Tucked away in a private vineyard on the western coast of the Peloponnese, Genari Beach Apartments invites you to slow down and savor life by the Ionian Sea. From your terrace, the horizon stretches endlessly — blue waters glistening under the sun, the shores of Kyllini shimmering in the distance, and, on clear days, the islands of Zakynthos and Kefallonia appearing like jewels on the sea.
This small, family-run retreat offers four charming apartments, each with its own entrance, garden, and direct access to the peaceful bay below. It’s a place where mornings begin with birdsong and the scent of sea air, and evenings end with a glass of local wine as the sun melts into the horizon.
Your 40 m² apartment is a cozy haven designed for comfort and simplicity. Two spacious rooms — a tranquil bedroom with a double bed and a bright living area with a sofa bed — provide space for up to four guests. The fully equipped kitchenette makes it easy to prepare breakfast with local produce or a seaside dinner after a day of exploring. The bathroom features a refreshing shower, perfect after a swim or a day in the sun.
Outside, the garden invites you to relax — read under the olive trees, meditate by the water, or enjoy a picnic while listening to the gentle waves. Just steps away, the rocks below the property are perfect for an early morning dip in the clear sea.

fantastische Lage direkt am Strand mit sanierungsbedürftiger Wohnung

die Lage verdient glatt 5 Sterne; der Strand mit klarem Wasser zum Schnorcheln ist direkt vor dem großen Garten; man hat freie Strandliegen -> kurz einfach genial. Es gibt drei Wohnungen in dem Haus, die vermietet werden. Die Vermieterin lebt im OG mit Familie. Leider ist die Wohnung sehr klein, hat keine Klimaanlage und das Mobiliar ist schrottreif (ebenso die Küchen- und Badeinrichtung). Hier gibt's nur einen Stern. Deshalb im Schnitt die 3 Sterne.

schöner geht es nicht!!!

tolle lage,tolles sehr gepflegtes Grundstück sehr guter und direkter Zugang über ein paar Felsen zum schönen meistens leeren Sandstrand.Einrichtung nicht auf neuestem stand aber trotzdem alles da was man braucht und sehr gemütlich.War eine wunderbare Zeit bei ganz lieben Menschen.Kommen bestimmt wieder.

Einfach nur schön und sehr ruhig

Eine schöne Unterkunft und die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich! Die Ausstattung ist einfach aber absolut OK. Espressokocher und Nudelsieb mitnehmen macht aber schon Sinn ;-) Die Gegend ist schön und nicht sehr touristisch! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Du positif mais également beaucoup de négatif . L'endroit pourrait être excellent mais suite à lire

le positif: La localisation de l'appartement est superbe avec un grand jardin, une petite plage privée avec des rochers. Des fauteuils,parasol à disposition. Rien à dire.Magnifique Le négatif: Lors de notre arrivée, nous n'avons pas été bien accueilli. Anna nous a donné les clés et est partie en disant qu'elle était à l'étage si il y avait des questions. La cuisine était dans un état déplorable. Nous avons du rappeler Anna par mail ,car elle n'était plus sur place.Quand elle est revenue ,nous lui avons exposé les problèmes suivants: 1) Le wc avait une fuite et de l'eau sale s'écoulait dans la salle de bain. 2) Les plaques de cuissons de la cuisinière était complètement rouillée avec des morceaux qui se détachaient.Idem pour la rouille et la graisse sur la hotte de cuisson. 3)L'unique poêle pour la cuisine avait le teflon absent sur les 3/4de la surface avec de nombreuses griffes.Impossible de cuisiner sans rique de manger le téflon avec les aliments.(toxique) 4)Une des casseroles avait des éclats dans l'émail et le métal était à nu . 5)Il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude au robinet de la cuisine . 6)Pas de possibilité d'accrocher le pommeau de douche au mur. On devrait pouvoir se doucher les mains libres. Pas chez Anna. 7)Pas de bouilloire électrique, pas de fer à repasser, pas de seche cheveux. Ustensile de cuisine limité et fortement abimé. 8)Pas de lave linge dans l'appartement . Mais possibilité de donner le linge sale à laver. Ce n'est pas la même chose. 9)Vu l'état des plaques de cuisson, il faut 30 minutes pour chauffer un l'eau dans une casserole. Après discussion, Anna nous a assuré que cette situation était normale pour la Grèce, que les grecs n'avait pas d'eau chaude pour la cuisine que les casseroles et poêle étaient normales ,etc. Que personne ne se plaignait et qu'elle n'était pas responsable des erreurs dans le texte des annonces. Elle était assez aggressive et nous a proposé de partir sans remboursement si cela ne nous convenait pas. Nous l'avons menacée d'en avertir tous les sites de location. Elle a finalement accepté de changer la poêle et la casserole et de nous placer dans un autre appartement vu le wc qui coulait. Par enchantement dans l'autre appartement, il y avait de l'eau chaude au robinet de la cuisine, mais pas de télévision. Nous n'avons plus jamais revu Anna. .C'est dommage car l'endroit pourrait être excellent mais avec de la bonne volonté, de la bonne foi et du respect envers les clients.

