Location, location, location

I needed a place for a week and came across this gem. The pictures are a true glimpse into this place. Very comfy and well appointed. The bed is comfy. And my son stayed on the futon that was made up when I arrived. Plenty of towels.The subway is super close as well as so much in walking distance. I didn’t make restaurant reservations ahead so I could try some new places and just walked around until I found something and I was so happy with all my new finds. This was my first time not staying in a hotel in NYC and I will certainly stay here on my next visit.

Stay Here!

I am an actor at a Halloween attraction in the area and I needed a place to sublet for the month of October. This beautiful apartment in Tribeca was more comfortable than my own home. The pictures do not do it justice! Upon walking in I thought I had made a mistake as it is much larger than it appears on the website. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had great water pressure and hot water, the kitchen was well equipped, and the living room had all the comforts of home. There were more than enough linens, cleaning products. etc. and I never had to supplement my own. Also Jill was incredibly helpful and responded to any question or concern I had within the hour (including helping me work the tv remote). She gave me advanced warning the two times someone needed to stop by (once for the delivery of a new refrigerator, another time for more paper towels), and provided me with detailed instructions for check-in and check-out. Do not hesitate to stay here! You will not be disappointed. I’m already fantasizing about my future booking.

Spacious and comfortable one-bedroom loft style apartment

Let me start by saying that this apartment has many positive attributes...along with a few things that are somewhat less than ideal, but not necessarily "deal breakers." The significant positives include: -- Central Tribeca neighborhood with many great restaurants and cafes all-around, Franklin Street subway stop is also very close; -- Quiet street and quiet unit (other than some clanging noise from the heating pipes...); -- Very well equipped with explicit directions for relevant items & issues; -- Extra tall ceilings (I would estimate approx. 18 ft.) and large big windows that provide lots of light; -- Comfortable bed(s) & nice/comfortable furnishings; -- Spacious living area; -- Great water pressure in the shower and nice towels; -- Laundry access (no extra charge) right outside of the unit; -- Easy self check-in process. The issues to consider before renting: 1) There is a uniform heating system for the whole building (steam/radiator heat with old, exposed pipes from floor to ceiling) so you cannot control when the heat comes on or off as it is set by "New York City code." Both the building and the unit seem to retain a lot of heat so the place can become extremely warm & stuffy when the heat is on and the stairway to the building is insanely warm with the heat on. We had to keep a window open or run the A/C throughout our late April visit to "override" the heating situation, even with the radiators in the unit turned off. The pipes are also a bit noisy when the heat is on, though the heat is thankfully automatically turned off between 10 p.m to 6:00 a.m. as long as the temperature outside is above 40 degrees. 2) The loft-style nature of the unit means that the "bedroom" is only separated from the rest of the apartment by sliding opaque doors that provide visual privacy, but do not block sound or light as everything is still open to the ceiling. (This only matters should not everyone staying in the unit have the same sleep/wake routine.) 3) The internet is very slow -- not so good if you need to be online a lot for work during your stay. 4) Older building with a lot of "mustiness" outside of the unit itself. Definitely noticeable, but not a big deal. Overall, we very much enjoyed the spacious and comfortable feel of the apartment and the wonderful Tribeca location.

With nearly 200 glowing reviews over the past years I can only say that those are the most reassuring to us and to our many returning visitors who come back year to year. I hope this guest looks back fondly on what a wonderful space they had. This past April was quite cool in NY and I am glad the space was warm and comfy.

Great location!

Great location! As others have written, the location is great! Convenient to public transportation and great neighborhood restaurants and bars. Easy walking distance to Greenwich Village, SoHo, The Hudson River Park, etc. Jillian is a great host. We spent two weeks here and had a wonderful time. We recommend it, and would stay there again.

Perfect location , Clean , neat and tidy

The perfect place to enjoy NY. Convenient location with lovely restaurants nearby. Loved having my morning coffee on the window seat watching the world go by. Clean with all basic amenities provided. Highly recommended . We will definitely be back . Loved it !!!

