Loved our Dodges vacation

Loved our family getaway, the Dodges location provided an ideal base for our family and the accommodation was perfect for our group of 8. Thanks Angela, we'll be back.

Great holiday house

We enjoyed our weekend at The Promenade. Roomy and comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay for a larger group. The only thing I would say was that it could do with a very good clean, the oven in particular.

We employ professional cleaners and this comment is the first negative about general cleanliness after many years of operation, so we are somewhat uncertain about what was not clean. The comment about the oven is noted and has been rectified.

Dodge’s Ferry

House was warm & welcoming. Plenty of bedrooms and loads of space for our group of 6. Everything you needed for a comfortable stay was available. Highly recommended!!

5 adults visiting from the Sunshine Coast

Great house, lots of beds and sleeping space. The house itself is full of charm and character, very clean and tidy and in a great location, walking distance to the shops and on the water. Two bathrooms was great especially travelling with 5 adults and the kitchen was fully equipped. We loved it.

A hidden gem

This is my second time to stay in this lovely house. It’s been improved and updated a little since my last trip which only enhanced an already lovely house. There is plenty of room indoors and out, and it’s lovely and cosy and comfortable. Loved the log fire this time!

Johnson Family Xmas

We had a lovely family Christmas of 6 adults and the house was absolutely perfect. Beautiful location, which is easily accessible to Hobart, Richmond and the Tasman Coast. Very comfortable, spacious home and Angela was extremely helpful and went above and beyond for our stay; to the point of putting out Xmas decorations. Highly recommend.

Nice but cold and slightly dated property

Enjoyed our stay, very spacious and comfortable, had everything we needed. But wouldn't want to stay more than 2 nights. Bathrooms are outdated, fridge was dirty and very old and kitchen utensils etc were either old or missing. Reverse a/c heating in lounge was great but little heater in the hallway does not make the rooms sufficiently warm at night, our toddler had to sleep in our bed.

The bathrooms are what you see in the photos. They are clean and functional. The comment about the fridge is noted and it will be replaced.

Beautiful property, really comfortable bedding, nice wood fire, excellent kitchen facilities, right on the waterfront which was beautiful, surrounding shops easy to get to. Excellent location and property was a beautiful beachy feel and very homely. We had an excellent time and will definitely rebook.

Just wonderful

This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The wonderful host Ange did everything to help after the cancellation of the boat over to Tassie. Really appreciated. All who stayed thoroughly enjoyed their time and the space this property offers. Location was lovely and quiet and it wasn't too far to enjoy a lot of different places, (my personal fav Bruny Island day trip). A shame it wasn't a longer time there.

Spacious seaside retreat

Great place for families or friends. Loads of space and separate wings and 2 living spaces to escape kids. Love the wood furniture and decor. Excellent communication with the managers. Lovely location - close to everything! Well set up and very comfortable and warm. We'll be back.

Excellent property

We had a restful, relaxing stay at this property in Dodges Ferry. The living area is particularly delightful with great views across the water. During the cooler evenings we enjoyed the fireplace while taking in the Hobart sunsets...beds were comfy and the electric blankets were a welcome addition. We had everything we needed to host family & friends for lunch. Dodges Ferry has an excellent supermarket with outstanding fresh produce. This property would be outstanding during the warmer months for a beach-side holiday...in April it was comfortable, generous and welcoming. The proximity to Hobart and the Tasman Peninsula is perfect. Thanks Angela for a great stay!

Excellent hosts, property was as described

Clean, tidy property, beds were just right for our family, excellent stock of basics in the cupboard, hot water was excellent, close to all areas, 10-15 mins to Sorell, 30 mins to Rosny, right on waters edge Property is on tank water so we purchased bottled water, tricky driveway entrance with a larger vehicle especially late at night Will defently stay again Host went above turns heaters on for our late arrival Thank you Angela much appreciated
