a delightful holiday, a 5 minute walk to beach, basking in sun upstairs and playing in garden. There us one family bathroom and a very small ensure that is difficult for an adult to shower. We would definitely holiday here again.
