Wonderful condo with great access to the beach. Susan is the absolute best host! Condo very clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for all types of activities with wonderful restaurants nearby! View of sunrise is stunning! And sounds of the ocean can put you to sleep.

Property was in pristine condition and kitchen facilities left nothing wanting. Pool was unavailable which seemed to be a drawback initially, but weather was not conducive to swimming . Great granddaughter who was there for only Saturday and Sunday did manage to get into the ocean once. Personally I was knitting and reading while watching the ocean breakers. Very calming. Superb family reunion.

The owner was wonderful. She was personable, kind and accommodating. I would choose to rent from her any time. The condo is beautiful and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we knew the best restaurants, activities and local offerings of Ormond Beach. Exceptional hardly describes our experience. Beachside Bliss! You can hear the ocean and you'll never want to leave. So peaceful! We will be back

Listen, the reviews are all legit. The location is wonderful. Parking and access are easy. The building and neighbors are nice, quiet, friendly and private. Access to the pool and beach are simple. You have acess to great laundry machines, beach chairs, boogie boards, pool noodles, beach toys etc. The owner is FANTASTIC, goes above and beyond to be helpful, and has plenty of helpful information in the unit. Also has it stocked with whatever you need to feel at home while there. She has done a wonderful job decorating this beautiful space and making it feel like a vacation oasis yet also fun, clean, not overly beachy and just beautiful. Great materials used all throughout from the stunning kitchen to the relaxing baths. The kids LOVED the octopus room with all the little sea creature pillows. The unit is spacious. There is a little dressing area/large closet in the master. She has some games and things to do there as well. Both showers have great shower heads and pressure. She has extra towels and beach towels and other basic things should you need them and they are the best quality. And let me tell you whatever the smell is, when you first walk in the door is heavenly. Its not over powering. Idk where it came from either but everytime we walked in, it was a nice, Ahhh, yes, we are back smell that I'll always remember. We walked in after 2 days of traveling with young kids and the smell, the sight of the ocean, and the background relaxing music they even had on the tv.. 😍

Best Vacay Ever!!!

We’ve now stayed in both of Susan’s units at the Van Lee! We absolutely loved this one. First, Susan is an amazing, detail oriented host who leaves no questions unanswered. Next, everything from check-in, obtaining access, food recommendations, WiFi info, and anything else you could possibly think of was taken care of without a hitch. Susan thinks of everything! The condo is gorgeous, very modern, and just perfect! You could literally hear the ocean waves in the quiet of the master bedroom as you were lulled off to sleep each night. Check-out instructions were super simple and explicitly explained leaving no room for confusion. I just hope that it’s available for us next summer because any other place will always come in second place compared our stay with Susan and Dave! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

The best beach house ever

It was so nice to stay in this beach house! Great view, high-end furniture, kids’ room decoration that captured my son’s heart, Susan’s kind explanation on attractions and restaurants made my trip so pleasant and memorable! When we visit the Ormond beach area again, the first thing I will do is to book this place again! Thank you so much Susan for your considerate care for guests as a host!!! You made my trip the best!

ONE OF A KIND

We have experienced our fair share of rental properties and we typically book based on reviews, recommendations, or repeat stays. The stellar reviews of this condo obviously won us over but we weren't prepared for how much the owner has thought of her guests with every detai! The decor is gorgeous! It is not your typical "coastal" vibe! It felt sophisticated and thoughtfully curated! When I realized the owner designed it herself, I wanted her to come redesign my own home! We had the best nights sleep on the dreamy mattress and bedding. The master bedroom was so soothing and we appreciated all the thoughtful touches and OH MY GRACIOUS, THE VIEW IS SPECTACULAR! We couldn't wait to sit on the fabulous balcony and take in the gorgeous sunrise and sunset! I want to be back there, NOW! The owner had everything we could possibly need or want in the kitchen! Thank you for the juicer to have fresh orange juice every morning! Also, thank you for anticipating everything we could want or need! We have never had an owner go out of their way for us to enjoy every second of our time! Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions from activities, to restaurants, to shopping and those secret non-tourist places we crave! This condo is the BEST and we will be back soon! THANK YOU!!

Ormond beach condo

My husband, 10 year old grandson and I came into town for a quick beach vacation the end of May. Susan was so helpful in giving us amazing suggestions for things to do, restaurants etc! The condo had an absolutely beautiful view. It also had everything you could want for your trip, beach chairs, beach toys, a washer and dryer. We did several fun things but I think the best thing we did was just relaxing all day at the beach watching our grandson play in the water and the sand with the other kids that were there. Hopefully we can get back to Ormond beach soon, we will definitely try to stay at this condo again!

Solid place but not great

Cons: balcony not at all private (not in pictures). The ceiling in the kitchen is low and that doesn't show up in the pictures. There were some dead bugs (3) on the walls and ceiling and the owner offered to have the cleaners come back out and clean. Ice maker did not work; however, owner sent ice/water and offered to have it fixed while we were there. TV was not working. Let owner know and she suggested a restart of the WiFi. That worked for the main TV. We we never able to get the bedroom TVs connected to the Spectrum cable like the main TV. I did not tell the owner about the bedroom TVs because I was tired of communicating and wanted to be vacationing. The pool was ice cold and was hard to be in for anyone that we met, it did warm up towards by the fifth day and was comfortable on the last day 6-7. The condo has two elevators and only one worked for the majority of our trip. The reviews on this place sold me, but it did not live up to the hype. I have buyer's remorse. Pros: Bed was comfortable, location is great (laid back), and guest bedroom mural is amazing. Owner was helpful.

Outstanding!

Our stay at Ormond by the Sea was perfect. From sunrise to sunset, we enjoyed every minute. Susan was so accommodating and ensured every detail of our stay was pleasant. We thank her housekeeping staff for going above and beyond for us. We were able to enjoy our son in laws graduation and check in just in time. We will be back for sure! Mary and Rick

Great family vacation spot

Me, my husband, and 10 year old daughter had a great time at this property. The condo matches the pictures and you can't beat being right on the ocean. The property has everything you need to enjoy the beach (towels, chairs, sand toys, etc), but there are lots of things to do in the area as well. The owner Susan was warm and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

It had fabulous bones and as an Artist I knew what its true potential was. You don't get any closer to the water or have the commanding water/ sky and sand views unless you are standing in the surf.