Efficiently designed compact space, high ceilings, low street noise location

The missus as I and our teenage son were very impressed with the property. Nothing was amiss, and the owners organized everything impeccably. Subway stop was a couple blocks away. Verdict: we want to return there for future trips to NY, hopefully!

A spacious apartment in an excellent location

This apartment has everything you need for a short or long stay in New York. Two subway stations very nearby along with a gourmet grocery and a wine shop. One flight of stairs to climb, to get you fit for the subway! A very safe area with many excellent cafes and restaurants.

Great stay!

The apartment was wonderful and everything my girlfriend and I needed for our stay. Hosts were super accommodating and we'd absolutely stay here again.

Very roomy accomodation. Nice furnishings with plenty of linens and towels. Quiet location

Easy walking distance to subway and easy access to taxis. Located on street side but relatively quiet. Heating worked well. Enjoyed being able to open the window for fresh air as needed. TV worked well. Full kitchen, but we did not use any appliances. Lots of extra towels and linens were supplied. I would suggest the pillows on the bed be replaced completely since they are lumpy and flat as pancakes. The shower knobs leak water at their connections to the wall, and should be replaced. The drain was slow. I give it a 3.5 to 4 on cleanliness but i'm very picky. Our host was available for questions and responded quickly. Overall a nice, roomy rental.

Spacious and comfortable apartment

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely TriBeCa apartment. The photos reflect the spaces exactly as they felt. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The neighborhood was delightful. There was an excellent grocery less than a block away, a liquor store across the street and interesting shops all around. We walked uptown to Soho and especially enjoyed the Donald Judd house. We walked downtown to the One World Trade Center and the new World Trade Center station. There were excellent restaurants at every turn. The apartment is also located with easy access to multiple subway lines. We had an wonderful stay.

Quiet and Well-Appointed!

For those of us who have rented NYC apartments, this was a refreshing change. The apartment is true to its photos and descriptions and can also be described as clean, tidy, clutter-free, well-equipped, and tastefully furnished. While most vacation rentals look like your nephew's fraternity house rejects, this apartment's furnishings, fixtures, and equipment are practical and tasteful. Location is excellent: quiet neighborhood, while close to subway lines and easily accessible to ... anywhere! We look forward to a return visit.

Cool Loft in the middle of Tribeca

Great apartment. Steps to everywhere. Comfortable. I was there on business/ pleasure and was able to immediately be comfortable. Great neighborhood. Fun to explore. We walked from apartment to Brooklyn Bridge and over it (my daughter who lives in Brooklyn had never done that). I ran every day on the Hudson. I would definitely return.

Great Location

Your flat was perfectly located for all the walking and exploring we did. Located on a quiet street with great restaurants and upscale food market was just a block away. Long flight of stairs with low handrail to apt door may not be suitable for those unsteady on their feet or with lots of luggage. We travel light, so it was no problem. For future visits, we will be sure to book your place again!

❤️ Love this Loft Apartment in TriBeCa

It's certainly a dream to stay in a TriBeCa loft and I would recommend this one. Our stay was for 6 nights and we were very comfortable in this apartment with many amenities including WiFi, and a washer/dryer. In looking at rentals, many had nice spaces but tiny claustrophobic looking bedrooms with a bed against a wall. This was not the case here with a creative and very comfortable use of bedroom space and a clean and spacious closet. Clean would be a a key word for the whole apartment, it was spotless and the kitchen very nice. I also liked that no one lived there so we were not looking at personal effects. The whole rental process was well executed with Jillian an excellent contact, and the deposit returned promptly. The neighbors living above were relatively quiet, and if it is an issue the bathroom was small but just fine, plus one just needs to take the stairs to the first level into consideration. Otherwise the apartment is on a quiet cross street so noise was not a problem, plus I would say ditto for all positive things the other reviews have said regarding the apartment and area advantages. This is our second year in TriBeCa, we love the neighborhood, and look forward returning to this apartment plus staying longer.

Great Place!

We had a great stay at this apartment. The logistics were a breeze. The subway is a close walk. There is a great deli/grocery store also close by. The apartment was clean and extremely comfortable. We definitely would recommend this apartment.

