El Patio is one of five well equipped apartments of Finca San Ambrosio with access to a community pool, a large garden, barbecue and garden terrace with garden furniture.

The Finca is set amongst fruit orchards and pasture in the green south of Andalusia, Province of Cadiz, in beautiful landscape and only about 1,6 miles from the wide golden beaches of the Costa de la Luz. Conil and Vejer de la Frontera are just a 10 minutes drive away.

An enormous ground floor apartment (240 sqm), entered via a south facing terrace with garden furniture, partly shaded by a large sun umbrella. Arches from the sitting room lead to a dining room and through to a huge, well equipped kitchen. On the far side of the sitting room in a separate wing are 3 twin bedrooms (with very good, extra length beds), one with an ensuite bathroom, a second large bathroom with two wash-basins (suitable for wheelchairs), and a separate WC.
Well equipped kitchen with 6-flames-cooker, oven, fitted extractor hood, large fridge with cooler, a very good assortment of pots and pans, kitchenware, glases etc., and dishwasher.
Pans and pots etc. in any size, also for large families and groups.
Large dining room with tables and chairs, sideboards, glass cabinet and extra dishes. More tables and chairs can be provided.
All bathrooms are nicely tiled and with marble supports, one of the bathrooms wheelchair accessible.
Central heating in all rooms, cast iron fireplace in the living room.

Events are allowed if the entire Finca is booked.

We provide cots and highchairs on request without additional costs.

Up to 2 additional beds can be provided too, the weekly rate amounts to 70 Euro/bed.

La casa y el entorno es maravilloso. Cerca de playas espectaculares. La casa es ideal para estancias con familia y amigos.

Unser kleines Paradies

Ich war mit meiner Familie und Freunden schon über 30 mal dort und wir haben vor 2 Wochen wieder das Patio für den Herbst gemietet, damit die Vorfreude endlich wieder wachsen kann! Ein Traum von Finca, in der man seinen Urlaub in vollen Zügen in Ruhe genießen kann. Sowohl in der Finca, als auch an den nahe gelegenen Stränden, Städten und Restaurants kann man sich nur wohl fühlen. Ich kann es mit bestem Gewissen weiter empfehlen!

Ein kleines Paradies

Ich verbrachte bereits zum dritten Mal meine Ferien in dieser kleinen Idylle. Die ersten Aufenthalte waren im Oktober 2010 und 2011. Die größte Faszination ist für mich die Ruhe, die von diesem liebevoll gestalteten Areal ausgeht. Man hört das Rascheln der Palmblätter im Wind, bellende Hunde nah und fern, mal ein brüllendes Rind und konkurierendes Krähen der Hähne. Der Blick schweift über Orangen- und Zitronenbäume, Wandelröschenhecken, Hibuscusbüschen und anderen Pflanzen der südländischen Flora. Auch im Oktober bei sommerlichen Temperaturen und badenden Kindern im Pool gibt es lauschige Plätzchen zum verweilen oder einige Seiten im Buch zu lesen. Die Unterkünfte sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. So, als wollte der Vermieter am liebsten selber einziehen. Die nahegelegenen Strände sind ein Traum und die landestypischen weißen Ortschaften laden zum Bummeln und Miterleben der spanischen Lebensart ein.

perfekt

wir waren fast 4 Wochen in 2012 und 2 Wochen in 2011 auf der Finca zu Gast, es war Wunderschön, auf der Terrasse, am Pool liegen die Sonne genießen im Nov./ Dez., einfach traumhaft, natürlich haben wir für 2013 wieder gebucht! Von der Finca aus ist es ein Katzensprung zum herrlichem Atlantic, in den Naturpark und für Pferdefreunde gibt es super möglichkeiten zum Ausritt. Also wie gesagt wir kommen wieder und freuen uns auf Euch beide!

