Bigfoot Trail Cabin is located southwest of Florissant,just 32 miles west of Colorado Springs. 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY MAY 15---OCT 31 (PEAK SEASON/SUMMER). It is not rented out November 1st through May 14th.

Elevation: 8345 feet.

Cabin Size: 550 square feet on one level.

Beds and Sleeping: one queen size bed with pillow-top mattress, cotton sheets, one full-size futon, one single futon; sleeps five maximum.

Bathroom: one full with tub and shower.

Electric: standard electric power.

Heat: electric heat/wood-burning stove.

Water: cistern.

Special Features: Long private circular driveway off cul-de-sac, beautiful wooded lot with over one acre of tall pine trees. The cabin has hardwood floors, log furniture, wood-burning stove, WIFI Internet, DVD Player, 42 inch HD flat screen television with satellite , fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, flat top stove, microwave, propane barbeque grill, hot tub with colored lights and waterfall, hammock in the trees, hanging double swing, and table with chairs on large front porch. Deer, hummingbirds and other wildlife abound in this natural,quiet setting. Pet friendly with dog run. Friendly dogs are allowed at no extra charge. You can walk down past Wilson Lake, but using it is not allowed.

I enjoyed a restful couple of days at this cabin. There are other cabins around, but it still felt secluded. My pup and I took a walk toward the little lake nearby every morning, 1 mile round-trip. Communication with the host was great!

This is a nice little cabin for two. Don’t expect luxury but if you want to be close to fishing at Eleven Mile Canyon it works! When we stayed the TV wasn’t working but host says she plans to replace it soon.

Very Peaceful!

It was such a perfect getaway for a wonderfully quiet NYE ! Absolutely loved the hot tub, especially the stars in the area (pitch black) and didn’t hear anything or anyone else during the trip. Would absolutely suggest as a great getaway!

Clean and Cozy

Property had everything we needed for a stay. Grill and hot tub were great. Bed was comfy and so was the nice futon. Enjoyed the colorado cabin decor and the peacefulness.

Bigfoot secluded cabin

Location was excellent. Very secluded. Cabin was small but clean. Hot tub was a great touch! Great communication from host.

Perfect Property for Us

This sweet cabin had everything we needed for a long wedding weekend. We grilled and had dinner on the front porch, we could let the dog out in the fenced back when he needed a short potty trip and the hot tub was amazing! It was very quiet and peaceful. And the neighborhood is beautiful and close to everything - we even explored the Fossil Beds only 10 minutes away!

Peaceful in the Pines

Great secluded cabin. So quiet. Nice not to be too far from the little Mercantile in town for supplies - nice people and reasonable. Fossil Visitor Center was so interesting! And the Platte River is beautiful. Went to 11 Mile Reservoir and wished we could have kayaked. Our stay went so fast.

Peaceful place

Bigfoot Cabin was perfection! Great location, still within a neighborhood but secluded and quiet. Came with snow on the ground so definitely needed the 4 wheel drive to enter the driveway. Bed was really comfortable along with the futon in the living room. Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals.

Awesome little Cabin in the woods!

We so enjoyed our stay! The cabin was perfect, just as described! The hot tub was ready when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and we had absolutely everything we needed! The neighborhood as quite and extremely peaceful. The hammock and front porch were my favorite place to read and relax! Absolutely loved it! We pray blessings over it!

Colorado 2023 trip

Cute little cabin in a cul-da-sac. We enjoyed the quietness after a long day of riding trails. The only things that we didn’t like was the bed room was a little small, the water in the tank had a weird smell to it and not able to get local news channels but overall it was doable.

Bigfoot Cabin late October

I arrived later than I intended on my check-in day, but I lit a fire in the wood stove, put my groceries away, and then soaked in the hot tub for about an hour. The peace and quiet is unmatched at the cabin. The bed was quite comfortable, as was the porch swing. I am already trying to figure out when I can go back again.

This cozy little cabin was perfect for my husband and I (and our 2 dogs) to have had the pleasure of staying.It was close enough to home yet far enough away from everyone :)It's clean, it's quite, the Host was responsive with a dumb question I had lolThe only question I have now is...?Is it going to be booked up the next time we want to stay??We would 100% book this cabin again.Thank You Jody!

This cabin was exactly what I was looking for, something a little out of the way to just be able to relax. The hot tub was great, and the property was so pretty with the treed yard, while there were neighbors close it did not seem like that. The propane grill was great to cook up a bunch of food for the weekend without heating up the house too much (it was hot & muggy the weekend I stayed, even up at elevation), and the front porch was nice to sit and relax. Anything needed for the grill or the kitchen was available.It was not far from a Wild Horses Cafe where there was excellent coffee and pizza with a great view, and additionally it was very accessible to Colorado Springs/Pikes Peak/Manitou Incline without having to stay right in the hustle and bustle. Also just down the road was Florissant, which had a convenience store with anything necessities. Jody the host was very easy to communicate with and made sure to let us know she is available if anything is needed. But for us, everything we needed was there and we had a lovely, relaxing stay.

I am originally from Southern Minnesota, but have lived in Colorado Springs almost 50 years. I love it here. The weather is better than almost anywhere. You almost never have a whole day without sunshine.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

I like the Wilson Lakes subdivision because it is situated between Florissant and Lake George. It is not far from Eleven Mile Reservoir and the Platte river for fishing. Also, my cabin is on a nice, pretty flat lot that can be hard to find in the mountains.

My cabin has a long, circular driveway in a cul-de-sac, which makes it very private. It is full of pines trees with birds, squirrels, mule deer, elk, and sometimes a bear every few years. I have never seen one there yet in 24 years.
