Affordable and Convenient - the Mountainside Inn is walking distance to historic downtown Telluride and just 200 yards from the Coonskin Ski Lift (#7).

*Please Note: Parking in the town of Telluride is a growing issue. Mountainside Inn parking spaces are limited, and we cannot guarantee availability as in years past. We strongly encourage you to consider one of the many local shuttle options in favor of driving. Should you choose to drive, beginning effective May 22nd, 2025, there is a $20 per night parking fee. If there is no Mountainside Inn parking available, you may need to pay to park overnight in the public SilverJack garage, located .5 miles from the Inn*
The Mountainside Inn is located along the San Miguel River in the heart of Telluride. It is comprised of four separate buildings, all of which are two floors with stair access (no elevators). Rooms may face the river, mountainside, parking lot or a neighboring building.

This hotel room has a king bed that can be split into two twins if desired. The room has a flat-screen TV with satellite, mini-fridge, small microwave, fan and humidifier. The private bathroom has a shower (no tub) and hairdryer.

This unit has one parking spot in the courtyard parking or public parking lot next door; a permit is required. Parking is first-come, first-served. Complimentary wifi is included. Coin laundry is available. There is no A/C at this property.

The Mountainside Inn is just two blocks from the grocery store, and about a 10-minute walk from historic downtown Telluride. The river trail offers a delightful path through town, and the free in-town shuttle picks up about a 1/2-block from the Inn.

Please be aware that your room number may differ from the one on your reservation confirmation. The Mountainside Inn reserves the right to move reservations to a comparable room without notifying the guest.

This room is pet-friendly with prior notification and a $30/night pet fee. Pet fees will be charged at check-in.

Great location

The mountainside inn was a great basecamp for our Telluride adventure. The room was pretty basic, but it was clean, the location is great (walking distance to the gondola and most things in town), and the pricing was cheaper than other properties in Telluride. Would recommend for others looking for an affordable option in town.

Perfect spot for Mini-Moon Stay!

My husband and I stayed here for a night during our mini-moon road trip and really enjoyed it! The space was clean and included everything we needed - plenty of space, microwave, fridge, etc. Location was great - quick walk to popular bars and restaurants in town. Check in process was smooth and they were extremely accommodating (let us check in early and check out late) Highly recommend this space!

Amazing!

Great location! I love that the Dahl house was basically in the middle of town and everything was a short walk. Best of all, you are right behind, “Baked in Telluride”.....yummy! Overall, would stay at this house again!

Amazing location in Telluride!

The location of this property cannot be beat. Walking distance to the mountain and the town. It was a nice, quiet place to stay with proper amenities. The only thing missing is a hot tub, which unfortunately the website says is closed, but in fact just does not exist. Would stay here again though!

The rental experience was fantastic. Easy. The property was as advertised. Clean room, had all amenities we needed - fan, refrigerator, table and chairs to eat at, and LARGE bathroom. Parking was close and it was walkable to Town.

Great budget hotel

Was a little worried since this is the budget hotel of Telluride but was pleasantly surprised. Short walk to ski lift and to restaurants. Room could use a little updating but was clean and was absolutely fine. Very quiet location. No problem parking but we were there during what is apparently the slow season, end of January.

Beautiful location in Telluride

This property was ideally situated along the river. Our room was pretty basic but clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and did their best to make check-in a smooth process. Just a few little suggestions: label the shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower so they can be identified; include an iron and ironing board in the rooms- clothes get wrinkled after being in a suitcase - and maybe add a few more hooks in the bathroom for towels and such. Otha, we had a very nice stay.

Consider this property a hotel, not like a house

This property should be a hotel, the only space is the bedroom like a hotel, it is nice and clean. The listing has not been updated to state the hot tub is closed, paid extra to have a hot tub and then it is closed, update your listing to reflect reality. No Air conditioner, you open your window and then the building next door's front steps are right by your window and people sit on the steps and smoke. So when you turn your fan on to cool your space, you pull in their cigarette smoke... :-(

Good location to town!

The room itself was nothing special and felt dingy (the carpet was dingy). The room was adequate but basic. The best part was the location of the unit. It was easy to take the path along the river and walk into town. Our room overlooked the adjacent street and parking lot area so we tried to spend as little time as possible in the room. Maybe try to request a river side room. There is no AC but there was a fan. Since my room faced the parking lot, I couldn't easily leave window open due to noise. There weren't enough supplies for making coffee so had to get it from the office. The sign says they open at 8:30, but they don't open until after 9:00. Overall a basic accommodation with good location to town and gondola.

There are ridiculous fees (some hidden) that would affect my decision to stay here again. They don't break the bank, but a "Linens Surcharge", "Reservation Fee" and undisclosed Pet Fee are crazy. I don't believe anyone should have to pay for fresh linens when staying in a hotel, and why would I be charged for reserving a non-refundable room? This is also a pet friendly hotel which is why I booked it, but I never received any information about a Pet Fee. I feel taken advantage of and won't be staying again because of that reason.
