This house comfortably accommodated 3 families with young kids. We loved our stay here. The rooms were spacious m, each with its own en-suite. The pool didn’t disappoint and the onsite staff did an excellent job to keep the property tidy. We would have no hesitations staying here again.

Great house in a very convenient location close to the center of Akumal. Doesn’t have direct access to beach but the outdoor space and pool are really nice. The interior spaces are roomy with tall ceilings and nice design. Each bedroom is ample in size with its own bath. The housekeepers are very nice and we had great dinners at the house prepared by Chef Alexander of Daveed Chef Services. Overall a really good experience!

The house was gorgeous as well as the pool and grounds. All the house was air conditioned and each bedroom had its own unit. Ther were 11 of us and all of us loved it. We have used VRBO many times and this house is one of the best we’ve ever rented!

Best House in Akumal

It was the best location. It accommodated our family they provided everything,it felt like we were celebrities or royalty with eveything cared for.

We had a wonderful time at Casa De La Luz for my birthday celebration. The house was in immaculate condition, the property manager, Monica and Hugo, were excellent. We had two small issues and they fix them within hours. The housekeeper and the grounds person, Liliana and Eduardo, were always available and were so helpful with laundry, dishes, daily cleans, etc. The pool, THE POOL. It was a big reason I booked this house, and it did not disappoint. It’s like a mini, private resort. We had dinner catered by Chef Daveed one night, hired a van for the day from Miguel Namaste, to take us around to some of the Cenotes and into Tulum. We ordered groceries ahead of time, so everything was stocked when we arrived. We were thrilled. The one downside, which had nothing to do with the house, was the sargassum/seaweed problem affecting this coastline. It was incredibly stinky and made it nearly impossible to swim. I would definitely come back.

Fabulous family vacation

We had such a lovely time staying here with our family. Gorgeous rooms and pool. Easy walk to the restaurants in town. Loved the recommended chef service. House is very well maintained. Highly recommend!

Villa was even better than the pictures - the perfect holiday destination - the golf buggy was brilliant and a few lovely restaurants within walking distance

Beautiful house-great location

The house is wonderfully big with room for 3 generations. The pool is lovely and relaxing. The housekeeping staff was excellent, the chefs outstanding. The property is well protected and located in a great area of local shops and restaurants. The beach is just a short walk away.

Excellent vacation

Casa de la Luz is a beautiful, luxurious house in the heart of Akumal. It is beautifully furnished and nestled behind palm trees, giving it a secluded feel despite its proximity to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We were wowed from the moment we we walked through the doors into the spacious interior. The pool is surrounded by a lush garden and beautiful deck--an ideal place to sip morning coffee or evening drinks.

Fantastic house and great area

We stayed here for a week with 14 people including an infant. Everything went great. Area is very safe and having to golf cart to get to the nearby beach bar is awesome. House was clean and better than in the pictures. Highly recommend.

family vacation

3 of the bedrooms are in a separate building requiring a total of 4 keys to lock all the doors. The house was big and comfortable . the property, the pool, fantastic. Our family of 11 loved the house daily cleaning was excellent.

Even better the we imagined!

This was a perfect family retreat. The house was built like a fortress. It was incredibly quiet and in fact you really couldn't hear anyone when your door was closed. We did not need a car because the beach, restaurants and stores were all a short walk. The pool was beautiful and the housekeeper & landscaper made sure that we had everything we needed.

Wonderful Stay!

Casa de la Luz is a gorgeous home with all the amenities you need to enjoy your family vacation. My family and I felt at home as soon as we got there. It is spacious to accommodate a large group each area of the home enable everyone to enjoy each other’s company’s or be alone if needed. Aside from the house and unique furnishes, the daily maid service was exceptional! The house was always spic and span, bedrooms always serviced and fresh towels both in room and beach towels refreshed if needed. Great time had by all! Will certainly be returning.

Great for Multiple Families

The property was great. Everyone enjoyed the pool and there was enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. It was nice having a gated compound as we could let the young ones wonder about without worrying. Sone days we never left our little personal paradise! The location was easy walking distance to the beach, dive shops, restaurants and a couple small grocery stores. We had 4 divers in our group and it was amazing to wake up, walk to the Dive Shop, dive and walk back, all before 10am!

