Lynn & Nigel were amazing hosts. We arrived to an immaculate, warm holiday home with all the amenities. We especially loved the fire and hot tub. if i could give the place 6 stars, I would!

February half term break

This is a fantastic place for a family holiday. The furnishings, kitchen & bathrooms are all high quality, and the barn was a lovely, cosy place to come back to after a long walk in the surrounding countryside. Lynn & Nigel are fantastic hosts and made us feel really welcome, and the hot meal waiting for us on the Friday night when we arrived was really appreciated. We hope to return to the barn very soon.

Amazing converted barn with hot tub and wonderful hosts

We couldn’t fault a thing. It was a perfect stay. Immaculate accommodation, the most welcoming hosts who went out their way to make sure we had a fab holiday. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and a fabulous hot tub!

The perfect stay!

It’s hard to put into words how amazing this property is - it has literally everything you could ever want, and more! This was our second stay at the barn, and we came for a short break for our Wedding Anniversary. Lynn and Nigel are just about to be nicest people you could ever meet, and could not have done more for us. The barn is stunning, immaculately clean and the most beautiful location. Every detail in making the stay perfect is there, from the wonderful arrival meal prepared for our arrival to the homemade bread and breakfast basket. The hot tub was a godsend especially after a over ambitious walk through the Manifold Valley - a leg killer for someone not used to it walking but beautiful scenery and don’t regret it at all. This property has literally everything and looking forward to visiting again in the not so distant future. This property trumps any other stay in the UK, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely lovely

Would definitely recommend a stay in this converted barn. The property was beautiful and spotlessly clean and the hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful.

Fantasticly faultless.....

This is an outstanding property. From a delishes dinner and wine on arrival to the glorious breakfast basket and home made ginger cake on our final evening....amazing comfortable beds, wonderful hot tub and brilliant facilities. We will definitely be back!

Perfect getaway location with wonderful hosts

Nigel & Lynn have thought of everything. Beautiful Friday eve supper waiting for us in the slow cooker on arrival, table set with linen napkins. Greeted with fresh farm eggs, bottle of wine, homemade preserves. Accommodation is spacious, super-clean. Top quality bed linen & towels, dressing gowns and slippers, towels for use with hot tub. Then Nigel arrived with a smile and homemade ginger cake. We will definitely be returning.

absolutely fantastic 5*

We couldn't have asked for better accommodation, Ford Old Hall Barn is finished to a very high standard and the kitchen in particular is superb - everything is provided and well thought out. Lynn and Nigel are wonderful hosts who provided a very warm welcome with a tasty evening meal and wine (which was perfect after a long journey) and milk in the fridge for a much needed cup of tea, home baked bread and preserves and a home made cake which had been especially iced with my son's initial - these extra touches made this holiday stand out above all others, we would definitely recommend it and would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Lynn and Nigel.

Comfort, comfort, comfort

We took a short stay at the end March/early April. We have stayed at the Barn before. It really as is described in the promotional material. Lynn & Nigel have made every attention to detail and offer a luxurious facility that is extremely comfortable. The welcoming meal was a very nice touch after the long drive north. The hot tub - spotlessly clean - was fantastic to ease away the aches from the day's walking in the Peaks. Well done Lynn & Nigel - lovely people with a lovely Barn and great service - we'll return again!

"Outstanding accommodation in a perfect location"

Stayed for 3 nights with my partner & young son - wonderful welcome with home cooked food and a bottle of wine. The barn conversion is outstanding with exceptional attention to detail & to the very highest standard. The hot tub is really clean & well maintained & it is clear that Nigel & Lynn (the owners) take great pride in the standard of their accommodation. The barn is perfectly placed to explore the Peak District. We did Alton Towers & Chatsworth House which we thought were great. If you are looking for high end accommodation with a personal touch this is the place to be. We will definitely be going back.

"This place is wonderful! Exceptional hospitality"

Gorgeous barn, cosy, warm & comfortable, 5 star all the way! It's so nice to find somewhere so clean & a finish to such a high standard. The little personal touches (robes, cake, bubbly, cards, welcome etc) made us enjoy our stay even more. The hot tub is amazing! You can really see how much time & love (& money!) has been put into this place & it made our stay worth every penny! Ford Old Hall Barn will always be very special to us, keep doing what you are doing Lynn & Nigel, you have a fabulous, beautiful barn in a lovely location. We will definitely be visiting again...
