We had a lovely stay with Jill and Richard and not forgetting Tilly the dog who our cockapoo loved. The gite has everything you need and Jill's help with local knowledge, booking restaurants and booking our vet appointment for our return to the UK was invaluable. Great hosts and a great location. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Great location, Jill and Richard were very welcoming helpful and informative about the area, facilities and events. Neffies is close to Pezenaz which is a great town with plenty of shops and restaurants. It has a very good Saturday market which we went to several times. JIll’s guide book is really useful

Summer 2024

We had a lovely stay at Jill and Richard's gite this summer, with our two boys. They were so welcoming and the gite is very well stocked with everything you need. It is a beautiful area, a perfect location, close to the coast and many other wonderful things to see. Lovely local restaurants and a boulangerie for breakfast!

Excellent home for a peaceful retreat

Jill and Richard were excellent hosts, greeting us with a kitchen stocked with goodies (wines, bread, milk, fresh juice, fruit & vegetable). The house was impeccably clean, which was highly reassuring given the current times. Jill and Richard were discreet, respectful and always available should we need anything. The pool was lovely and the outdoor area ideal for summer lunches and dinners (+ perk to have the BBQ). We would highly recommend this stay, as it is not only deeply relaxing, but also central to loads of wineries and outdoor sights. Will definitely come back!

A great holiday!

What’s not to like!? Jill and Richard are the warmest and most welcoming hosts. We immediately felt at home in the clean, cosy and comfortable gîte. The bedlinen feels so luxurious and soft! Excellent pool that is well taken care of. And we will never forget little Tilly, the sweetest dog of the whole Hérault. The region has so many possibilities. We visited Mèze, and took a navette across the Etang the Thau, to Sète. We visited Pézenas, a good place for cosy shopping. The kids really liked the little beach at the Pont de diable, and the beautiful village St.-Guilhem le Désert. Neffiès itself has two good restaurants and a cosy wine bar, all in walking distance. We plan to go back! Thank you, Jill and Richard, and Tilly❤️ Een aanrader!!!

Absolute highest recommendations!

We are a family consisting of 2 adults and 3 children aged 11-12-13 years. We had the most amazing summer holiday in this beautiful holiday home in Neffies. Super cosy little town and a really nice WELL-equipped house with a lovely pool and really great terrace/courtyard with both sun loungers and dining area. Ideal interior design of the house with many cosy details, and especially a nice kitchen with everything you need. Very clean and well-maintained house, with nice beds, bathrooms, barbecue, tv, pool toys, parking right at the door - and everything you could wish for. In addition, we, and especially our children, enjoyed the company of the host couple's cute little dog, who is incredibly child-friendly and calm. And no need to worry if you don't like dogs, because we were asked every time if it was ok for the dog to come and say hello to us. We have never met such SWEET, pleasant and attentive hosts as Jill and Richard. We were welcomed SO well from the moment we booked the house. Bread, fruit, juice, butter, cheese and wine were waiting for us when we arrived after a long drive. Really thoughtful. And Jill was very helpful in assisting with e.g. booking restaurant visits and wine tasting, as well as ideas for experiences and excursions in the local area. We can only give our absolute best and warmest recommendations for this wonderful holiday home and incredible sweet host couple in Neffies. We would definitely book again!

HelloContexte : Nous sommes une famille de 3 enfants (1 bébé) et 2 chiens.Logement fonctionnel et très propre, localisation idéale entre les rivières, les domaines et les lacs, sans parler de la proximité avec Pézenas qui est une ville exceptionnelle. Un séjour merveilleux, rendu très agréable par nos hôtes. A l'écoute de nos besoins et très discrets malgré la configuration du logement. Le logement est spacieux, propre et très bien agencé en équipements. Nous avons été accueilli avec 2 bouteilles de vin et de la nourriture.Merci encore pour leur gentillesse.

Check in war vorbildlich. Hier ist wirklich alles, was man benötigt. Der Gasherd ist der absolute Hammer. Wer gerne kocht, ser ist hier richtig!