Family/Friends Vacation

Beautiful house. Every room and bathroom is amazing. Loved the roof top, pool, outdoor table. Water canters in every bathroom. Very nice touch. Renting golf carts for a few days is the way to go. Super fun and helpful for groceries etc. also take it to the lagoon to snorkel. Best and cheapest place for groceries and alcohol is Puerto Adventuras at cheddauri (spelling might be off) and just hop on the collectivo…it will take you right there for less than 5. Amazing holiday!!

Best vacation.

My family and I visited in February. It was one of the best vacations we've ever taken. The house is absolutely beautiful and the pool is incredible. The location of the house was great. Close to many stores and restaurants. The host was very accommodating and greeted us within 24 hours to see if we had any questions or needed anything. The housekeepers were also very sweet and helpful. Couldn't imagine not having them there!!! They made the most amazing salsa and guacamole! We will definitely be returning one day!!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us !

Beautiful house and property

Group of 4 families 14 total guests with kids from 3 to 13. Lots of room for everyone. Easily able to cook for a crowd in the kitchen. Close to cenotes and lagoon. Beach access is limited but the pool was great. Most of the beach in Akumal is private or you have to pay to walk on it (or eat at a beach restaurant) so early morning beach walks were not really possible. There is a nice safe road to walk/run on. The caretakers are wonderful and kind. Really was a glorious week.

Lovely family trip

Myself and extended family spent our Christmas holiday together in this house. The house was perfect for our needs, spacious, clean, and we all loved the pool! Monica was super helpful before the trip helping to arrange transfers from the airport and Hugo was equally as helpful during our stay, getting us in touch with a wonderful and trustworthy tour guide to explore the area. Eduardo and Liliana are top notch and made us feel very taken care of and luxurious during our time there. We even took use of Daveed’s personal chef service twice which really elevated our stay with chefs Esmerelda and Alex treating us to an authentic Mexican holiday meal. Highly recommend a stay here, house is perfect, service is perfect and there is so much to do in the area. Thanks again for a memorable trip!!

A perfect Gem!

This property went beyond my expectations! The house is a very generous space. The rooms are well stocked with towels, body wash, and shampoo. The host has thought of so many details that made our stay smooth and nothing less of spectacular. The only thing I would note is our arrival was rough. The AC was not on, and our first night was a rough start, we reap wild it quickly and the rest was cool and very, very enjoyable. I can’t say enough about the staff.. They were all very kind and accommodating. We can’t wait to get back soon!

Amazing Property

Thank you so much! Everything was amazing! The house was incredible and was perfect for our 5 couples! We really appreciate you having a high chair and play n pack for the baby. Akumal was easy to navigate and take advantage of excursions! Daveed’s chef service was the best! Delicious!!! The pool was thoroughly enjoyed day and night and the long kitchen table hosted many family board games. All the little touches were very appreciated! I cannot say enough about this home and property. We took our family of 7 adults and three toddlers for 7 days over Christmas. The house is wonderful - the common areas are spacious and comfortable; the bedrooms are all set away from the common areas and are roomy, quiet, pleasant spaces.Our host, Monica was a patient communicator who answered all sorts of questions from us leading up to our stay. She helped us with arrangements leading up to our stay and had lots of great tips once we arrived. We ordered groceries ahead of our arrival from Riviera Maya Groceries and that was easy and so helpful for breakfasts and snacks. One of the best things we did was have Chef’s Samuel and Gabriella from Chef Daveed come prepare all of our dinners. Oh! My! Gosh! They were absolutely wonderful and prepared and served us 7 five star dinners as well as Christmas Day brunch. The food was incredible and we fell in love with both Sam and Gabi. They made our stay really special.We rented 2 golf carts for our stay but everything you would need is very walkable. The small townsite is cute and has lots of little gift shops, cafe’s and a fairly well appointed convenience store.This home is perfect for family gatherings like ours and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
