Lovely but a bit tired around the edges
We had a lovely stay at Twitchers lodge, the location is amazing. However the accommodation is a little tired, the furniture has changed since the photos were taken and the inside needs a bit of TLC particularly the downstairs shower which needs a good bleach.
There were only 3 champagne flutes, not ideal when a group of 4 is staying for a 60th celebration! Generally the crockery is a bit tired too with a few cracks and chips and some items of cutlery a bit sparse. One of the chairs on the terrace is also broken.
These small things didn’t impact our stay particularly, but when marketing the property as luxury with a price to match, we expect attention to detail and this is where the property fell short. Don’t let it put you off booking, just lower your expectations slightly before arrival.