Wonderful Loft in TriBeCa

Don’t look any further … we loved our ten days in this wonderful Tribeca loft. It’s spacious and well equipped and very conveniently located, being just two blocks to the Franklin Street subway. There is a wonderful grocery store one block away and a very good wine store just across the street. The area has many restaurants (try Robert De Niro's Tribeca Grill) and galleries and while you’re there, make sure you treat yourself to a session at the Ancient Aire Baths opposite. Jillian, our host, was just great to deal with, totally professional and very helpful. There are no hidden costs or admin fees, no surprises, just a reasonable security bond (returned promptly post visit), a cleaning fee and the nightly rate to pay. You should know that there are 15 stairs to the front door, but please don’t let that put you off. We are mid 60s and, taking it slowly, had no problem getting our luggage up and, after all, you only have to do it once. Jillian will send you the keys which is a little different but make it work as this place is special, we loved it. Thanks again Jillian. You're a star!! Our friends will be in touch.

Tops for Tribeca

The two outstanding features of this apartment are its size and location. The living and dining areas are huge by Manhattan standards and the high ceilings and tall windows add to the light and airy feel. It is a very short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the nearest subway and very close to the Brooklyn Bridge so all the major tourist spots can be easily reached. We found that we got very good value out of the weekly pass.

The place to stay on Manhattan

We just returned from a great week on Manhattan. Our home for that week was Jillian’s wonderful apartment in Tribeca. Several aspects of this apartment make it ideal as a base for exploring the city. The space was perfect for the two of us, and could easily accommodate four, if some were willing to sleep in the large living room. The high ceilings and large windows contribute to the sense of spaciousness. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and serving. The pictures on the website do a good job of showing the space, it is as nice as it looks. It is also well maintained and clean, everything worked as it should. The Tribeca neighborhood was a fun and relaxing alternative to our previous New York City locations. There are a variety of good restaurants within a few blocks. We especially enjoyed the Church Street Tavern, Landmarc, Gigino’s and Sole di Capri. There are also a number of close coffee shops (in addition to the required Starbucks on every corner), as well as a wine shop on the same block. And Whole Foods is only a few blocks away. Zuckers, just around the block, provided great New York bagels. Although we didn’t choose the location for shopping, we were pleased to find a number of interesting clothing stores and art galleries in the neighborhood. The apartment is also well located, as it is just off of Church, but on a quiet street with little traffic and noise. When you’re ready to venture out of the neighborhood, you’ll find easy access to three different subway lines. You can go practically anywhere on the island without changing trains. When went to the Cloisters, Broadway shows, the Upper East Side and to Brooklyn. All were easy subway trips. And several must see areas are short walks away. We walked to the World Trade Center site, Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho and Greenwich Village. Jillian was great to work with. She was always very responsive to our questions and many of our favorite restaurants were her recommendations. We’re looking forward to our next trip to New York and again making this our home away from home.

5 days in Tribecca

My wife and I recently spent a very active long weekend in NYC visiting our adult children. We chose staying in Tribecca for several reasons. It is a quiet family centered neighborhood and split the distance between our kids apartments. The apartment went rented was located nicely to trains at Franklin St and Cannal St. Also a Whole Foods in the neighborhood. The apartment was clean quiet and comfortable, had everything we needed for any home cooking and entertaining. Only lacking a blender. We would definitely rent this apartment again. Thanks

Great apartment & overall experience

This was a great find in TriBeCa. Perfect for a couple, close to all of downtown- soho,west village, financial district, world trade centre & Chinatown. Also great subway links to all of Manhattan. The owner was responsive & delightful to deal with. Plenty extra towels & bedding. Plenty space for luggage, lounging, etc great overall experience and only one flight of stairs up. Would recommend highly.

Lovely week in Tribeca

The apartment was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. It was clean with more than adequate linens and kitchen utensils. The street is quiet but close to Tribeca/Soho activities. 24 steps up to the apartment. The owner/manager was excellent to work with.
