CLOUD 9 comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests (9 with infant) with 5 beds - 3 queens, 2 king singles, plus 1 couch/sleeper (200 x 70) - including:

1. The primary bedroom upstairs with queen bed, dressing room + ensuite with double bath
2. Bedroom 2 upstairs with queen bed, also linking to the eastern verandah
3. Bedroom 3 downstairs with 2 king single beds + wall-mounted TV
4. Adjoining bedroom 4 downstairs linking to the garden, with queen bed and shared bathroom, plus

You will be 'floating on air' at CLOUD 9 - perched between the peak of Eagle Heights and the scarp of Tamborine Mountain. CLOUD 9 is ideally located on the north-east edge of the mountain escarpment in a quiet, end-of-court position, bordering a 300-hectare environmental preserve. It's an energetic walk to the popular Botanic Gardens or a 3-minute drive to the lively shops, restaurants & wineries of Gallery Walk.

GATEWAY TO THE TRI-FOREST

The Mountain is home to some 7000 people and is a sanctuary for the native flora and fauna. CLOUD 9 is an island in the sky, surrounded by protected eucalypt, cloud & rain forests. Birdwatchers and photographers will appreciate the variety of some rare and spectacular species. Meanwhile, elusive platypuses swim in the mountain creeks, sleepy koalas live among the gum trees and by night the glow worms glow in the forest caves.

You can use the CLOUD 9 telescope to explore the ocean horizon from Moreton Island to Main Beach or survey the hinterland valleys of Wongawallan to the wetlands of Coombabah. The 3 suburbs on Tamborine Mountain are Eagle Heights to the north, North Tamborine in the middle & Mount Tamborine away to the south. Eagle Heights is the activity centre of the mountain, hosting the major attractions of Gallery Walk, the Botanic Gardens, the Heritage Museum, Curtis Falls, MacDonald National Park & Palm Grove National Park.

There is all-year dining for 8 out on the grand viewing deck with a 3-burner undercover BBQ - great for entertaining with family and friends. Look over the sub-tropical eucalypt forest that spills down the mountainside, identify the rare birds & butterflies, and use the binoculars to spot more reclusive wildlife. And for our wedding guests, there are several garden 'rooms' to reveal and many colourful props to discover for those special pre-wedding photos.

CLOUD 9 borders the ecologically sensitive headwaters of Tamborine Creek and minimises its environmental footprint with: low impact building materials; natural, dry-stone retaining walls; terraced gardens; organic flower beds, herbs & fruit trees; sensitive cleaning goods; solar & green power; gas hot water, cooking & heating; 2 filtered rainwater tanks; plus onsite waste management.

Sorry, CLOUD 9 is not designed for Bridal/Groomsmen groups. Instead, we offer a sanctuary for families, friends and wedding groups seeking our signature 'Country Zen'. To help maintain CLOUD 9 as a valued member of the Tamborine Mountain community, there are 5 reminders:

2. QUIET TIME by 10 PM
3. NO EXTRA GUESTS, NO VENDORS & NO VISITORS WITHOUT PERMISSION
4. NO FUNCTIONS, EVENTS or PARTIES and for the wildlife,
5. NO PETS.

Please note that as we are located in a special Eagle Heights residential escarpment, our 80sqm deck 'goes to sleep' at 10.00pm to respect our local fauna and our mountain neighbours. Our previous guests have overwhelmingly respected our privileged location. We trust you will too.
