Brookside Cottage has it all! A cozy, open concept guest house with exquisite views, Brookside is perfect for a country getaway or ski base. Located in the Hills of the Headwaters, it's close to a number of conservation areas, including the Boyne and Mono Cliffs. Hiking, skiing, golfing, snowshoeing and biking are close at hand. Big skies for astronomers and astrophotography!

We offer 32 acres of wooded trails and fields for walking or snowshoeing. The area boasts a number of fine restaurants, boutiques, farmers' markets, museums and local artisans. We are 15 min from Mansfield Ski Club, Mansfield Outdoor Centre and Hockley Resort, and 60 min from Blue Mountain and Wasaga Beach.

Ideal for couples, solo adventurers or a small family. Perfect for 2, the cottage sleeps a maximum of 4. We are dog friendly and welcome well behaved, socialized dogs for an additional fee of $20/night/dog. (maximum 2 dogs)

Inside, rustic wood accents complement the modern amenities. In floor heating in shower area will keep you toasty in the winter and the new, fully stocked kitchen is perfect for cooking and is open to the living space, fireplace and entertainment area. Upstairs is a small loft and a bedroom with a queen-sized bed. (we can set up additional queen-sized double high air mattress bed and/or twin double high air mattress bed in the loft for children and extra guests) From every window, you'll have a view of the Mulmur Hills.

Brookside Cottage has dedicated WiFi, Bell Satellite TV, SmartTV, Disney Netflix, Prime (login with your account), DVD player/movies and Xbox.

Recommend snow tires/AWD/or 4x4 in winter months as the area can be blustery.

This is a great property. The cottage had everything that we needed and more. The host met us upon check in and was able to show us around and tell us about the property. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

The cottage was very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The property itself was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The only issue we encountered was that the shower water never became warm, every other tap in the cottage had hot water. Aside from that, everything else was great, and we really enjoyed our time there.

Spent 2 nights here for a local ultra race. It's a great spot with super helpful hosts. The cottage is excatly as described. It's a great setup and we highly recommend it. We'll be back!

We loved staying at this rental for a long weekend with our two dogs! The rental was spotless and had everything we needed for the weekend stay. We didn't have time to cook much while here but noticed that there were plenty of kitchen supplies if we had wanted to, and I was very happy the first morning to find fresh coffee beans and a grinder provided :) The property is lovely and has lots of trails. Our dogs enjoyed themselves and loved exploring. We also made friends with the wonderful horse that comes to greet you from the paddock. The owners are on site, are very welcoming, and communicate quickly, but they also gave us space and our stay was peaceful and quiet. We would absolutely stay here again - my only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay!

We had a great long-weekend stay at Dietrich and Tarias cottage!We travelled with our 2 young boys and our Bernese Mountain Dog. The cottage was a wonderful place to relax and we spent the evenings on the porch watching the sunset. Our host was fantastic and shared all her knowledge about their horses with our kids. They helped feeding and brushing the horses.It was a great location for our trip to the Mono Cliff Provincial Park and good restaurants were close by! (Burgers at Duffy’s! ) 5 out of 5 stars!

Excellent accommodations and a well stocked cabin. The three of us and our dog were very comfortable during our 3-day stay. We enjoyed walking the trails on the property and meeting the horses. Communications with the owners was great before and throughout our stay.

Perfect stay!

This place was the perfect stay for us. Lots of things to do on the property and the cottage is stocked with anything you could need. I appreciated the quick and friendly communication from the host. Would definitely recommend to any couples looking for a getaway!

Quiet Country Relaxation

Brookside Cottage is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay. Would visit again! Taria was very helpful with tips on sightseeing/hiking/activities and excellent places to eat in the surrounding area. We enjoyed the beautiful and quiet country setting.

Relaxing getaway

I was looking for a quiet, peaceful vacation out in the country- and this place offered that and more, with a cozy but modern cabin with full amenities. Perfect for people who want the atmosphere and relaxation of a vacation with the creature comforts of a staycation.

We loved every part of Brookside. It was very clean, organized,everything was available and well thought out, the grounds were beautiful, the horses were fun to pet, the gazebo and games were fun, Wi-Fi access was very good, transportation was fine once we acclimated ourselves. We look forward to going back again.

Lovely weekend spot

Lovely pace for a weekend away to unwind and have some quality time! The horses enjoyed some apples and we had fun with walks on the property and playing games from the chest of well stocked board games

Nice hidden getaway

The cottage is a cozy place with almost everything provided, and we even hade a chance to feed the horses. Highly recommended for family with young kids.

Beautiful cabin retreat

We looked for a number of years before we found the property we knew we'd never want to leave. It was an opportunity to bring our love of horses home with us. This area is special to us as it brings us closer to nature, provides us with the privacy and calm that we wanted yet close to every day amenities.
