Please note the swimming pool refurbishment is now complete and the pool is open to guests. A booking system applies through the holiday park in order to adhere to Covid restrictions.

Driftwood Lodge has part sea views & is 300m from the beach in a village.

Driftwood Lodge is nestled in the Idyllic Kingsdown Holiday Park and is lodge number 108. Downstairs the accommodation comprises of a Lounge/Diner, fully equipped Kitchen with cooker/hob, microwave and dishwasher, shower room/toilet and bedroom 3 with 2 single bunk beds. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms and an upstairs toilet. To the rear is a south west facing decked area for BBQ's and dining table.

Please note that wifi is not available in the chalet but is available at Park Reception

Great stay in a lovely area! We used the pool and play park and explored the beach. Lovely pubs in walking distance and a short drive to Deal. All the amenities you could possibly need in the chalet & easy checking in/out. Will definitely be booking again!

We absolutely loved the place. Perfect for children as there loads to do and its all very safe. The house is well equipped. The kids bedroom is really sweet and the upstairs ones are surprisingly big. I didn't realise how close to the beach it was. even on a boiling bank holiday it wasn't too crowded. Absolute bargain - honestly our kids had the best time.

Some rubbish was found on kids bunk bed stairs and the place needed dusting throughout. As expected the ceilings were sloped but I was hoping for a little bit of normality. We all bumped heads and shoulders in the sloped ceiling bur taller family member got a cut on his head as the ceilings have some protruding render. Anyhow overall the place is great. A lot of efforts in the bathrooms show it has been revamped. The park is great as well.

Thank you for your feedback, we shall send on to the cleaner as this is the first time we have received comments regarding the quality of the cleaning. The sloping ceilings in the bedrooms are artex plaster with a stippled finish. I think it is probably the stipple finish that you are referring to. Glad you enjoyed the break and found everything else great.

Great holiday had by all

A lovely place to stay. Lodge was very comfortable. We enjoyed having a mixture of eating out and eating in, kitchen was well equipped. It was so lovely for the children to gather on the green to play with other children after their days out. Loved the swimming pool and the park too

Pretty cottage in a more wonderful setting

We felt very comfortable during our week-long stay. The lodge is cozy and stylishly decorated. The cottage park is very well maintained, the staff very friendly. The location offers a lot of possibilities (hiking, sightseeing, swimming, ...). Recommended for families and couples!

Lovely chalet

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Driftwood Lodge. The lodge was clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed. The owners left us a few basic provisions for when we arrived which was a nice touch. The amenities on the holiday park were good too. There are three pubs serving food within a 5 minute walk of the lodge and one is right on the seafront. There is a lovely, flat walk (away from the cars) along the seafront into nearby Walmer and Deal (2-3miles) where there are many more places to eat. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great place for a family vacation

Stair gate at top of stairs hanging off on arrival screw come out at bottom. ( not an issue for us as we have older children) wooden chair on bk porch un-usable back broken/rotted away (not an issue for us, plenty of other chairs out there) blinds at front door / main entrance don't close. (No big deal -thought u should know ) Lovely little chalet everything u voted want is there. Park itself is excellent and the staff are very friendly, beach 5 - 10 min walk away, (gravel beach - this was a massive + for us as my youngest has a respiratory disease and can not go on sand so to give him the chance to exsperience the beach/sea for the first time in his life at the age of 10 was just wonderful. Plenty of nice places to eat in area but book early getting a table can be challenging. If your looking for something a bit upmarket the coach and horses is very very nice. Great holiday

Beautiful location, family friendly site and lovely chalet!

We had such a lovely, relaxing stay at this wonderful holiday park. The chalet was well equipped and it was a real bonus that there were cleaning products, salt and pepper, picnic crockery and a wide variety of cooking utensils and things that make self-catering much easier and more enjoyable. We had BBQs on the decking looking out over a lovely green area, played tennis, mini golf and swam and there was plenty of room to chase the kids around too on the site! We received a towel change mid-stay which was great and Andrew was very helpful with any questions we had before our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the chalet again because it was such a good experience. Thank you!

