Historic Savannah CarriageHouse Park & Walk to All

This 2-story carriage house has its own private parking spot right by the door! Great location at the top of Forsyth Park behind a grand mansion on Gaston Street. A Queen size bed is upstairs, along with the bathroom. There is a TV in the bedroom. Downstairs you will find a compact full kitchen, dining table and cable TV. Due to the stairs this unit is not recommended for anyone with a small child or for the elderly/infirm.

​​​​​​​The washer and dryer guests may use while staying here is shared, located in the ground level utility room of the owner's main house in front of this carriage house.

For additional vehicles, parking is on-street and spots are easy to find at this location. Meters are handled via the "Park Savannah" app or with a 'Visitors Parking Day Pass' available to cover all day/night parking for travelers. This can be purchased from the Visitors Center on MLK, the Parking Services office on Bryan. Check with the City of Savannah for current pricing on Day Pass purchases. Within one block there is non-metered parking for those who prefer not to pay.

5/5 Great Stay Near Forsyth ParkWe really enjoyed our stay at this carriage house. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Forsyth Park and close to everything we wanted to do. Parking is a bit tight, but that’s expected in Savannah’s older historic areas, and it was still very convenient to have a reserved spot.The place was comfortable and the host communicated well. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Historic area

Property very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to parks and historical sites. The stairs going up to the second floor to the bedroom are quite steep which was the only drawback to this property. Would stay here again.

The carriage house is perfect place for two people. The location is great. It was quite and safe

Park and Walk!

We had a wonderful visit to Savannah. Staying in the Carriage House was a bonus because of the quant property and closeness to the historic district. We are hoping to make another trip. Thank you!

Quick little staycation

Walking distance to historic downtown Savannah very clean comfortable carriage house. It is in a alley so a bit tricky to find but the directions given were clear and worked out. I would and will use again.

Quaint Property

Property is in a great location for walking all over Savannah. It was nice to have off street parking. Unit was clean and comfortable. This property is great for one or two adults. Communication with the property management company was great. Had a minor issue and it was resolved within an hour. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice Location

The space was clean as stared in vrbo description of the property. The most surprise was the depth of the stairs to get up to the bedroom. The sofa needs to be replaced its a total sink in . The location was key, we were able to walk everywhere with a breeze . Overall it was worth the money .

Great location in historical Savannah area. Clean carriage house!

Carriage house was close to everything so we walked everywhere. Used provided parking spot and never moved our vehicle. Home was clean though the stairs were a bit steep for 2 retired people but we got used to them quickly. The bed was quite comfy! Perfect for coffee and breakfast though so many good restaurants we ate out a lot but kitchen would work for cooking. Enjoyed this property!

Delightful!

This place is absolutely delightful! The perfect size for the two of us, cozy and well decorated. Very easy check in and out and the location was superb in relation to all of the walking we wanted to do. We did not rent a car and planned to walk everywhere. It was well within walking distance of River Street, the tours, museums and restaurants. We will definitely plan to return and if it's just my husband and I, we will book here again. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Just right to see the city!

Perfect location to walk just about anywhere. Stayed 3 nights - and mostly ate out -enjoying all Savannah has to offer. A hop to beautiful Forsythe Park. Had to work during the day - WiFi worked perfect for me- I will say- no real chair comfort space for working - which proved to encourage me to get done and get out - The space is very comfortable /clean and just the right size for the 2 of us. Loved the bed- and both slept well - very quiet! Highly recommend -especially if your goal is to walk the city!

Misleading

I was expecting a bright and cozy accommodation. This property was dark, dank and rundown. There was also an odor in the unit.

Overall good stay but a few things

When we arrived the key code was already entered on the lock. I didn’t feel too great about the security of that. The place was pretty clean so that was good. My biggest complaint was that we were given ONE washcloth for two people for a three day stay. Other than that it was adequate and it was nice to have a parking spot.

Cute and well-situated property

We had a comfortable three-night stay in this cute carriage house. It is super well-located—you can walk to everything in the downtown area, and the parking space is a great bonus, though anything larger than a medium-size car will have a hard time fitting in. The bed is quite comfortable and the downstairs is cozy. The kitchenette includes two basket-drip coffee makers of different sizes. AC worked well, though the upstairs unit had apparently been affected by moisture—possibly from Helene—and seemed a bit musty. Downstairs kitchen sink has handles installed backwards (open tap by pushing back, rather than forward), and upstairs bathtub has hot on right and cold on left, but otherwise a wonderful and charming place, well-situated and comfortable.
