Quite central in Newlyn/Penzance, many Seagulls and overall a nice flat with well equipped kitchen. Beds were comfortable, washing machine was very well working. Parking situation is ok. We liked it there

Fantastic view and great location

Fantastic views over Newlyn port and great location for accessing many places in West Cornwall. Very clean property, lovely host and very homely.

A lovely property with an amazing view which is forever changing. The house is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Jill is so responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Beautiful House!

We had a fantastic 2 week stay in this gorgeous house with amazing views. We felt like this was a home from home, the locals are friendly, great places to eat, lovely walk along the promenade into Penzance. We’ll absolutely book this place again for any future trips to Cornwall, we’re already missing the views and we’ve only been home 24 hours.

Port View

Very enjoyable stay for 2nd year running. Property well maintained and equipped. Parking space although tight is a bonus. Would recommend.

Amazing, the home was perfect, homely, clean and with the most stunning view that is forever changing with a buzzing harbour there is plenty to watch, if you have children or adults that love to watch the comings and goings of the fishing vessels

First Class Property

This was the perfect experience from booking to the condition of the property. Good communications from the start made our check in easy. The house was impeccably clean, well furnished and cosy with a stunning view over Newlyn Harbour.

Beautiful house, fabulous views

This was our 7th stay at port view and we have booked again for next year. It’s a real home from home, well equipped and close to everything you need in the village, with great views of the harbour. Newlyn is a great location for exploring other parts of Cornwall, without the crazy, busy-ness of other places like st Ives or Falmouth. Thanks for a fabulous holiday x

Newlyn Gem!

Wonderful stay in Jill's house. Everything left you could need, and little extra's too! House in a wonderful position and parking too which is a huge bonus anywhere in Cornwall. The neighbours very friendly too and Linda and her husband were very generous with giving us some wonderful hake. House has two lovely balconies and views were spectacular. Thank you Jill!

magnificent

The absolutely breathtaking view is the main character of this house, without downgrading of all the other superior outfittery (incl. plug adapters eu-uk e.g.) which was as best as possible. We enjoyed our stay at port view the utmost. Jill, you've got a gem there and once we'll see a chance we'll return.

It was perfect

It was our first trip to Cornwall and surly not the last! The landscape is wonderful and the people are very friendly. We had a very nice stay at Port View. The house is spacious and has enough room for a family with 3 children. Attention if you have young children, the garden wall is very small. Everything was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Jill is very nice and helpful. There are lots of seagulls due to the proximity to the harbor. Who also like to sit on the terrace sometimes. The neighbor fed the seagulls sometimes. Newlyn is not a typical vacation resort but still very original. With the bus you are quickly in Penzance or Mousehole or Marazion (St. Michaels Mount) Some beautiful beaches, eg Sennen Cove, Porthcurno, Carbis Bay or the Minack Theater are less than 20 minutes away by car. All in all we had a great vacation with many impressions.

We had a great week, the view makes this place, always something to watch from the fishing boats in the bay to St Michael’s Mount and Marazion in the distance. Fresh fish for sale in the little shops in Newlyn daily and central for visiting other places. Flew from Lands End airport a short drive away over to St Mary’s. As with most of Cornwall it’s hilly and a climb up from Newlyn, but you won’t get the views otherwise and we found an easier path along the tiny back roads. Had no issues picking up the keys or during our stay so didn’t need to contact our host. We made the most of the buses that go regularly into Mousehole and Penzance bus station, from there you can take a connecting bus onto Marazion or anywhere else in the area. Local co-op in Newlyn so rather than doing a weekly shop we just popped in there to pick up a few things we needed as we went. Shops are full of pottery and artwork… a little pricey but they are often bespoke pieces so up to the individual to decide on value… We drove to Cornwall so used the parking space at the house and were grateful for the option to turn the car around on the grounds of the old School house opposite avoiding the need to reverse up a hill when going out. Lovely gardens just up the road called Trewidden serving the best lunch of the trip… including local Newlyn crab salad. Dukes in Newlyn also serves really good food and drinks.

+Aussicht +Lage +Ausstattung +Sauberkeit Klitzekleines Minus ist die Anfahrt mit einem großer Auto. Wir haben immer bei den Nachbarn gewendet und trotzdem war es eng. Aber machbar.

This property was perfect we had a lovely weeks stay the house is beautiful and the view is beautiful we spent many hours sitting outside watching the boats and the sea even though it was the end of October it was still nice . Wonderful holiday

Port View is a lovely house, very comfortable, with everything you would need. It has the.most amazing views over the harbour. Watching all the boats coming and going is really lovely.

Port View

Property aptly named with great view of the port.Very clean, plenty of room and well equipped. Car parking space a real bonus. Owner very helpful and easy to contact. Pleasant and easy walk along the sea front to Penzance. Would readily return to the property and highly recommend.

Great base with great view

Fantastic viewing the port when sitting at the table or from our bedroom balcony (or even when brushing your teeth in the bathroom!) - there was a lot of movement in and out while we stayed. Accommodation was well stocked especially in the kitchen. Saw some fantastic sunrises while in bed. Coastal walking was also spectacular even when hard going at times. Parking was challenging but doable (even with an estate car.) We had such a lovely holiday. Thank you.

nice stay

Port veiw was a nice place to stay in newlyn, the veiw overlooking the harbour was lovely, nice big spacious house, decorated very well throughout. On the down side the cleanliness could have been improved with a closer inspection the mattress cover in the main bedroom had stains, when patting and straightening cushions in the living room there was alot dust coming off them. We re wiped the kitchen ourselves and the cloth came up dirty, it also didnt mention in the description about the steep hill you havto drive up and down to park but once you get used to it it's not a problem. Overall we enjoyed our stay, just a couple things that could of been improved on.

Good Afternoon. Thankyou for your review of Port View. I was pleased to read that you liked the house and the position overlooking Newlyn Harbour and that overall you enjoyed your stay. I was absolutely mortified to read your comments regarding the mattress protector, cushions and kitchen as we have never had guests make comment on cleanliness before. I have discussed with my housekeeper and we will continue to maintain our usual high standards and have made note of your concerns. I can only apologise for your disappointment and wish that you had mentioned to me when I came to introduce myself on the 17th August and asked if everything was okay and you said Yes. The directions I sent you on the 11th August says that Port View is at the bottom of a narrow road. Cornish villages are full of small roads leading to properties, parking is an absolute premium, again we have not had comment on that before either. I hope I have addressed your comments, they have been noted and actioned. Kind regards Jill