Wunderschönes Quartier zw. alten Orangenbäumen

Die Finca San Ambrosio liegt wunderschön: in einem großen Orangenhain stehen das Haupthaus und die beiden kleineren Häuser. Zur passenden Jahreszeit lassen sich die Orangen ernten - sie geben einen überaus leckeren Saft (nach diesem Genuss mag ich die Saftorangen, die man hier kaufen kann, erstmal gar nicht mehr)! Der Blick von der Finquita-Terasse geht in den Orangenhain, ihm steht (anders als bei sehr küstennahen Häusern) keine Mauer o.ä. im Weg - allein für diesen Blick in die Landschaft nehme ich gerne in Kauf, dass ich zum Strand ein paar Kilometern fahren muss. Wir waren schon recht oft auf der Finca, unser Lieblingsappartement ist das Finquita. Es ist perfekt ausgestattet. Ich koche gerne - und bin immer wieder begeistert, dass mir in dieser Küche nichts fehlt: Gasherd mit 4 Flammen, Ofen, Töpfe, Pfannen, Messer, Geschirr, Besteck - alles ist in hochwertiger Qualität vorhanden. Und sollte doch mal etwas fehlen: der stets freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, der täglich auf dem Gelände anzutreffen ist, schafft umgehend Abhilfe. Nicht nur die Küche ist perfekt, auch die Ausstattung des Appartements ist super: gute Betten, vernünftiges (und trotzdem schönes) Mobiliar mit großzügigem Platz für alles, was man im Reisegepäck dorthin transportiert hat, bequeme Sessel usw. Toll ist im Finquita auch der gußeiserne Ofen: er ist nicht nur schön anzusehen, er verhilft an kühleren Abenden auch unabhängig von der Heizung zu angenehmer Wärme. Die Terasse vom Finquita ist i.d.R. windgeschützt: selbst an einem sonnigen Wintertag kann man dort im T-Shirt frühstücken bzw. sitzen. Auch hier ist die Ausstattung sehr gut: neben Tisch, Stühlen und Sonnenschirm gibt es auch 2 Sonnenliegen auf der Terasse. Der Pool auf dem Gelände hat eine Größe, die tatsächlich Schwimmen ermöglicht. Er wird allmorgendlich von allem Hereingefallenen befreit und lädt mich so schon vor dem Frühstück zu einem Sprung ins Wasser ein. Es gibt durchaus Tage, an denen der Pool die einzige Möglichkeit bietet, ein wenig zu schwimmen - am Atlantik ist die Brandung manchmal so stark, dass man mit Wellen spielen, aber nicht mehr wirklich schwimmen kann. Wir haben das Appartement stets in sauberem und gepflegtem Zustand vorgefunden, sind von den Vermietern bzw. ihren Mitarbeitern jederzeit gut und zuvorkommend betreut worden und können das Finquita (wie auch alle anderen Appartements der Finca San Ambrosio) uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful setting

It is maybe eight years since we stayed at Finca San Ambrosio now. We stayed three of four holidays prior to that, and the finca, and the area in general, convinced us that we should be looking to buy somewhere for ourselves, which is just what we did (with Gabiele and Edgars good guidance too!) Even so, I often wish we could go back and stay at the finca. It was so relaxing and set in such beautiful and peaceful countryside, and still only being just a few minutes away from some of what I regard as the best beaches in Europe. We stayed in several of the apartments in the finca over four years, bigger and smaller, and each were comfortable and well equipped. The reception was wonderfully warm, but always understated, with friendly help always available, but also a sense that this was your holiday and that you should be left to really enjoy it.

The Finca is set amongst fruit orchards and pasture in the green south of Andalusia, Province of Cadiz, in beautiful landscape and only about 1,6 miles from the wide golden beaches of the Costa de la Luz. Conil and Vejer de la Frontera are just a few minutes drive away.

Situated in front of the nature park 'La Breña' with its pine forest, and surrounded by wide meadows with horses, cows, and goats, by fruit orchards and some farms and private houses, Finca San Ambrosio is a green oasis - birds twittering, the wind rustling in the Eucalyptus trees, the murmur of the stream...

It seems to be far away from it all, but in a five minutes drive you can reach the 'White Village' Vejer de la Frontera with its spectacular views to the Laguna de la Janda, the Atlantic and the coast of Africa. There you can enjoy also the lovely white Moorish architecture, enchanted places with bars and cafes. The lively seaports of Conil and Barbate with fish markets, restaurants, beach bars are also nearby, and of course the beautiful golden sandy beaches of the Costa de la Luz..

The main house of the Finca, a large Andalusian style Cortijo, is divided into 3 spacious apartments for 4-7 pax, the two garden houses into 4 smaller apartments (2-3 pax each), all with private terraces and separate entrances. Each apartment is equipped to a high standard.

A path through natural gardens leads to a pool (12x6 m) with terraces, sun beds and outside shower, a shaded upper terrace with garden furniture and a separate barbecue with al fresco dining place.

All apartments of Finca San Ambrosio can be rented separately, but the Finca is also very suitable for a large group or family, for relaxing holidays and celebrations. It offers a pleasant atmosphere with its large romantic gardens, and a lot of space to stay together or be on one’s own. Seven comfortable apartments accommodate up to 30 people
