Buttercup Cottage ticked all our requirements for holiday accommodation, and we enjoyed every day of our 11-night stay. The property itself is quite new, superbly well equipped, has very comfortable beds and chairs, pristine bathrooms and large luxury towels. The position is extremely quiet, and the lounge and balcony have views over the golf course. Well placed for beautiful beaches, great walks and visiting superb National Trust locations. Kate was also extremely responsive to our one and only query.

We couldn't fault anything about the property. Lovely location overlooking the golf course. Really nice decor, bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen. Would definitely recommend!

Kate was prompt in replying to messages and questions, felt relaxed even before we arrived at the cottage. The cottage itself was clean and had everything needed for a break away from home, it had a lovely view of the golf course. Even though the cottage lay on a small development with other properties around, they were all on large plots and you were not overlooked. Very quiet and great base for exploring the area around.Would certainly recommend and would most definitely book again.

The cottage was beautiful and had everything we required for our stay. We appreciated how clean the property was and there was great communication from the host. We would not hesitate to recommend Buttercup Cottage and look forward to a return visit.

Had a fantastic time staying in Buttercup Cottage and was an excellent base to explore the wider area. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for weeks stay. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony to watch the golfers passing in the evening. Did not use the nearby clubhouse however did enjoy a couple of evening walks around the course. Beautiful quiet county location however actually only a short drive away from the main A1 made visiting various locations very easy and straightforward. Would highly recommend Buttercup Cottage. We had a very nice stay at Buttercup cottage. Property is nice, comfortable and tastefully furnished.We were some impressed how clean the property and all surfaces were on arrival.Location was idea as we were in easy reach of the beautiful places that Northumberland have to offer.

Holiday joy

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Buttercup cottage. It was clean, well equipped and in the perfect location. The countryside is amazing and Kate the owner was so very helpful. Can't wait to go back!

A modern, well appointed property in a quiet location. 1 min. from A1 giving easy access to locations N/S and with excellent connections to roads leading into the heart of Northumberland and to the beautiful coast.A real gem!

Lovely cottage, great location

Buttercup Cottage had everything you could need, a home from home, with quality furnishings and decor. Perfect location for exploring the wonderful Northumberland coastline as well as inland places of interest. Host was great at communicating by email, very welcoming and helpful.

Lovely stay!

We had a week in Northumberland visiting family and stayed in this beautiful cottage. Everything is decorated beautifully, warm and cosy. Great communication from the owner who is super helpful and responsive. Great location close to all the beautiful beaches and villages on the coast! Would highly recommend and hopefully we can stay again in future when we come to visit!

Clean, comfortable and a good location. There are more houses now, but doesn't detract from the setting, especially the outlook from living area. In fact nice to stroll around the overall areas - respecting fairways etc.Good for us both for Newcastle wedding (reason for trip) and exploring the countryside & coast.Learned that, most of the time, when heading towards Newcastle, it was easier to turn left onto the A1 and loop back at the caravan park a couple of hundred metres up the road. Quicker & safer too.Some (notified) roadworks on the site during our stay, but otherwise, peaceful and lots of birds twittering around - the Swallows seemed to love the porches and roofs of these properties.All in good vfm considering space, facilities, finish and location - wouldn't hesitate to re-use and recommend.Easy comms with Kate throughout - trip problem-free.
