Situated in the absolute heart of Pokolbin and surrounded by vineyards, restaurants and cellar doors, Verona Vineyard Cottage really is one of the most centrally located cottages in the Hunter Valley. Walk from your accommodation to Roche Estate, Hunter Valley Gardens or pop down the road for a round at Cypress Lakes.

Unwind at Verona Vineyard Cottage with the following bedding configuration:

Bedroom 1 - King bed OR twin share with ensuite

Bedroom 2 - King bed

Bedroom 3 - Queen bed

Bedroom 4 - Double bed

Single bed - alcove area of TV/lounge area

Trundle bed - alcove area of TV/lounge area

So, simply arrive, park the car, leave it there and then just wander off for a tasting of Hunter wine and perhaps a bite to eat. Head back to Verona and relax by the fire in winter or over the summer months, enjoy a BBQ with friends and family. This older style cottage is privately situated with vineyard surrounds yet it's right in the action. Perfect for concert weekends or any weekend; Verona Vineyard Cottage is all about location.

Great location and very comfy. Log fire at night was a treat as were the gorgeous Clydesdale horses in the adjacent paddock

Great stay

Great location for a family wedding in Pokolbin - very spacious and well supplied - a few things need repair/attention but very comfortable and convenient and we would certainly go again Loved the outlook with all the kangaroos

Verona cottage

Whole property is in need of refurbishment, most furnature was in poor condition. TV and its remote were not functioning properly. Needed to turn TV on at the TV. Remote functions were poor. Beds were comfortable and all linen clean. Property was resonably clean, but skirting boards, windows, walls & power points need more routine cleaning. Location is superb.

Thank you for your feedback Amanda. A check of the TV & remote has shown it was just a simple case of new batteries being needed for the remote, all fixed now. Verona Vineyard Cottage is extremely popular for it's location, and occupancy is high. A deep clean has been scheduled. Thanks again for bringing these things to our attention, we do hope to welcome you again sometime.

Great location

This house is in an ideal location and is very spacious and clean. It could just do with a bit of updating.

Exceeded expectations

This was a great home to stay over the weekend. So close to everything we parked the car and walked to both the concert and christmas display in the gardens and most importantly the pub!

Great Property

Stayed at Verona Cottage 4 ladies for 2 nights. The house is huge has 4 bedrooms very comfy beds. Was very clean and tidy has a great equipped kitchen has everything in the house you would possibly need. It does need a bit a refurb as it is rather dated and there is a bit of water damage that was explained as waiting on Insurance claim .Paving out the front could do with a redo as it is very uneven but in saying all that I would definatley stay here again as it is very central to everything in the Hunter Valley.

Not bad but needs improvement.

the location and size of the property is great, the beds comfortable, sheets clean, lovely surroundings. However the pathway from the carport is treacherous, muddy and dirty. the sensor flood lights don't work, its hard to keep dirt out of house. The DVD players are cheap and nasty, I had to rig up the dodgy chinese player on the bottom, without a remote,it was still hit and miss to play something for the kids... Half the lights in the house don't work,especially infuriating was not finding a switch for the kitchen fluro tubes.The place is crawling with spiders, centipedes and lots of mosquitos. The house is a bit tired. Holes in the ceiling and the flyscreen door kept falling off.Not exactly value for money...

Thank you for your review Paul. Please accept our sincere apologies that you experienced these issues during your recent stay. Unfortunately, just prior to your arrival the Hunter was hit with some very fierce storm events and this had caused some aggressive erosion along the pathway area. This along with some minor internal water damage as a result of the storms is currently under repair. This unseasonal heavy rains with the added influence of heat has also brought out the mozzies in great numbers. The light switch to the kitchen fluro light is just on the other side of the kitchen wall in the breakfast area (where the small round dining table resides). An electrician is booked to check the lighting at the property also; upon checking it appears the circuit that controls half the lights is tripping from time to time which may have been what happened during your stay. We do appreciate your comments Paul and improvements and repairs are underway!

Wonderful stay in the heart of the Hunter Valley!

We had a great time staying at the Verona Vineyard Cottage, the six of us had tons of space and were very comfy. The Cottage is at the centre of the Hunter but still is quiet escape.

Great place to stay!!! Will be back.

I am loathed to give this place a good review in fear that it will be booked out next time I want to stay there. Great location and nice and large for 3 couples to stay. Only problem is that it needs some fans in the bedrooms.

Perfect House for a weekend getaway

We had an excellent stay at Verona Vineyard Cottage. There were 10 of us and it was very spacious, plenty of room for everyone and a beautiful courtyard where we ate all of our meals. The house was clean, had an open fire and provided all the utensils we needed. The house is only a few minutes away from the Hunter Valley Gardens, Harrigan's pub, Pokolbin Village and Tempus Two winery. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and hope to visit again soon!

We had a great weekend staying at Verona Vineyard. The place suited our group perfectly and was centrally located which made getting around the place a lot easier. Will definitely look it up again when planning out next Hunter trip.