Fantastic venue

We absolutely loved this place, it was perfect for our family, 5 year old and 9 year old. So much to do. Beach so close, lovely walks plenty of outdoor activities on site snd in local area. We will come back so glad we found it

Excellent, owners were very helpful, easy to get hold of and forward emails with regards to the social club arranged events. We have kids of 3 and 5 who thoroughly enjoyed the week and were sad to leave.

Perfect break!

We had a wonderful week at the property. Everything you could possibly need to make the stay as easy as possible with added extras for the children to enjoy. The park was very well run and safe. We would absolutely (and have already!) recommend the property and will be coming back. Andrew was especially helpful with providing all the information we needed but the reality is that it was exactly as advertised and hoped so we really didn’t need anything. Thanks again.

Fantastic site and location

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at this property. Upon arrival we checked in and found our chalet with ease . It is a great size has plenty of things that make you feel like it's a home away from home. The children were able to ride around the site on bikes without the worry of cars. Lots of things to do on site but in a great location to go off exploring. Would highly recommend. Thanks so much

Late Summer Weekend at Kingsdown

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The chalet was decorated and furnished to a high standard. It felt very homely and the children loved the bunk bed and decoration in their room. The kitchen was really well equipped. I appreciated the attention to detail the owners gave in their communication. Thank you so much. This is the 3rd time we have stayed in the holiday park and we hope to come back soon.

Great place to stay!!

We had a great time at Driftwood Lodge. Kingswood Holiday Park was lovely it was quiet, clean and very pretty. The lodge was warm and cozy. Really bright and fresh. It had everything you could need and more. There were games for the kids and DVDs which was a lovely surprise. Everything was spotless and clean. The area is gorgeous. The beach was a very short walk away and its a pleasant walk along the coast to Deal. My son left his IPad there and the owners spent a lot of time searching for it in the awkward place it had been hidden in. They were really great about it. We were 2 families of 4 and we all agreed it was great and would highly recommend.

A very relaxing and enjoyable stay

The lodge was very well furnished and equipped providing everything necessary for our stay. It was very clean and we could relax as soon as we arrived. We would certainly recommend staying here and hope to book again in the future.

Kingsdown

Mooi locatie, cottages zijn klein en compact maar wel leuk. Omgeving is prachtige. Deal is een prachtige dorp en is heel dicht bij. London is 2 uur rijden. Benzine auto's met aanhangwagens zijn minder geschikt door de hoge bergen en scherpbochten op een helling.

Driftwood Lodge - Clean, tidy and well appointed!

We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday in this charming lodge. The owners had considered everything to make a family holiday stress free - there was nothing missing. The lodge is in a good position on the park which is a safe area for children and only a few minutes from the beach. The swimming pool on the park was not open during our stay but this made no difference to our holiday as we used the Leisure Centre pool which was only 10 minutes away in Deal. This pool had slides, tubes etc., which appealed to the children. There are lots of local attractions all within a short driving distance. Our grandchildren ranged in age from 6-15 and we found something to keep everyone happy. We would have no hesitation in booking Driftwood Lodge for future family holidays and would highly recommend it to others.

Thanks for looking at our Scandanavian style lodge in the fabulous village of Kingsdown. We are Keith, Christine and Andrew and we have always lived in Kent. As we can't be here with friends and family ourselves all the time, we are delighted to be offer the lodge to you and your family or friends! We love Kingsdown Park for its great location near the beach, great pubs nearby and all the facilities the park has to offer. Driftwood Lodge has part sea views & is 300m from the beach set in an idyllic country village.

Driftwood Lodge number 108 is part of Kingsdown Holiday Park, a complex of Scandinavian style lodges. The park offers an indoor swimming pool that was refurbished in 2020, tennis court, volley ball, crazy golf and children's play area and is a few minutes walk to the beach. Due to its rural village location there are also great walks and cycle rides all around.
