The Cottage

The cottage can sleep six with the private master bedroom downstairs, a trundle bed (two singles upstairs) and a comfy pull-out couch in the living area.

The bathroom includes a bath, shower and a heated floor.

The modern kitchen (also with a heated floor) is fully equipped complete with oven, microwave and stove. All crockery, pots, pans, cutlery, cups, mugs and glasses are provided.

The living area has a gas fireplace, a flat-screen TV with DVD and high speed internet access.

The large deck, facing west over the ocean, offers great sunsets and fabulous views year round. There is also a gas BBQ, lounges, and outdoor table and chairs.

There is an abundance of wildlife including eagles, otters, seals and deer while whale sightings from the deck are frequent.

Free parking for one vehicle is provided outside the front door to the cottage.

Getting there

You can get to Pender Island by BC Ferries, float plane, water taxi or private boat. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal at Otter Bay.

Shopping

A general store is a two minute walk away (closed in low season) however a taxi enables guests to travel to the Driftwood Shopping Centre for groceries, gifts, books, liquor, banking and other necessities.

Other Activities

Sunshine! It has been quoted that Pender Island gets as much annual sunshine as the Okanagan.

There are 2 heated pools (one for adults only) as well as a marina. The pools are closed during winter months. Please send request for the dates that the pools are open

Scooters are available for rental at the general store.

A nearby 9-hole golf course (0.5 km away) and there are many wonderful hikes with spectaculat views.

There are a number of restaurants on the island.

Cozy cabin on the water

Picture perfect views!

We loved this relaxing, clean, and comfortable cottage with fantastic ocean views. The large deck was our scenic sanctuary for reading, relaxing and BBQs, and we enjoyed the efficient fireplace in the cooler May evenings. What a treat to stay here!

Relaxing holiday on Pender

We came to this location as a getaway for a quiet couple of days away from our busy lives. Our unit was as expected and perfect how ever saddened by the upkeep of such a beautiful cabin. We would love to come back!

This was a perfect place for a weekend getaway! We knew that the place is beautiful when we booked it but we were blown away by how stunning it is when we walked into the living room. The host is very responsive and made sure we have everything we need. I already recommended this place to friends!

Otter Bay accommodation

We loved our stay on Pender Island. We had an absolutely stunning ocean view. The house was beautiful with large windows, high ceilings, and fully equipped kitchen. It has a large patio surrounding the house on the ocean side. Absolutely ideal. It allows pets which was a key for us because we have a young puppy.

Pender Island Family Getaway

Lovely property in a great location to the ferry terminal (within walking or biking distance). The condo had more than everything you'd need for a getaway. We had family renting 3 condos from the same property and had a shared Thanksgiving Dinner out on the patio. There was a loft bedroom with a single bed and pullout bed below it (not too comfy but maybe ok for kids (however it's up a set of stairs and open to the kitchen and living room). We loved our stay! They even had a BBQ and we were close to the marina to launch our Kayaks and paddle boards!

Pender Getaway

Very much enjoyed the visit to Pender Island. The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped and clean. Beautiful view over the water. Off season, the cottage complex is very quiet and it is a good time for exploring Pender.

Amazing time at this beautiful little cottage!

My friends & I had an amazing time celebrating my 30th birthday at this cute little cottage in Pender Island! The location was unbeatable, with beautiful ocean/mountain views and conveniently located right next to the ferry terminal. Would definitely recommend!

Gorgeous view, but fell short of our expectations.

Pros: - Gorgeous view. Absolutely beautiful! - Large deck space and outdoor furniture. - Well stocked kitchen. - Lovely property and grounds. - Enough space for 4. - New couch delivered on our day of arrival. Cons: - Horrendous customer service by onsite staff member. I have never before experienced such a rude or condescending welcome in my life. - Unit was not well cleaned: windows were filthy, dust on many surfaces, corners of floors had obvious debris left. - Very uncomfortable mattresses on single bed, trundle and main bed. The were very hard! - Sheets appeared clean, but blankets were obviously not laundered between guests. We found stains and crusted-on food from previous guests. Disgusting!
