Amazing place right on the beach

Amazing place right on the beach, nice view, clean, and most importantly, the host is amazing! We were greeted in person and given many good tips in exploring the neighborhood. The restaurant downstairs (Bio) is very good too. We are looking forward to visit again!

Perfect location!

Very proactive communication from Maria , lovely clean apartment, lots of restaurants within walking distance, easy to get to, easy to access. (Instructions given in advance are perfect).

Cosy Apartment With a Great Terrace

Very good apartment in an excellent location for Cala Marcal & Porto Colom. The beach is right on your doorstep and Porto Colom is a pleasant stroll away. The apartment is cosy and had everything we needed and Maria was always very helpful and timely with responses to our queries and questions. We had a lovely week at Cala Marcal

Nice location and a good view

Overall a very good location with nice restaurants and a very good beach access. The flat is well represented in the picture, the kitchen is fairly small and mostly adequate for small preparation. The kitchen ustensiles as such would benefit from being refreshed for some of them. Otherwise the bathroom is really clean and new, and the bed rooms are functional.

As other reviewers have noted, the view of the beach from the apartment is fantastic. But a good rental is more than a view. We do not recommend this place for families with young children. The apartment sits above bars and restaurants that blast loud music past 1AM — a real problem with young kids. But if you like to party late into the night, join in the fun.More seriously, the AC unit, which is advertised as an amenity, was broken before we arrived — a fact confirmed by the owner's own electrician, who said it had been non-functional for some time. We had no air conditioning for our entire 5-night stay during a European heatwave. Because we had to keep windows open to stay cool, our 1-year-old was badly bitten by mosquitoes, and the nighttime noise made sleep nearly impossible for our children.When we raised the issue, the owner was slow to act and later changed her story about what happened. VRBO ultimately issued us a substantial refund over the owner's objections — which says something in itself.The view is real. So is everything else.

“Dear Youshaa, I have been renting my apartment for 18 years, and this is the first time I have received a negative review. From the moment you arrived, it was clear that you were looking for a financial compensation to have a free holiday. The air conditioning, in fact, was working on the day of your arrival, as there were other guests who checked out the same day, and the AC was operational up to that point. It is possible that it broke due to misuse, as you kept the windows open and the AC at 16 degrees, or it could simply have broken, as these things sometimes happen. As soon as you informed me, I sent a technician immediately and chose the fastest solution, which was to replace the air conditioning with a new one. In the meantime, while it was being replaced, I offered you a portable AC, which you declined, as for you, a compensation was more important. And regarding the noise you mentioned, no one has ever complained about the noise; many families with children have stayed. The only thing is that you went on the night of San Juan, and it is a special night, so perhaps you heard a bit of noise. I regret your experience, but I believe you were a professional complainer from the start, seeking compensation and a free holiday.”

Lovely holiday

We really enjoyed our stay in Maria's comfortable flat which is in an ideal position overlooking the bay at Cala Marcal. The view from the balcony shown on the website is even better when there and we saw some beautiful sunrises. The flat has a living room opening out onto the large balcony, 2 good sized bedrooms and bathroom and all is very clean. There was always parking available on the street outside the flat when we were there in April. The beach is easily accessible down 2 flights of stairs from the flat, very convenient. Also several restaurants were open nearby including a new one right next door, El Baul, which we can highly recommend and went there most nights. Maria is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English.

A wonderful week on the sea !

Lovely view of the sea, as the apartment sits right above Cala Marçal. Apartment was comfortable and worked well for my husband, (son) and I. Loved the big terrace. Below there a lot going on with restaurants but the chatter was no problem and they played good music (we work in music business and the music was very tasty coking from restaurants) . We ate all restaurants around the apartment (except missed the one across street because it was so full with locals). However our favorite dinners were right across the sand, barefoot on beaches. More pricey than I hoped but delicious and the service and food were fabulous! Maria was excellent at communicating and no problem with the apartment. The only issue we had was our time (a week) felt too short to fully immerse into beach vibe but also explore some of the island. We enjoyed it all!

Cosy, perfect stay at Maria's apartment

Maria was very patient since we had a little delay with the scooter from the airport to her property. She was very very kind, offered us a beer on arrival and explained everything we needed to know for the area around her place. It is a very cosy and clean apartment, and the bathroom was completely renewed, which isn't on the pictures yet, a really wonderful suprise! We were a little worried because of the wind and no sun in the afternoon on the terrace, but the mornings were so sunny and great on the terrace and afterwards you have sun all day on the beach! There are a few restaurants around that are walking distance, a few little shops and by car or by scooter you can get anywhere very easily, also for parking (we stayed in April). We would definitely recommend the stay as a couple or with kids, it has everything you need for a wonderful holiday! A big thanks again to Maria, it's a real pleasure to have met her!

Vivienda en primera línea de playa y bien acondicionada

La recepción fue cuando nosotras llegamos a la cala, lo que fue estupendo. La casa estaba limpia y había ropa de cama y toallas para las 5. El aire acondicionado enfriaba la casa enseguida. Lo único es que no había aparcamiento propio ni wifi, pero por lo demás estupendo.

Wir wurden von der Gastgeberin schon früher sehr herzlich empfangen. Ihre Tipps für den Aufenthalt waren unbezahlbar. Die Wohnung hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Es war alles was wir benötigten vorhanden.Die Poolbar ist der Hammer.Wir kommen wieder !

Hébergement sur la plage au deuxième étage avec grande terrasse surplombant la crique. La seule critique qui n’a rien à voir avec l'appartement, la rue est sale. Sinon super.

Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage, es fand sich immer ein Parkplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Vermieterin ist super nett. Der große Balkon mit Sonne am Morgen ist super.

Mooi appartement op een fantastische plek!

Liefdevol en enthousiast ontvangen door de host Maria in haar prachtige appartement, vlakbij Cala Marcal. Het appartement heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en de omgeving ook. Heerlijke restaurantjes onder het appartement, supermarkt in de buurt en in de omgeving veel mooie dingen te zien en te beleven. Aanrader!