We assured that all your comments have been taken into serious consideration and all necessary action has been taken as a result of your feedback. Furthermore, we are in the process of improving all aspects of our facility. Regarding your comments, please allow me to point out the following: You were negative for the area from the first moment when I welcome you. I welcome you and I explain everything that you need to know about the apartment and the area. There were all the time people during your stay which you can ask them for further information. There is a washing machine for all the clients and we offer you to do this free of charge. Furthermore, you checked in to the bigger apartment which you haven’t reserved and of course all the apartments have the necessary utensils for a short stay but you were asking for pans or other utensils to cook even foreign kitchen such as Italian food .We tried to explain that there are only the necessary utensils for families up to5 people .In each apartment, there are electric kettle, iron, iron board ,coffee machine and hair dryer. You threatened me that you will write about all the negatives but there was no problem because when you make the reservation what you see on the photos are true. All the apartments have hot water. Due to fact that you mention about the bathroom, we would like to inform you that you were the first guest after a reconstruction, so everything was new. Finally, we change you to a smaller apartment having exactly the same utensils and with smaller Kitchen. The fact that you spent part of your specious time to post your comments, point out your interest to us. We would like to give us the chance in the future to deal with the details of your stay so that will be according to your expectations. Die Wohnung ist mit Privatstrand. Frühstück im Garten mit Blick aufs Meer, Hühnern die im Garten rumackern, was will man mehr... einfach grandios. We love it.

Beautiful location, good price, not luxurious

Anna seemed very nice and was extremely accommodating with regard to arrival times. The property is located right on the water, and the sunset views are spectacular. We took our dinner out to the wooden platform and it was really nice. Our stay was in March, and none of the outdoor furniture in the photos was out, but I imagine if we asked we could have had access to it. The beach was accessible over some really neat rock formations, and I highly recommend sturdy water shoes. The apartment was pretty basic, but I didn't expect luxury for that price. The dishes and cooking supplies were adequate. The shower had good water pressure, but the temperature adjustment was pretty touchy and hard to balance. There was plenty of available bedding, but the actual mattresses were very, very firm. The mattress in the bedroom definitely needs to be replaced, as I could feel each spring digging into me. Overall, this place was a decent value for the off-season money, but I was extremely disappointed in the bed.

Un pur bonheur un havre de paix ! Une plage privee un appartementa tres aéré bref le top de la Grece

Une petite maison decoupee en plusieurs appartements , un jardin magnifique et une plage privee a vos pieds le top ! Une proprietaire a votre ecoute, l ambiance grecque est presente car cette maison vit , un appartement tres propre ! Un petit bemol le manque de materiel pour faire la cuisine ( une casserole, un saladier des couverts en plus seraient bienvenue ) . Nous etions 6 avec 4 ado ! Mais bon cela ne nous a pas gaché le sejour ! Un jardin paradisiaque et un coucher du soleil en live face a vous tous les soirs !! Un petit air vous permet de ne pas avoir chaud. Et le soir viree à Katakolo pour deguster des glaces chez Maniera et un repas à la taverne de Jimmys 40 euros pour 6 ! Un delice , juste à cote du glacier ! Le top !!! On y retournera Pyrgos est 15 min joli petite ville sympa et Patra est a 1 heure de route pour prendre le bateau ideal ! .

