Fantastic large family home for multi generations. Its set in large grounds with lots to do .Plenty of wildlife and was excited to see emus in the front garden. We had daily walks to feed the pigs, donkeys and ducks . The house is well placed close to witchcliffe ( Dear Darnells, great pub and good coffee too). Also close to Margaret River

Quiet, quaint, pretty, great for large/extended families or groups. Or yoga retreats/ team builds. A delight for children. We will be back. Xx thank you

As usual the Stayz drip pricing was disappointing and it was more expensive than it looked. BUT DJ was a lovely helpful host and we had a great time. The location and surrounds were lovely - peaceful and picturesque yet close to attractions. Perfect venue for a multigenerational stay with pet :-) comfortable and relaxed. Matches the description and has everything you might need.

We had a brilliant stay in the middle of winter. Many memorable meals around the table, and there are endless things to do in the area.

Family Friendly Place

We really enjoyed our stay at The Straw House. There is plenty of room, lots of games, a well equipped kitchen and kids loved visiting the animals.

Comfy place in the tranquil bush

Great place, with lots of space and beds to fit a large group. Lovely host that was great and easy to contact. Overall great stay and we will hopefully be back.

Family weekend

Beautiful place to stay in winter. Lots of quality family time playing board games, feeding the animals and having a good laugh. Host was very helpful and informative. We will definitely come back and stay longer.

Loved it at the Straw House! DJ is an awesome host and greeted us warmly and ran is through the home as well as the surrounds. The home met all our needs, which was to host a rugby 7s team. It was perfect for what we needed. We will 100% be back in the future.

A rustic pleasant surprise

More space than we had predicted for a large group and very centrally located… whilst still having that feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is not “glamorous” accommodation by any means, so if you want to the more “rustic, lived in” style, this is perfect.

PET friendly, spacious farmhouse, slightly strange layout, great for extended family. Open stairs are a safety issue for toddlers so you need to be vigilant watching them. DJ has provided lots of cooking utensils for large groups, the Oven is 90cm width & the BBQ is perfect. The internet is excellent & DJ is very helpful.

The perfect family holiday

The Straw House was perfect for our family holiday. We fell in love with the character of the home. The property had all the facilities we could possibly need. Great place for children with loads of space and local farm animals to visit. Would highly recommend for family holidays and adult groups looking for peace and tranquillity.
