We have stayed at " Boathound" many times. We love the canal to park the boat and that our dog can come with us. A well equipped and comfortable house.

Very family friendly property perfect for two family share with just about all games and fun things for kids you could think of. Such a relaxing atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, perfectly clean on arrival. Will certainly visit again

Comfortable holiday home

We have stayed at " Boathound" several times and always enjoy our stay. We appreciate that it is dog friendly and we can park the boat in the canal.

Great place to stay

Had a enjoyable few nights at boathound. Yard is as dog proof as they come House is in a nice quiet location Having the pontoon just there makes boating a breeze Kids enjoyed the selection of toys available Very affordable and easy to book.

The house was extremely comfortable because of its size however, the petty requirement to pay to use the air-con or washing machine with 2 coins was a definite putdown as tenants. The "self-clean" component of staying there was also pretty ridiculous. We always leave our accommodation immaculate however, we don't wash floors, scrub showers and glass tops of tables etc. It meant an extra 2 hours because in cleaning this property, we did way more than what is normally expected to leave a house clean and tidy. We won't stay there again because of this. There is no internet and we had a lot of trouble hot-spotting our own streaming services with their TV. The pet-friendly aspect was very welcome and we cleaned up anything she may have touched - which we thought was reasonable. The house is an older style but we have no issues with it as it was comfortable. The pontoon was greatly appreciated. We just felt that given, its age and the imperative to leave it absolutely spotless without the necessary tools to do so, made for a very unpleasant experience on leaving. We have travelled extensively and ran our own B&B so we are not novices in accommodation and we did not like the pettiness which made you feel more like an inconvenience rather than a valued tenant. It was not cheap accommodation.

I feel it necessary to respond to Cheryl 5-14Sept. firstly you do not pay extra to use washing machine. Next I don't know what she is talking about when she says cleaning materials are not supplied, there is a vacuum cleaner, brooms, mop & bucket and all cleaning supplies in kitchen. Cheryl Larsen should be charged with slander for her misleading remarks, and also STAYZ for printing mistruths

The Boathound

Lovely place to stay. Outdoor areas and pontoon were great. The house was nice on a quiet street. A nice kennel was provided too. Make sure you bring 2 coins as air con is pay as you go and there is no wifi.

Comfortable feels like home

This was our third stay which we enjoyed as much as ever. Love having our boat parked at the bottom of the garden.

On the Canal

Very nice, easy to locate, close to shops and water front. Enjoyed our stay. Caught fish and crabs off the pontoon. The house has everything you need for cooking a great meal, love how there are board games and books.

Boathound

We have stayed at Boathound a few times now. We love the convenience of being able to park our boat in the canal. The property is also dog friendly which is a bonus.