Einmalige Lage mit fantastischem Ausblick

Das Appartement war einfach aber sehr schön. Von der Lage her wurde uns nicht zuviel versprochen- das Haus - war allein & direkt an einem kleinen eigenen Strand gelegen. Ein Supermarkt und Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten waren mit dem Auto in 10 min zu erreichen. Das Frühstück was Anna uns stellte - war ausreichend und lecker. Definitiv weiterzuempfehlen.

Einfache Ferienwohnung in schöner Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung war für uns enttäuschend. Wir hatten eine Ferienwohnung mit 2 Schlafzimmer gesucht und gebucht. Diese bestand aber aus einem Schlafzimmer und einem Raum der "Küche" Wohn- und Schlafzimmer zusammen darstellte. Die "Küche" bestand aus einem Küchenschrank, einem Kocher mit 2 Herdplatten der auf einer Kommode stand und einem Kühlschrank bei dem die Tür falsch herum aufging. Wir mussten Dinge, die in der Anzeige als Bestandteile angegeben waren, jeweils einzeln erbitten, wie Toaster, Föhn, Mülleimer, Küchenhandtücher, Gartenliegen usw usw. Es gab keine Haken, an denen man etwas aufhängen konnte. Die in der Anzeige zu sehenden Fotos sind eine Auswahl aus allen drei dort vorhandenen Ferienwohnungen. Die von anderen Gästen geschilderte Freundlichkeit der Vermieter war für uns nicht wahrnehmbar. Es gab nicht einmal eine Flasche Wasser im Kühlschrank bei unserer Ankunft und gar keine "Vorräte" nicht einmal Salz. Das Bad/WC war ungepflegt und so eng, dass man Mühe hatte auf dem Klo zu sitzen. Das Haus selbst liegt in einer wunderschönen sehr ruhigen Umgebung. Das Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt und der Platz am Meer hat eine Magie. Hiermit haben wir uns getröstet. Wer ein sehr einfaches Leben ohne Grundstandards liebt, dem kann es gefallen.

Regarding your comments, please allow me to point out the following: The main description of the apartments says clearly that “Genari apartments is a small family-run resort of three different apartments”, so your reservation was made for two people and there was no comment asking for an apartment with two different bedrooms and due this fact you stay to the apartment for two. Furthermore, the description says “Each apartment consists of a double room, a kitchen fully equipped to service up to five persons, a bathroom with shower and a living area with single beds-sofas and a window – door leading to the seafront verandas.”, so it was clear how it is the apartments. Due to the fact that you mention for an other apartment during your check in , we propose you to see also the other apartments and you finally choose this apartment. Also, the apartments are self catered for this reason we do not have any supplies in the fridge. There was a toaster, iron and iron board in the apartment and whatever you ask us we kindly offer you. Finally, we would like to thank you again for your comment as this helps us improve our service standards. We wish you the very best and we hope to see you again in Genari apartments. Ein wundervoller Urlaub

Wir durften 2 wundervolle Wochen in dieser Anlage verbringen. Wir hatten immer Glück mit unseren Ferienhäusern aber dieser absolut wunderbare Flecken Erde übertrifft alles bisherige. Die Unterkunft ist absolut sauber und wenn etwas nicht in der Küche war haben wir es sofort bekommen. Der Platz für 2 ist allemal ausreichend und wir wurden auch mit reichlich frischen Handtüchern und frischer Bettwäsche versorgt. Alles wird aber von der Lage und der Anlage getopt: eine große und sehr gepflegte Anlage mit Grill, sogar ein Pizzaofen war dabei. Auf der sonnengeschützten Terasse konnten wir den Ausblick auf das Meer, den Sonnenaufgang oder -,untergang genießen und dieses Gefühl wird uns lange erhalten bleiben. Obwohl der Zugang zum Meer eigentlich felsig ist haben die Besitzer den Einstieg mit einer kleinen Rampe erleichtert, das Meer ist ein Traum. Sandiger Meeresboden, klares, sauberes Wasser und beim schnorcheln konnten wir auch viele Fische sehen. Auch für Kinder geeignet da es ziemlich weit sehr flach ist. Da man für die Anreise sowieso ein Auto braucht ist die Lage auch bestens geeignet für Ausflüge in ein wundervolles Land mit jahrtausende langer Geschichte. Olympia, Elis, Pyrgos, Patras und, und, und. Katakolo ist ein kleines Dorf in dem man aber alle "touristischen" Bedürfnisse wie den Einkauf von Souvenirs erledigen kann ohne weite Wege auf sich zu nehmen. Eigentlich sind wir immer noch in Gedanken bei "unserem" kleinen Paradies in dem wir wirklich den ganzen Streß eines Berufsjahres abladen, unsere Seele erden konnten und viele, viele neuen Eindrücke mitnehmen konnten.Danke für diesen herrlichen Flecken Erde!!!! Lovely location just in front to the sea

