The location was excellent and we appreciated the large kitchen and table for our group. The washer and dryer were great since we were halfway through our stay in Ireland. The check in and check out process was straightforward and we were able to park our cars in front of the house. Highly recommend the town and the house!

Excellent location close to the centre of Cobh & just a 25 minute train ride into Cork. The property was clean & comfortable overall but a couple of our party mentioned that their bed was extremely noisy whenever they moved which effected their sleep. Other than that, we had no complaints & were even able to check in early as the property was ready for us.

This location is great and within walking distance to all the main attractions in Cobh. I would just suggest that anyone that has physical limitations be aware of the very steep hill and note that some of the bedrooms are at the top of three flights of stairs. The hosts were so welcoming and inviting, and they always made sure we had everything we needed.

Staying at this property was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The charm and quirks of this house were so sweet. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated, clean and well equipped. Patrick was so helpful throughout our stay. Thank you for hosting us!

Family trip

Met for a family reunion trip and had a wonderful time in Cobh. House was brilliant and well located. Had everything we needed and would thoroughly reccomend.

Family time

My family and I absolutely loved our time here. The house was perfect for our large group and very comfortable. We loved the town as well. Everyone was extremely welcoming and very kind to us! We had a great time staying here in Cobh, and will be back!

Great location

This house was perfect for our group of 7. We had plenty of room and all slept comfortably. The location was perfect and central to all that Cobh has to offer.

Great place to stay

Great location just a short walk to the waterfront and all the shops and restaurants/pins there. Host was very responsive and provided insights on grocery stores and pubs in area. Would definitely visit Cobh again and house is a great spot to do so. Just know you will get your exercise in walking back up the hill from town, but it is worth it.

A very nice property!

My family of 10 stayed here (half of us for two nights) and found the house to be exactly as described. The house was clean, accomodating, and within walking distance of pubs, food and views of the water. Patrick was a wonderful host and Cobh was a beautiful stop on our travels. We would stay again!

great location

the heating turned off even though we had the boost on, and there was no hot water for half of our stay. however, the location, uniqueness, and beauty of the house made up for the discomforts of our stay.

Perfect Location

We totally enjoyed our time in Cobh, and Our House In The Middle Of The Street was a great location to make it all happen. There was plenty of room for us, and the amenities provided helped make our stay comfortable. But please be aware that you will get your daily exercise on your returns from town.....

Cobh is a gem

Staying in an historic home in Cobh made the stay extra special. A beautiful view of St. Colman through the window. Very spacious. Loved the house. Loved the town. Listing as described.

Great location!

This was a great place for location. A couple small issues - the one bedroom only had curtains for privacy so was difficult for the ones that were in there to sleep if others were in the living area/kitchen. Also, doesn't have much in supplies, so make sure to pick up paper towels and other basics. But the location was a great base.

Location location location

An extremely unique home with great views, location is a five minute walk from the waterfront and everything Cobh has to offer, which is a lot. Didn’t appreciate the slope of the street but knew about that going in and it’s part of its character. Host got back to us promptly and had some great insights for us too.

great location needs updates

Perfect location to walk to all to see in Cobh. Kitchen great. A few small updates will make this place great. Carpet to upstairs worn and dirty. Bed frames need to be changed. Mattresses and pillows are fine

Historic Home

The check-in was easy, we were easily able to locate the key. The kitchen was obviously updated recently. My only complaint is, the upstairs shower and sink do not drain well, the floors have been sanded and that’s all. When you walk barefoot or in socks, your feet snag on slivers of wood. The bed on the second floor is not comfortable, it sags to the middle and every time you move, it makes noise. There is one couch That seats 3 people, and one chair in the small living room, there is a double bed in the room. There is a large kitchen table that seats about 6 people. The house is in a great location, but on the side of a steep hill. The town is cute and good little restaurants nearby, within walking distance.

Family Trip June 2024

Our group of 5 stayed in the house for 3 days and really enjoyed our stay. It was a great location and the house was as described. Only 2 complaints. 1-the beds/mattresses were all very thin/lumpy/noisy - made for not great sleep. 2-we originally booked for 10 people, or 2 families. However, 1 family backed out, leaving only 5 people. I messaged the owner to ask about the charge for additional people to see if it could be removed and never got a response. We wanted to stay in the house so we kept the reservations, but feel that we should not have had to pay that fee.
