We had a wonderful stay! Great base to explore but we were equally happy enjoying the pool and beautiful views from the house.

We're delighted you enjoyed our home and the region Ben. As you say its a great base for seeing the riches the Dordogne has to offer- castles, markets, restaurants, canoeing etc as well as resting on the terrace and by the pool.

Excellent stay in a wonderful location

We had a great week at this property. The adults and children all loved the pool. There was plenty of space for everyone, with comfortable beds and a good ratio of bathrooms. The kitchen had a good deal of equipment and tableware. We particularly enjoyed BBQing and eating outdoors with wonderful views. The house is quietly located, yet remains near to local amenities.

Exceeded expectations

Lovely home, well equipped, comfortable , quiet, great location. The owners went out of their way to welcome us. Just wish we were able to stay longer. There is a really handy book in the house with useful tips such as the best bakery , where to go for canoeing, markets, restaurants etc. Highly recommend this place.

St Cyprian

A wonderful location on a wooded hillside with amazing views. Everything you need for a family holiday, plenty of bathrooms and toilets!. Large kitchen and comfortable lounge. A very good swimming pool and plenty of outsider areas. Friendly and accessible British owners with local manager. Extremely private and quiet rustic hideaway, yet near to amenities.

Super holiday in welcoming home with lovely pool

The property has plenty of charm and has been very well landscaped with a terrace with lovely aspect and plenty of sun and shade and a beautiful and very clean pool. Great to have a bathroom for everybody. Location is very easy and close to everything you could want from the Dordogne in terms of towns, chateaux, the river, delicious food shops but is also very peaceful. Very well equipped kitchen and many thoughtful touches.

Also that you found Le Roudet well located for trips out, yet peaceful and private. That's what we love about it too.

Wonderful stay in the heart of Dordogne

We had a lovely stay in this house with an amazing and clean swimming pool. The garden is huge and surrounded by the forest. Our children had a lot of fun running around. The kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook and enjoy barbecue in the shade of the wisteria. The location is perfect with the beautiful villages and chateaux in less than 10 minutes by car. The river and canoe boats are down the hill across the main road so it was perfect!

Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely week. The pool was perfect - and even larger than the photos suggest, perfect for getting lengths in! The house was very well equipped - like a home away from home. It also stayed cool inside, even on the hottest of days. A wonderful location, and I will never forget the hot air balloons - they were magic! Merci!

Tranquilité et superbe piscine

Très bon séjour. Maison perdu a flan de Coline. Superbe emplacement et très belle piscine. Pas de contact direct avec la propriétaire mais tout est parfaitement organisé.

Prachtige vakantiewoning

Heerlijke vakantie gehad met de familie om de trouwdag van mijn ouders te vieren. Het huis en keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. het zwembad was heerlijk en hebben we dan ook goed gebruik van gemaakt. Het huis ligt en op een prachtige centrale plek om uitstapjes te maken .

Très mauvaise expérience au regard du prix

Il nous a fallu faire 5 heures de ménages avant de pouvoir poser nos valises en arrivant tant la maison était sale. L’intérieur semble à l’abandon : meubles, literies, electro-menager, tout est vieux, poussiéreux, dans un état extrêmement désagréable. Le taux d’humidité est phénoménale. Le prix de la location est donc une aberration.

We are really sorry this was your experience Anthony. Covid has prevented us from visiting our second home for over 2 years, but in spring 2022 we’ll be continuing our renovation programme. We’ve never had such a dissatisfied guest and we're committed to ensuring we never do again.

Superbe séjour en Dordogne.

La propriété est magnifique, très bien située par rapport aux lieux attractifs de la région, à proximité, tout en restant au calme de la campagne. La propreté en revanche était limite, il s'agit d'une maison ancienne qui mériterait un bon coup de nettoyage et de rénovation. Surtout par rapport au prix de la location. Mais nous gardons un très bon souvenir de ces vacances. Nous recommandons cette location.

Thanks. We think our home’s magnificent too! The views, the peace, the privacy and the comfort. With 2 new ensuites done, we’re sensitively updating our 18th century farmhouse and constantly review our cleaning system.