We enjoyed very much to stay at Genari apartments. The house is just in front to the sea and you can have your dinner on the patio watching a wonderful sunset over the Zakinthos Island. The owners were very friendly and everything was functional to a relaxing holiday. Also the surrounding area with olive trees and vineyards is very nice and the archaeological site of Olympia is very close and worthy of a visit. Recommended!

A really special place for the perfect holidays

We stayed at this lovely place with our little daughter for three weeks and had a perfect time. The hosts were very friendly and happy to help with anything that could be needed during our stay. The apartement was clean and fitted with everything necessary. It is rural calm house with two little beaches directly in front of the large garden (and plenty more beaches nearby). Everything we needed could be easily bought in the nearby village and especially on the weekly markets in the area (there is one nearly every day of the week in one of the towns around). Our wine came from the mercouri winery around the corner. And do not forget to ask the hosts if it's possible to buy some olive oil - it is phantastic. Of course we made various tours to Olympia and ancient Elis, Castle Chlemoutsi and Kyllini, Kaiafas, Pyrgos and Katakolo. It was also very nice to take the time to drive into Arkadia for some hiking. But besides that we simply enjoyed our time at the apartement, in the garden or on the beach. This was one of our best holidays so far. Thank you very much.

top place, quietly wonderful sunset, relaxation

We are 6o+ and every year on this nice place. Always travelling by Ferry Ancona-Patras , car and bikes. So we can take at home best olive-oil and wine for the winter in Austria. The villa on top-place ist quiety located with garden, flowers and trees. Pergola shaded sitting areas, excellent house-wine from own wineyard. Wonderful view on the Ionion sea and sometimes to the island Zakinthos. Rocky coast with small quietly sandy beach. Best place for swimming, relaxing, for trips by bike among small villages with typical greek food. Shopping-centers in Pyrgos. Ancient Olympia only 2o km. Katakolo old fishervillage with new port and Cruise-ships every day and also old fisherboats, restaurants, tourists and souvenirs. Friendly owners, they are living upstears in the villa , therefor always best service. Thank You and see You next summer.

A peace of heaven,.... in Greece.

I spent a week here with my two children, 8 and 3 and it was a perfect, peaceful, family time. The sea is close, and the small beaches dotted along the coast near the house present us a variety of possibilities for time by the beach, all within walking distance of the house! My son loves to snorkel around the rocks and see what wildlife he can find: crabs, fish, eels,..The sea is clean, clear and fresh here. You can watch the small fishing boats, morning and evening pass along the sea in front of the house. * a little known fact: there is a resort that used to be a Club Med, 6 km down the coast from here* - so, all the gorgeous setting of a Club Med, and few other people! perfect. The dogs are tied up, so no worries there with them approaching the kids, but it's nice to have them there, they let you know when anyone is approaching the house. Which doesn't happen often. this is a very rural, family, agricultural part of Greece where you can simply BE. Katakolo is a fun day out, with fantastic shopping, restaurants, music and general busy-ness. There 's very well known Greek vineyard 1 km away: Merkouri, worth a visit if you like your wine. And the village itself, and surrounding villages, have a few fantastic tavernas with local food of the highest quality (we subjected it to the 'taste test!). And Soooooo kid-friendly. The hosts are friendly, while respecting your space and will do all they can to ensure your stay is comfortable and calm. A place like no other,... a peace of heaven,.... in Greece. there is good phone reception, if you need that.
