The best option by far
When we were booking our holidays, we searched for a quiet and peaceful place, a beautiful location, not far from interesting places to visit and with motivating gastronomy. And the Gite du Paradis more than meets all these expectations. We spent two weeks there, and we would have stayed forever.
The house is very well equipped and the garden is stunning and huge. There is a very special place on it to sit and read, and watch quietly how the daylight dims and the first stars show in the sky. About the sky, it is so clean and clear, that every night you could spend hours just by gazing the Milky Way.
The close surroundings are beautiful. Vieuzos is located on top of a hill, with lots of nearby farms and nice woods to walk around. There is so much natural life around that the chances of spotting wild animals, such as deers or birds of prey, are very high.
From Vieuzos there are many places to visit within a radius of 1h by car. A “must-see” is the beach at the Lac de la Gimone, especially when the sun is setting. The light coming from the sun is so beautiful and the place so special that makes you feel as if time had stopped. And there are also many beautiful cities with a lot history behind and good restaurants. Pau, Toulouse, Condom, and many other small villages, are obliged visits.
Finally, Heather is a lovely person that cares for detail. She lives on the house next to the Gite, but she is very discreet, although she is always there if you need her. We will miss her!
There is no doubt we will go back in the future.