Jill et Richard sont des hôtes très avenants, aucunement intrusifs, toujours à disposition. La maison et la piscine sont très bien agencées. À nôtre arrivée du pain frais sur la table,une bouteille de vin,des fruits, du fromage...et bien sûr le sourire de jill et Richard. Merciiii

Our stay was for 35 days and we loved every minute of it.

Beautiful house, beautiful setting and wonderful setting. Our hosts were attentive, kind and thoughtful, we enjoyed meeting them very much!

Uitstekende, zeer compleet uitgeruste gite. Bijzonder vriendelijke hosts. Wijze van verwarming (elektrische radiatoren + petroleumkachel) niet optimaal.

A wonderfull stay

We spent two full weeks in the property de Jill and Richard in Neffies and we had a wonderfull time. Thanks to Jill and Richard. The property is completely equiped with everything you can think off. The beds are very confortable and all the linen supplied is of extremely good quality. The bread, wine and cheese as present on arrival are a very nice touch. Thank you again and hope to come back soon

location très agréable

Excellent séjour dans une location très agréable, parfaitement équipée et propre (tout y est et même plus), fraiche à souhait malgré les 35° dehors ! Quant à l'extérieur, il est très agréable de s'y reposer après une journée à visiter la région. Le village est charmant, pourvu d'une boulangerie, épicerie bio et d'excellents restaurants. Merci à Jill et Richard pour leur discrétion et leurs conseils.

Merveilleuse semaine de vacances à Neffiès

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine en août à Neffiès, village calme et charmant à proximité de nombreux points d’interêt qui méritent le détour (Ponts du Diable, Cirque de Mourèze, Lac du Salagou). Jill et Richard sont charmants et attentionnés, ils ne manqueront pas de vous conseiller sur les activités à faire dans la région. La maison est très agréable et la cuisine parfaitement équipée. N’hésitez pas à réserver chez Jill et Richard !

Well equipped property, very clean, lots of little extras have been thought about. Kitchen well equipped for those that like cooking. Great hosts who are available for any questions. Thanks to Jill for booking local restaurant, where we had a lovely meal! Pretty village too!

Excellent week Away

A very nice Gite, which was a home from home with everything you needed available. It was a lot larger than we expected, so lots of space for everyone. We had a nice relaxing week with family, a couple of days out and plenty of time around the small pool which is a bonus to cool down from the heat of the day. The Gite was even cool during the day which helped make it comfortable. Lovely hosts Jill & Richard who where discreet but on hand to help with any advice, questions or table bookings. A big recommendation from me and the family.

well appointed, lovely gite with heated pool

We stayed for a week with two young children and had a lovely time. Gill & Richard are considerate and discrete hosts and very good a accomodating our specific needs and making suitable recommendations for activities and restaurants. Neffies is a very pretty village in a beautiful location ideal for site-seeing and wine-tasting. Lovely beaches are within easy reach and the short drive to Montpelier airport made for easy transfers. The gite is in excellent condition with a kitchen kitted out by someone who likes to cook, along with basics like oil, seasoning and tin foil etc, it makes life very easy. The court yard garden is a lovely spot to sunbathe or enjoy a meal with a glass of wine whilst watching the swifts overhead.

This Gite has everything you need.

Our group of four adults stayed in this Gite for four nights on the start of our way through France and into Italy for a family wedding. What a great start to our holiday. It is such a relaxing and peaceful place, with a great pool and courtyard. The Gite is spacious and well equipped with everything you might need. Jill and Richard are the perfect owners who helped us with many things including directions to places, interpreting, and directing us to the best wine shops! Thank Jill and Richard, we will return soon. Pat, Tony, Pat and Mick.

Amazing Villa

We have just had a fantastic fortnight in this villa. It is well equipped with everything you could need and more! The very generous welcome pack (including wine, fruit and essentials such as coffee, milk, bread etc) was most appreciated. Jill and Richard were fantastic hosts and their recommendations of places to eat, sights to see, and local events were all 'spot on' and enabled us to make the most of our visit. The village of Neffies is beautiful with two good restaurants, a bakery and a small supermarket. We made full use of the lovely pool and barbecue and found the outside area perfect for both the sun lovers in our party and those of us who prefer a shady spot to read a book or chill out with a beer or wine. We were all sorry to leave after our fortnight and will be recommending th villa to family and friends.
