Our stay was amazing, location was perfect, our room was very spacious and clean.We had 4 balcony’s with the best view.Will definitely return.

Perfect location overlooking the sea and harbour right in the heart of Ortigia. Beautiful modern apartment. Excellent communication and support from Wonderful Italy. Kitchen could be better stocked if you plan on eating in but very minor inconvenience. So close to countless restaurants, shopping, historical sites, water tours. Parking offsite a little pricey.

The GOOD: apartment is modern, very clean, comfortable, in an ideal location & has a fantastic view! The property itself deserves five stars, although it should be noted it’s a third floor walk up, so not appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. The NOT SO GOOD: check-in process was cumbersome. There was an extra check-in layer required by the managing agent, even though we’d already paid in full for the rental., Their website repeatedly glitched & froze. We tried messaging the agent through the VRBO website, but were met only with frustration. An agent ultimately met us at the property and all was quickly resolved. Additionally, apartment supplies were scarce. There were four bed pillows, but only two pillowcases, there were no paper towels, dish towel, or potholders in the kitchen, there was no laundry detergent for the washing machine. A trip to the supermarket and a nearby linen store remedied those shortcomings. Overall, we had a wonderful time, but a little more attention to detail would have made our experience much more positive.

The apartment is well appointed and in a great location. We had a car which ended up working out for parking. The apartment was very clean, looked just like the pictures and the team is very responsive. We loved being on the edge of Ortigia and felt it was close to everything. Was a lovely place to come home to each day. Note the apartment is on the 2nd floor, which is the 3rd floor by North American counting so fair number of stairs but easy.

Two night stay in Siracusa

Perfect location! Right in the middle of everything. Very clean and modern. Enjoyed our stay.

The host was helpful and responsive to our requests. Surprised by the limited amenities at the property such as only one set of bath towels for each person for a 5-night stay, only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 2 guests for a 5-night stay. We were denied any request for towel change or additional toilet papers. Most unusual in our experience with B&B or self catering properties in Europe.

this place is nice very nice. Super clean. Just about everything you would want. If you plan on cooking, it'll be a little hard here as they do have some decent cooking utensils but they only supply one frying pan and one pot. And the exhaust fan to be stove does not work. You do have three terraces with beautiful views, but they are just that little terraces that you could stand on don't plan on setting out and having a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The check-in process went fairly smoothly except for understanding what to do with the trash. We had an incident where we lost a set of keys, which is major because it controls the electricity in the apartment. The communication with the agent at this point, I will say it was terrible. We informed them what happened. They told me it would be late afternoon before they could help us. They told me they would inform me when young man who ran us the keys was on his way there with a second set of keys. More worried about who is going to pay for the keys and how much they would cost. We set for 1 1/2 hrs in a restaurant waiting to be texted that he was on his way. Finally, I texted them back and they texted me back that he was already there. When I went around the corner, he was very frustrated because he had been waiting for over an hour sitting in the blazing heat! The exact reason we were around the corner at the restaurant. All in all this young men went out of his way to be a super detective and find the keys.

Amazing

My husband and I had an amazing time at this beautiful apartment . Perfect location with walking distance to where all the action is . We will definitely be back next year . Our best VRBO stay ever . Highly recommend

Lovely apartment

A wonderful corner apartment with huge windows that allowed the sun to shine in all day. Very clean unit. Located just inside Ortigia so easy to access upon arrival with a car.

Highly recommended

This is an immaculate high quality apartment. We would not hesitate to recommend it. The parking is free but not always easy to find a space. We were lucky! We loved the easy access to the fabulous fruit, veg and fish market every morning.

Sicily visit

Location was excellent to walk to everything and great view of the water. The room was a good size but no lock box so be prepared to meet with someone to check in and out, you should ask for an extra set of keys then , my wife and I did different things some days and very difficult with one key to get back in and power the apartment. With only one set of keys.

Perfect place to relax and explore

This was a large apartment, so after a couple of months of travel it gave us some room to stretch out, relax and clean our gear. It sort of felt grand. Perfectly located with a great view and the large windows providing beautiful ventilation. Easy to get to and access. Although the people you talk to and the messages you write don’t necessarily seem to link, we had no problems with arrival or departure.

