Blackhawk Creek - A Great Family Getaway

Blackhawk Creek LLC is a recently renovated farm home built in 1896. Some rooms have the original hardwood floors and there is oak trim throughout the house, adding to its country charm. There are four bedrooms in this spacious two story home with a full kitchen, large living room and dining room. The home is nestled in the hills between Ferdinand and Santa Claus (less than 7 miles from Holiday World and Splashin' Safari) with convenient access. Large shade trees, a gazebo and gas grill are great for picnics and watching sunrises and sunsets. The home is on a working farm and is great for families. You will be in the country and experience the sights and sounds of nature, including cows and sheep. You may also see deer and wild turkeys.

After a day at Holiday World, antiquing, golfing or sightseeing, the beautiful, tranquil setting of Blackhawk Creek is a great place to unwind. Blackhawk Creek is a wonderful place to make memories.

The property was perfect for our family gathering! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms had plenty of linens and the house was clean and ready when we arrived at check-in. CVS and the Dollar General were close by to pick up anything that we needed. Thank you for having a lovely place to gather!

Quiet and convenient

Everything needed for a family stay after a couple fun days at Holiday World. Convenient location to HW and Ferdinand or Jasper.

Perfect!

This place was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. Would have been even better for a week long stay! Highly recommend this rental if you are going to the area - especially for a crowd!

Perfect for a family gathering

The home was the perfect location for our family gathering. It was close and convenient to Holiday World. The outdoor areas, the pavilion and the firepit, were wonderful. The house had plenty of room and was very well stocked with everthing we needed.

Just PERFECT!!!

It's an adorable farm house with plenty of space & beds for large familes. We had 8 in our group & plenty of table space & beds. The property is quite, peaceful, & beautiful. There are cows near by, but caused no problems & enjoyed watching them daily.

Perfect girls trip

This house is super cute, the farm land is a beautiful private backdrop but close enough to the expressway and santa Claus Indiana to make a perfect girls trip. The tub is big and nice and beds are comfortable. We love it. This is our second annual girls craft weekend and plan to book next year too

Peaceful retreat

The view and the property were so peaceful, it was fun to watch the cows roaming through the pastures, and explaining farm life to our grandkids. It was a close easy drive to Holiday world, which was wonderful at the end of the day when we were very tired and had 6 small children that needed to get back and go to bed. We also enjoyed playing lots of games that were there at the house for our use. We also appreciated comfortable beds.

JUST A REALLY RELAXING PLACE TO STAY

ME AND MY FAMILY RECENTLY PLANNED A TRIP TO HOLIDAY WORLD. WE FOUND THIS HOUSE ONLINE. RATINGS WERE REALLY GOOD, AND THE HOUSE LOOKED REALLY NICE VIA THE PICTURES THAT WERE AVAILABLE, SO WE BOOKED IT. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE HOUSE, THE EXPECTATIONS WERE HIGH, AND WE WERE BLOWN AWAY. THE HOUSE WAS EVEN NICER THAN WE EXPECTED. VERY VERY VERY WELL MAINTAINED, VERY CLEAN, AND LOTS OF ROOM AND ACCOMMODATIONS. THE PROPERTY IS BEAUTIFUL, AND VERY QUITE. THE IS LITERALLY MINUTES FROM HOLIDAY WORLD. WE OVER ALL GIVE THIS A 10 STAR RATING, THANKS TO GLORIA, VERY NICE LADY. WE WILL BE VISITING AGAIN NEXT YEAR. (AND MIND YOU, WE DROVE ALMOST 300 MILES TO GET THERE!!!)

We had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights. It was a beautiful farm house set on a wonderful working farm. We were able to sit outside under a cover gazebo or by the firepit at night (wood provided) and take in the amazing sights. The beds/rooms were just as described and very spacious. 2 were on main level and two upstairs. We had everything we needed to cook/grill meals and grocery store was very close. Plenty of clean towels for showering. It was all very perfect. There was even a calf born or first morning. We would for sure stay here again. We went to Holiday World, a cave and Louisville while staying here. The owners were very responsive, kind, and even understanding. I am proud they allowed us to stay in their home. This home truly accommodated 14 people for sleeping, eating, and entertaining.

This place is great ! We stayed for the weekend trip to holiday world. Nice quiet country house with plenty of room for our 2 families. The house was clean and very well kept. The rolling hills around make for a great view and outside gazebo was awesome. Highly recommended, would definitely stay here again !!

Our first multifamily vacation

Blackhawk creek met all our needs for space, kitchen, distance to Holiday World. We ate breakfast and dinner back at the house and lunch at the park both days. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was easy to find. It was clean and well appointed.

Holiwood nights stay

Could not of had a better experience. Location was incredible for Holiday World. We had no need for anything. One of the best spors weve ever stayed. Accommodated 10 people comfortably. We loved gazebo with the grill. All tv worked. Especially enjoyed the privacy, while waking up to cows

Great farmhouse in the country with great views.

This farmhouse was perfect for pur group with trucks and trailers. Plenty of space for parking and house was very nice and well setup.

Peaceful getaway

This old family farmhouse is immaculate! Smack dab in the middle of a working cattle farm. Our party of 9 adults and side by sides had plenty of room including trailer parking. Close to Interlake Offroad Rec Area which was the reason for our visit. Be sure to have dinner at Mama T’s Italian Steakhouse! Scenic, peaceful, super clean and great communication with our host. Top notch rental!
