Plus some great things to do also, especially liking the vineyard bit and the closeness of the beaches at Canet de Rousillion. The dinosaur museum is only 4 kms away too, in the next town. I believe that you have to see the views from the Villa, and on the approach roads to fully appreciate how beautiful it is. The weather you had, even with a thunderstorm, which is amazing in itself, would have delighted you too. We have done our best currently to make it a "home from home", with the facilities, layout, equipment and utensils etc, to make it feel like you live there, and are not just on holiday. I guess its what we would want to see and experience if we were to holiday there. Yes, the welcome food pack and the Info pack, are key to settling in quickly. I'm glad you appreciated them. Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire, la piscine est certainement une grande attraction pour les enfants et les adultes. On peut y passer de nombreuses heures de plaisir. Visiter les sites d'intérêt locaux est une excellente façon d'explorer les environs, le voyage peut être aussi amusant, avec des vues magnifiques, que la destination elle-même. It is true, February is a bit too cold to be using the pool unfortunately, but in the summer, it is a great place for the family to be, it's a welcome retreat from the sun. Natalie, Many thanks for your review, it sounds like you had an amazing time. Your description of the location, the Villa, the scenery the activities, is so true. Its hard sometimes to explain to others, what you have experienced, but I think you may have done a better job than me. You don't know how pleased I am that you managed to get the teenagers and the toddler entertained at the same time. Its true about the pool also, the pictures don't seem to give the full impression of the size. Needless to say its big. I can't agree more, the drive from anywhere to Granes, on the normal roads, or even more so, on the smaller roads is breathtaking. Merci Delphine, pour ton avis positif sur notre Villa. Nous sommes tous les deux heureux que vous et votre famille ayez apprécié votre séjour, et que la Villa ait répondu à vos attentes initiales. J'ai noté les points que vous avez soulevés et je suis d'accord que fournir de l'équipement de cuisine supplémentaire pour les grands groupes est une bonne idée. Je dois aussi admettre que le manque de DVD français est un oubli de ma part, et nous corrigerons cela pour les prochains invités. J'ai demandé des éclaircissements sur ce qui n'était pas «très propre», et vous avez constaté que certains des ustensiles de cuisine semblaient ne pas être suffisamment propres et qu'ils étaient maculés. J'ai identifié cela comme résidu de calcaire de l'eau dure que nous avons fourni à la maison. Nous avons remarqué cela nous-mêmes. La réponse est de sécher les pots / casseroles avec une serviette sèche, avant de les ranger. Le résidu n'est pas visible sur d'autres ustensiles, seulement les brillants. Et, ce n'est définitivement pas nocif. Nous aborderons ceci sur notre programme de nettoyage. Cependant, nous revoyons toujours la façon dont nous présentons la propriété et nous nous efforcerons toujours de la présenter de la meilleure façon possible. Many thanks Liam, for your positive review of your stay at the Villa. You certainly chose a good week to holiday here, it was late October, and the weather was amazing if I recall correctly. The quaint little towns that you mention, are indeed so different to what we see in England, and the tranquillity they bring, and the curiosity they arouse, is what holidaying is all about. Such a contrast to our normal lives. During your stay, you were able to see the ongoing re-development of the garden/pergolas/pool/BBQ and sun lounging area, which as you say, spikes the interest for future vacations in 2018. I am pleased to say that this refurbishment is now completed, internally and externally, it looks amazing, and I can't wait to publish an updated portfolio of pictures in mid February 2018 to demonstrate this. Thank you Fiona, I'm so glad you enjoyed your time there. It's good to hear, that the villa description is accurate, and that you like the arrangements internally. The refurbishment has added to the internal profile, with some additional extras, to make it feel like home too. Wifi, and a SMART TV have been connected since you were there. I remember now that you undertook the scenic route to the beach, from memory its a pretty dramatic drive through the mountains and a real test of your driving skills. You and your family chose to holiday at the villa, just after we purchased it and before we started the refurbishment.