Very nice, but check in process needs improvement

The apartment was very nice and beautiful! There is not a good explanation of where to park and how to get your luggage to the apartment though…that part was very frustrating and needs improvement. If they would have given better parking instructions rather than just addresses (one of the locations just led to a gated off area) it would have been better…also arranging for a taxi or something to transfer luggage is needed.

Very pleasant stay

After being worried about the property not having many reviews, we were pleased that the property was as per the images. The check-in process was very smooth as we communicated with the property managers, Wonderful Italy, by WhatsApp, and met at the apartment. A few small improvements would elevate the experience: more dishwasher tablets because I think the previous people ran the dishwasher without tablets, so some dishes in the cupboard weren't very clean. Dishwashing liquid was supplied. More of a previous guest issue. The wi-fi was ok the first night, and then almost inoperable thereafter, so the advertised "smart working" wasn't possible. Needs to be sorted. Good washing machine. No detergent supplied, so we left some for subsequent guests. The double glazing and air-conditioning work really well, so the apartment is really quiet on the second floor. Very spacious. Plenty of crockery and cutlery for a couple cooking simple meals. A couple of larger knives would be useful. Great location, close to the market and other shops. Very enjoyable.

Modern apartment on top floor with stunning view. Looked good on arrival.We booked and paid for 4 people (2 adults and 2 teenagers aged 15 and 17). The sofa bed was beyond a joke, it was so short, squeaky and uncomfortable that my kids could not sleep on it (and they are used to camping). It had the thinnest mattress I’ve ever seen and a metal bar which went right in the middle of their backs. 3 sleepless nights! Indeed 1 of them slept with us.The welcome pack was a joke… 1 single coffee pod, 1 teabag, no sugar, no salt, no tea towel.You can’t put toilet roll down the toilet.The apartment is hosted by Wonderful Italy whom you need to meet at a specific time. There is no lock box/ code entry.There are 3 internal doors and only 1 set of keys are provided. The keys also operate the electricity so if only some of you go out the other person has to open up the doors. You also have to make a time for check out which we did but the“wonderful Italy” host didn’t even reply or show up at the allocated time. We left the keys in the apartment at 8am and didn’t even hear from them again until 11am. They don’t respond to WhatsApp messages so there is no way to contact them. We did tell them about the sofa bed and received some generic text saying they hoped to improve in the future. Not sure why the owner uses them. They are doing his/her apartment a huge disservice.This was by far the most expensive apartment on our entire Sicily trip and by far the worst.Book somewhere else.

die Positon des Appartments ist sehr gut und grundsätzlich war das Apartment wie auf den Photos. Was unseren Aufenthalt sehr eingeschränkt hat, uns unwohl hat fühlen lassen und wir nicht fassen konnten ist, dass der Vermieter verlangt, KEIN Toilettenpapier in die Toilette zu schmeissen, sondern in einen normalen Abfallkorb. Es kann nicht sein, dass ein solcher Zustand mit den sicherlich gesetzlichen Hygienebestimmungen einer Ferienwohnung akzeptiert wird! Ausserdem war die Kommunikation sehr schlecht (obwohl wir fliessend Italienisch sprechen). Wir hatten noch vor unserer Abreise eine andere Telefonnummer als Kontakt durchgegeben, welche bis zur Abreise im System nicht geändert wurde und entsprechend eine Kommunikation sehr schwer macht. Für den check-out wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass unser Kontakt die Wohnung abnähme und wir den Schlüssel abgeben könnten. Nachdem wir nach der vereinbarten Zeit noch 30 Minuten lang gewartet hatten und in der Zwischenzeit mehrmals versucht, jemanden telefonisch zu erreichen, kam die Nachricht, den Schlüssel in der Wohnung zu lassen und die Türe zu schliessen. Wir wundern uns, dass eine soche Wohnung über Expedia angeboten wird, da wir bisher sehr viele positive Erfahrungen gesammelt haben. Ganz sicher werden wir nie wieder eine Ferienwohnung bei Wonderful Italy buchen.

The property was lovely and very well located, but we needed a late checkout and that just wasn’t going to happen. Someone arrived at the property five minutes before 10 AM with no flexibility. Otherwise, everything was great.

Excellent endroit de séjour pour visiter Syracuse. Avis aux gens qui aiment cuisiner, la cuisine ne dispose que du stricte minimum.

Perfect Location! Great appartment!

We stayed for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. You can't find a better location in Ortigia! So convenient! We also worked form there, WIFI was very good! Would recommend Wonderful Italy to everyone!
