This spacious cabin is located in close proximity to El Vado and Heron Lakes. Mutliple families and kid friendly! Located approximately 25 minutes south of Chama this location is ideal for enjoying the lakes and the Chama region. Wildlife abundant, with deer, elk, turkey, and more. This 3200+ sq. ft., 4 bedroom, 3 bath, comfortably sleeps 10-12, with couches and air mattresses if more beds are needed.
We bought this home as our family loves the area and all it offers in the region and outdoors close by. We want others to enjoy getting away to this beautiful area and have an affordable place to stay while they explore, relax, and have fun new family/friend adventures.
This home has new appliances, outdoor grill, Jacuzzi hot tub/ play room with a Ping-Pong table. The master bedroom offers a king bed and futon. 2nd upstairs bdrm. has a queen bed. Lower rooms: one has queen and the other has one queen and a bunk bed with full size mattresses on top and bottom. Kitchen dining table expands and has chairs for 10. Huge carport will fit multi. autos and the garage is also available as needed.

Wedding in Chama

Booked this house for our family to stay for my son's wedding, and it was perfect! So, beautiful, had everything we needed and more... The kids (17-25) absolutely loved the game room, it was a huge hit, and I loved the hot tub! Would love to book again!

Clean and welcoming

We enjoyed our stay with our family. The cabin is dated and has some quirks to it. There are many light switches that you have to figure out. The upstairs was hot and was told to crack the windows and turn the swamp cooler on which worked somewhat but the windows don't stay open and some don't have screens. The backdoor screen was half way torn off. The upstairs master shower door is broken and the hot/cold water are touchy. The mud room and game room had a weird smell to it but could be because the cabin might have been closed for awhile before we showed up. We did a load of towels in the washer and the washer started leaking due to a crack in the seal of the washer. The hot tub water wasn't too clear. We didn't have a day pass to the lakes. The beds were comfy and clean. We enjoyed the games in the game room. And enjoyed seeing deer on the property. We liked being able to have a fire in the fire pit in the evening one night and made smores outside. Overall it was good to stay there with minor issues. Thanks for sharing your cabin.

FAMILY VACATION

The cabin was clean and roomy. There was only one air conditioner and the weather was hot.....we were not able to use any of the bedrooms upstairs because of the heat. The jets in the jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom did not work. All but one light was out in the playroom and the bedroom off of the carport had wolf spiders. With all of that said, we did enjoy the rental.

This was a great mid-point gathering place for family from two states. The large home provided plenty of space for several activities at once and the game room was a big hit!

Just what we needed!!!

We spent Memorial Day weekend at the cabin and it was the best way to spend the holiday. This is my second time staying here and this was with a different group, and both times we have really enjoyed our break from life. Can not wait to come back.

Large Rustic cabin

Large lovely property worked well for family trip. The location near Heron lake was perfect for lake activities. Easy checkin, great communication from owner. Game room was a hit!!!!!!!

Great stay! Beautiful view! Lots of room!

It was a nice stay and fit our family of 14 beautifully. The large covered patio was awesome for our gatherings, and the game room and hot tub were excellent. The rustic decor added to the cabin feel. Swamp coolers were not able to keep up with the high 90 degree temperatures so the first night was miserably hot but the next two nights were tolerable with the fans that were provided. Upstairs windows had to be left open and the screens let some gnats and moths in but were easy enough to get rid of. Kids weren’t too keen on no internet or cell service, but they survived. We would have had to drive to the lake in order to communicate with the owner. The DVD library was a hit to relax and watch a movie after a day at the lake. We loved roasting marshmallows for our s’mores in the front yard fire pit. Tons of parking and room for one of our trailers. Kitchen was well stocked and it was nice having a washer/dryer to clean the towels after our lake day. We all had a great time and would definitely come again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great Family Gathering Place

We get together as a family over the Forth of July weekend. This was perfect because no WiFi or cell service so the kids and adults were unplugged. Enjoyed train ride on Chama train near by. House had plenty of room to spread out plus the game room.

Father's Day Weekend Getaway

Loved staying at your cabin in the woods (that's what my nephews called it) during Father's Day weekend. The cabin had all the great features of being in nature but all the amenities of being at home. Loved the game room for kids and all of the space for my family of 8. Can't wait to rent it again.

Good for large group

Loved that the house held so many people. Nice quiet location with plenty of parking and living area. I cooked for the 3 days we were there. Crockpot (small for 7 people), waffle maker (accessory kitchen appliances) were not clean. I would not use. Pots/pans were fine. Loved that there was a grill! Utensils were small (i.e. forks looked like toddler forks). Dishwasher seemed to not use hot water so dishes were not clean after running. Over all, we liked staying there and would go back again!
