Excellent clean well equipped 2 bedroom unit that has a fantastic host that is quick to respond if you need anything. Perfect close to the beach too.

Excellent place and location

We had a great stay here. The place was lovely, had comfortable beds, lots of reading material and was very clean and quiet. The location is great with a short walk to the beach. We would book here again.

We had a great week at Judith’s - everything as described, well appointed & fantastic location. Communication with Judith was excellent and we greatly appreciated her flexibility with our departure.

Getaway

Lovely presentation of modern update townhouse, close to the beach and terrific clifftop walks and not too far from Batemans Bay restaurant areas...And the Clyde river cruise with fish and chips for lunch onboard well worth a look.

Trevor & Jen loved their stay so much they both wrote reviews but Jen wasn't able to post hers so she asked me to add it here!! Due to Stayz we nearly didn't book this accommodation. Stayz were no assistance when we required their help with issues on their site. After several messages with the host Judith, glad we decided to book. The communication with Judith was easy & very respectful. The apartment is beautiful, well furnished & tastefully decorated. New kitchen, new bathrooms, the bath is superb, great supply of shower items too. Beds are so comfy. Heating works really well, but needed instructions for us oldies! Felt very at home staying here. Wonderful sunny front deck, fill the birdbath & enjoy the birds. There's parking at the front door but no carport or garage. Beach & bush walks quick walk down the road. Winter stay, but pool looked great. You will not regret booking this wonderful apartment. The host is delightful. And very easy entry into complex none of that show photo id stuff expected.

An absolute gem of a place

This lovely townhouse is absolutely wonderful for a coastal getaway. It’s within walking distance of a lovely beach, and has everything you need for a relaxing time. We keep returning - the atmosphere is perfect. Added note - if you’re a bookworm like me, comes with lots of books that really add a lot of soul.

Excellent holiday stay!

I enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing stay at no. 1 Wimbie - it's a beautifully kept property full of light and comforting details, such as books, DVDs and warm throws. Only 5 minutes walk to Wimbie Beach, and then on to Surf Beach and Denhams Beach. I would highly recommend it!

Great coast getaway!

Reluctant to give up the details of this gem, want to keep it to ourselves! Perfect spot for a girl's wknd, close to calm beach & bush walks, with onsite swimming pool & tennis court. Really felt like home, well appointed & thoughtful touches. Can't wait to come back.

Great location

A great little spot. Close to a good beach and bush to explore. Nice pool area. Apartment is well stocked, towels, fine is good - but the apartment itself is a little bit tired. Suited us just fine, but might not be well suited for people after somewhere a bit sharper.

Sorry to hear you thought Number1@Wimbie might not be “sharp” enough for other guests! It is absolutely true it is not - and does not profess to be - a cutting edge Grand Designs holiday retreat! The listing shows it to be a comfy place to kick back and relax. Indeed, for more than a decade guests have consistently described Number1@Wimbie as a relaxing, comfortable, clean and well appointed “home away from home” with a lovely, welcoming vibe. Happily your opinion appears to be very much at odds with other reviews … not to mention the long and growing list of returning guests!

A little stay in paradise

We were delighted when we drove up to the unit, and even more pleased when we entered. The place is very well equipped, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The setting is lovely, in bushland surrounds, very peaceful. And the pool was wonderful, not to mention the short walk to the beach. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home.

Like home, but better

We loved our stay at this property. The photos don't do it justice! Very clean and welcoming and wonderfully decorated. The bathrooms and kitchen are beautiful with everything you need and more. Judith was very kind and responsive and check-in was so easy. We will definitely stay again and will recommend to our family and friends.

A great location and beautiful unit

Very smooth process, great communication and we loved the unit. It was clean, and very nicely furnished and decorated. A few minutes walk to a safe, picturesque swimming beach. Also has easy access to a lovely swimming pool. A really nice experience.

Perfect beach get-away

Stayed here for four nights in April and loved it. Very close to the beach, property is well cared for and feels private even though the complex itself is quite big. Judith was a super responsive host. Highly recommend getting the linen package, great to not have to make up beds on arrival! Everything was comfortable and I really appreciated the well equipped kitchen.

Another wonderful stay at #1 Wimbie

It is our fourth time here, and it is still enjoyable. The property is top notch, and the location is just perfect. Judith is a fantastic host, and the only reason we won't be back is because we are leaving Canberra. Otherwise, we would keep on coming back.

Lovely unit

I booked for my parents, Judith helped make the booking clear and simple. The unit is very nice and located in a fantastic complex just a short bushland walk to the beach. They had a great time!

Visitors on repeat

This is a lovely cottage, which has a lot of charms and a really welcoming vibe. It’s a short walk to the beach and comes complete with entertainment for sunny and rainy days. Judith is a wonderful, responsive hostess and does everything to make sure the stay is special. We shall be back!

A great mini break with kids

Such a great location for easy access to Wimbie Beach and short drive or a 10 min walk to Surf Beach. Easy check in process, well stocked kitchen (cooking utensils, pots, pans etc), with a lovely surprise in the fridge. Plenty of comfortable seats in lounge room and both outdoor areas have seating options too. Great communication with host, prompt responses. Thanks Judith
